In nuclear physics and chemistry a nuclear reaction takes place when two nuclei or nuclear particles collide to produce products from the initial particles. Thus when a Lithium6 particle collides with a Deuterium2 particle, a dramatic reaction occurs to produce two Helium4 particles. At the same time a tremendous amount of energy is released.
When Emet (Truth) is invited to collide with a human soul it too reacts, expanding the soul with Light, and releases spiritual, psychic and physical energy within which is used to animate our beings in the service of that Emet. That energy is called Ahavah or Love.
When Ma'al (Falsehood) is invited to collide with a human soul it too reacts, contracting the soul into Darkness, and releases spiritual, psychic and physical energy which is used to animate our beings in the service of that Ma'al. That energy is called Sane' or Hate.
There is as precise a spiritual science that operates in the soul as there is that operates in the body and in physical matter generally. Every choice that we make matters and shapes us into what or who we are. And since we are making choices practically every second of our life, that must mean that we are the product of trillions of choices, each of which leads us into the light (and towards Messiah) or into the dark (and towards Satan). Each of those choices releases an energy or animating principle into us for good or for evil.
This makes people extremely complex entities. What if we make wrong choices? Can we erase or modify the effects of them in our being? We can, of course, change direction in our behaviour and choose to permeit reactions with Emet to take place in our beings and so shift the balance of light and darkness within us. However, what we cannot do of our own is to erase all of that negative Sane' or Hate energy. Meditation - dissociating the soul by human will-power - does not work - all that does is bury the darkness into the subconscious where it continiues to work its negative effects in us without our always being aware of it, until one day it breaks out in anger and/or some dark deed.
To reverse a nuclear reaction requires huge amounts of energy. The same is true on the spiritual plane - and this is an energy that the soul does not possess because the soul is not Elohim (God). Two alternatives to the human connundrum present themselves - two very dfferent solutions.
The one suggests that man has latent within himself godlike powers known as Kundalini by various religions and systems of the occult - tap into that, they say, and you can empower yourself. And it is true, this kundalini does release great powers. What these powers sadly do not do is reverse the negative trend I have been speaking about. Rather, they simply add to the problem. Why? Because they are the cosmic equivalent of that Sane' or Hate energy I spoke of. They are simply concentrated masses of Ma'al that has reacted with the human soul. The master or lord of these powers is Satan and the resident (though largely hidden) power in the human body is the Adamic, Carnal or Fallen Nature which comes from the dark side. These forces have been released with terrible destructive consequences for mankind and the world - we even see them at work in the Charismatic Movement with all its counterfeit spiritual manifestations.
The second solution is to turn to the the Source of all Ahavah or Love Power, the Master Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ). He alone has the power ot reverse or cancel the effects of the demonic, Adamic kundalini on the human soul whose root is Ma'al (Faleshood), Sane' (Hate) and its master or lord, Satan. All that is required of us for this radical spiritual surgery is surrender of our personal will to the Master Yah'shua (Jesus), by repenting of the wrong (sinful) choices we have made, and making the choice to thereafter only choose Emet by trusting in Yah'shua and His accomplished redemption for us on the Cross.
There is a very real and important relationship between faith (actively trusting in, yielding and clinging to) Christ and making right choices on a moment-to-moment basis. The latter does not, however, mean that we need to turn our self into neurotic wrecks 'worrying' about all these choices we make each day (fearful of making wrong ones) because in authentically trusting in Messiah we receive moment-by-moment guidance from Him with the vast bulk of the decisions being made subconsciously while we get on with the day to day business or ordinary life. We call this process 'Yah'shua-at-work-in-us'. Through familiarity with righteousness and goodness - which is a combination of guarding the commandments carefully and listening to the Ruach (Spirit) for His Word - we learn to wark in the stream of His Light with perfect Shalom or peace. When mistakes are made, we should change direction (repent) on a daily basis by having one or more 'daily reviews' with the Master in prayer-time so that we can end each day with a clean slate.
And like a nuclear reaction, this process just 'takes off' spectacularly once it gets started. Believers call this being "born again" (Jn.3:3,7; 1 Pet.1:23), which is the initial act of salvation. A synergism is at work, with more good leading to greater good, freedom leading to more freedom, peace leading to more peace, and joy leading to more joy. Only we can interrupt that process by saying 'no more' by choosing to listen to, and react with, the dark counterfeit light. And sadly, a parallel synergism with evil occurs in the reverse process too.
