It is astonishing how much misinformation there is not only in the world in general but especially amongst Bible-believing evangelical Christians whom you would have thought would have known better. But believers tend to uncritically accept anything and everything their pastors and priests teach them from generation to generation. And, it would seem, the longer something gets encrusted with age, the more believable it seems to become in the minds of most.

One of the myths believed by orthodox Christians is that God's Law or Torah was introduced for the first time by Moses and then repealed by Christ. Now, we are told, we are the children of Abraham (Gal.3:7) and live by a much simpler faith. The idea that the Law or Torah predated Moses is regarded as nonsense. And yet it did. It may not have been systematically recorded as it was by Moses but there is not the slightest doubt that it was in existence and was observed by the Patriarchs.

As early as Genesis 7 we learn that Yahweh's dietary or kashrut laws were in existence. How do we know? Because Yahweh told Moses to ensure that there were both "clean" and "unclean" animals on the ark:

"You shall take with you seven each of every clean animal, a male and his female; two each of animals that are unclean, a male and his female" (Gen.7:2, NKJV - also see v.8)

A couple of chaptes later Yahweh tells Noah that he must not eat the blood of any animal:

"But you shall not eat flesh with its life, that is, its blood" (Gen.9:4, NKJV).

Is there evidence that more Torah existed before Moses was given it again at Mt.Sinai? Definitely. We know that the Law of Capital Punishment was mandated for murder because of what Yahweh said to Noah:

"Whoever sheds man's blood, by man his blood shall be shed; for in the image of Elohim (God) He made man" (Gen.9:6, NKJV).

"You shall not murder" (Ex.20:13, NKJV).

"When they have a difficulty, they come to me, and I judge between one and another; and I make known the statutes (chukkim) of Elohim (God) and His laws (Torot)" (Ex.18:16, NKJV).

"And you (Moses) shall teach them (the children of Israel) the statutes (chukkim) and the laws (torot), and show them the way in which they must walk and the work they must do" (Ex.18:20, NKJV).

• 1. They already knew the Sabbath Law (Gen.2:3; Ex.16:23);
• 2. They already knew that adultery was forbidden (Ex.12:18);
• 3. They already knew there were laws against sexual immorality/licentiousness (Ex.18:20);
• 4. They already knew that fornication was forbidden (Ex.34:7);
• 5. They already knew all about the rights of the firstborn (Ex.25:33);
• 6. They already knew about the law of Levirate Marriage (Ex.25:3-10);
• 7. They already knew about the law of Tithing (Ex.28:22);
• 8. They already knew about the law of Dowry (Ex.34:12);
• 9. They already knew about the law of Ceremonial Cleansing (Ex.35:2);
• 10. They already knew about a number of laws governing animal sacrifice (Gen.4:4; 15:9; 22:2-3,13).

"When Abram was ninety-nine years old, Yahweh appeared to Abram and said to him, "I am El Shaddai (Almighty God); walk before Me and be blameless (perfect)" (Gen.17:1, NKJV).

"Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your Father in heaven is perfect" (Matt.5:48, NKJV).

"Abraham obeyed My voice and kept My charge, My commandments (mitzvot), My statutes (chukkim), and My laws (torot - plural of Torah)" (Gen.26:5, NKJV).

'You mean, Abraham and the Patriarchs were even observing the seven annual festivals?' Yes, and more:

• 11. They already knew about observing Pesach (Passover) and Chag haMatzah (Unleavened Bread) because it is described as "an everlasting law" (Ex.12:43-48);
• 12. They already knew that there was one Torah for everyone (Ex.12:4,9);

"Whoever commits sin also commits lawlessness (Torahlessness), and sin is lawlessness (Torahlessness)" (1 John 3:4. NKJV).

Not only has Torah been with us from the very beginning - since Adam and Eve were thrown out of the Garden of Eden - but it is very clear from Scripture that Torah is still with us and that it will be with us until the very end of time (Mt.5:17-20; 1 Jn.2:3-4; 3:4,24; Rev.12:17; 14:12). Search the Scriptures and you will see that it is so.

Without Torah no man can be declared either righteous or sinful and yet Abraham was declared "righteous" (Dt.6:25), as was Noah.

When the nation of Israel assembled at the foot of Mt.Sinai to receive the Torah or Law they were not receiving it for the first time. Rather, they were receiving back a pre-existant Law which was reiterated to them and they were entering into a fresh covenant to obey it (see Shavu'ot). They were having it restored to them only because they had lost it before.

Sadly, Christians seem to have lost it too. They is why we are reminding them of it!

In this battle we are in, we get hit on many sides. The 'pagans' think their stories pre-date Yahushua and we have a 'pagan' story of our salvation. Though they believe lies thinking they are 'older' than Yahushua to say, and have fables made up of lies of the same original book declared in the signs of the Heavens older than any fable. The fables are based on the truth just as every lie as iniquity, is based upon or a result of the truth. Yahushua had the first word and He will have the last word. It is amazing to me that so many cannot fathom what it means to Delight In the Torah/'law' of the Inward Man as Paul wrote in Romans 7:22, we Knowing He is Alive His Heart within put into full effect forever that Foundation the Rock of True Love, Mercy Reconciliation, and all fruits given of the Holy Spirit of Truth our Father even our Daily Bread. Get some of that Power and man I would rather do nothing else than Delight Delight Delight in that kind of Torah/'law' Alive, the Master Himself is so so good...!! Would that All never deny whom He is and Let Him show His Interpretation of All Scriptures as He spoke to the two on the road in Luke 24. A severity of Heart that others bind together in the Powerful OIL for Bright Burning of the Menorah because the Desolation is coming to it's fullness and a horror to have exposure to it in seeing the total desolation of the desolate whom are blind and even opposing their own Being/Existence, as well oppose any whom truly do have Eternal Life within and will cause penalty of death for not submitting to them. Even the Private Torah Interpretation of the desolation, those who deny Yahushua, think He was a 'pagan' fable just like the stories of 'deity' that arose in many civilizations of the past and even still having root today in the 'star' and the 'ow'el'... So popular are those even we would be agahst at discovery those things are in every nation of significance and being practiced by politicians and multitudes of the 'elite'... and even many popular religious preachers/prophets of this day. Today a good message Lev, to seek what I would call the Yahushua Interpretation of Torah/law and all scriptures where He will show what Great Things He has done, is doing and will do for His People of His Eternal Covenant, literally those of His Body being made so by confession of mouth of Yahushua our salvation the Baptizer of Power of His water and His fire! Though we also know what our Father has declared about relying on any other than His Supreme Authority as our way of life, our very being, to hold on to for dear life.
