The gift of seership has always been
present amongst God's people from the earliest times. Though the first reference to a
vision in the Bible is in the life of the great patriarch Abraham (Gen.15:1) we may with
reasonable certainty assume that the gift of seership predated him. The New Testament is saturated
with visions, beginning with Zecahariah's vision in the temple (Luke 1:22) and ending with
one of the longest and most dramatic visionary accounts, the apostle John's Book of
Revelation. A long tradition of seership is therefore to be found stretching back to
the earth's earliest times and down to modern times.
Seership has been a characteristic of the New Covenant Church of God since its inception
in the 1980s. The Olive Branch, a collection of revelations, prophecies, inspired
dreams and visions published by the Church, contains over a hundred visionary accounts. Even
this, though, is the tip of a very large iceberg of visionary experiences, most of which
are not published and are to be had only in the Chavurah Bekorot (Holy Order). You will find
the Olive Branch visions on the Revelations Page.
The purpose of the Visions Page will be to share with you some of the more recent
visions received by the prophets of the New Covenant Church of God as well as to discuss
some of those to be found in the Olive Branch. A clear distinction is made here
between "visions" and "inspired dreams" on this page -- visions are supernaturally perceived
pictures (sometimes with sound, more often not, though) whilst in the awake (fully
conscious) or semi-conscious state. Visions come in many forms, from being purely
symbolic to actual pictures of real live scenes, with many shades inbetween (mixtures of
real images with symbols).
Understanding how to interpret visions (and especially the more symbolic types) is not a
skill instantly learned, unless one is specifically anointed with the Spirit of God to do so
supernaturally for a particular vision. Interpretation is a skill learned through much
personal experience and self-discipline. Typically, one not endowed with the gift of seership has considerable
problems understanding the visions of others, and it is for this reason that many of the
uninterpreted visionary books of the Bible (like John's Apocalypse) have been
interpreted so differently.
A word of warning -- not every vision is necessarily from God. Visions, like dreams, have
three possible sources: (1) The True God, Yahweh-Elohim; (2) the fantasies and fertile
imaginations of unregenerated men and women; and (3) -- the most dangerous of all -- from
Satan and his demonic cohorts, who often appear to be what they are not. Examples of all
three will be shown on this site. Almost all religions have "seers" of one sort of
another claiming supernatural manifestations, including visions. Remember -- a supernatural
vision is not necessarily from Yahweh-God but may be an attempt by Satan to mislead and
ensnare. I have seen such and, mercifully, been able to expose them. Examples will appear
on this site.
Seership is not, moreover, a game. The one called by God into seership must be highly
self-disciplined, subjected to Christ, and obedient to the Word (the Bible) in all matters.
He (or she) must measure the claims of any vision (especially if its content is doctrinal and/or
pertains to salvation) against what God has already revealed. It is not
uncommon for a Seer of God (particularly a young and inexperienced one) to become proud and conceited, to boast of his gift, and to be
tempted to gather personal disciples -- such are soon deceived by devious spirits and end up
(often unwittingly) as disciples of the Enemy. Many false seers wear the robes of Christianity
and are recruiting for a counterfeit Christianity (usually with New Age roots).
If you are coming to this site out of idle curiosity or because of personal ambition for
power and influence over people, leave immediately. This site is not for you.
If you are coming to understand, or to mature in the gift of seership which God has given you,
with a view to bringing honour and glory to Yahweh-Elohim and His Son Yahshua haMashiach
(Jesus Christ) and not yourself, then welcome.
