Teshuvah #24 The Herald
His Message, Delivery and Authority
Every time a messenger of Yahweh proclains a message which will be unpopular and even provoke rage, it is not uncommon for the people to urge him to tone the message down.' This will damage the ministry!' or 'You'll just be hated even more for saying that!' are not untypical responses.
Recently a Christian lady 'warned' me, out of 'love', that the message I was proclaiming was leading people astray because I was urging believers to obey the commandments which she claimed was undermining the grace of Christ...which had nothing to do with Torah. She said that a vision I had recently seen of a burning door was for me and was my own house. If I did not repent, I would be doomed. I did not at the time say whose door was burning in the vision as there was a private message in the vision too that was not for public consumption. It was not my door, though. Had it been, I would have been on my knees trying to get right with Yahweh.
Yah'shua is the Messiah of both the Alef, Alpha or Milk Gospel as He is of the Taw, Omega or Meat Gospel. If you accept the Alef-Taw Messiah, the Alpha-Omega Christ, and the Milk-Meat Saviour, you have to accept the Beginning and the End and everything inbetween (Rev.1:8,11; 21:6; 22:13) - for Torah-observers, that means accepting the Alef Gospel - the simple foundational evangelical Christian doctrine of salvation by grace alone - and for the antinomian Christians, that means obeying all the commandments in Torah not fulfilled and abolished by Yah'shua (like animal sacrifices). You can't have the Alpha-Christ but reject the Taw-Messiah, or vice versa! That's as ridiculous as trying to force a baby to eat meat or an adult to drink only milk all its life (Heb.5:12-6:3).
If you reject any part of the Gospel Whole, you eventually reject the whole of it. Someone who rejects Yah'shua, obviously rejects both Alef and Taw - he is denying both the foundational truths (the alef emet or seed) and the deeper truth that lies within the seed (the taw emet, the plant that grows from the seed).
Paul Washer once said the man who proclaims the whole truth or emet of the Gospel is doing the work of a herald. Such a man is under the authority of the Melek or King (Yah'shua). His business is to deliver the message or decree of the King. His assignment is to make a proclamation, not to find some persuasive argument to try and convince the hearers of the King's message, or even to make it palatable. The function of the herald is to deliver the message given to him by the King in the same way that He had been given it! The King will not blame the herald if the message is not received, but rather hold those who refused to receive the message to account.
The responsibility of being a herald (an aspect of prophetic ministry), then, is two-fold:
- 1. To deliver the message given by Yahweh; and
- 2. To deliver that message in the same way as Yahweh gave it to us!
Two interesting and important observatioons flow out of these two truth statements:
- 1. We can't go changing the message to please other people; and
- 2. We can't change the delivery style to please other people either.
If you don't know the message and you don't know the delivery style (which only an acquaintance with Scripture and/or the Ruach haQodesh/Holy Spirit will permit) you are in trouble. And if you haven't been called and given authority as a herald of Yahweh, you are in bigger trouble still, so don't try to be one! It doesn't matter how much or little you love someone because love without divine commission does not make you a herald. Yahweh does not, of course, usually call heralds who do not love the people they are commanded to take a message to, though He has done so - for example, Jonah, who loathed his audience, the Assysrians of Nineveh. In spite of his heart and attitude problem, Yahweh still used him for the job, even after disobeying the first time he was called.
Frequently I am called to deliver messages from Yahweh which have hard punches. There was a time I wanted to minimise the 'impact' because I was afraid to 'lose' my hearers. No more. This is not a popularity contest otherwise we would be preaching messages to tickle people's ears...and lead them down to hell. We are not here to guage a response or check on our ratings. Yahweh has had to let my face be rubbed into the dirt to bring me to a point where I no longer care about my reputation but about the message and the One sending it. True, one can get cocky, careless and promiscuous spiritually-speaking by going in the opposite direction of recklessness - many ministers who have been beaten up by the world metaphorically-speaking can often end up going to the opposite extreme and regretting that as much as they regretted their cowardice at the other end of the scale of sinning. Balance in emet-truth is everything.
If you're called by Yahweh to be a herald I hope you will remember these things. Deliver Yahweh's message in His way and in His timing. Make proper teshuvah and return tomorrow with me for a message that will hopefully make the hairs stand up on the back of your head as it did mine when I received it yesterday. Amen.

"That is wonderful! Something I've been engrossed in the last couple of weeks has led to some amazingly more insight of that unleavened bread we eat by the Menorah of burning Oil, all seven flames lit of great fellowship with our savior and Father YHWH within us even.
"Having that Power of Life should make us hunger and thirst after righteousness, seeing that garment we wear is the Life of Righteousness where it consists of perfect Commandments and Statutes our Yahushua has put into full effect for us. And we wear that garment to have delight in that Torah/'law' of the inward man to love the commandments in a way it is impossible by mere Dust Mind Learning. We have renewal of mind in the truth by the Life of the Blood, the Holy Spirit witnessing of those things of our beautiful garment, in that place where we have remission of sin and it is impossible to be condemned. So we 'eat' those commandments and so as our Master said in great overcoming. Even if we are not lined up with them it is like a process, that if we love them and keep eating them with great hunger, the outward results will be to put to death the deeds of the body and to begin to walk on those serpents and scorpions where we cannot be harmed. Even the desire for some things as we mature are totally dead and we tackle the next things even as they become more and more subtle and we find that gentleness of our Master who is bringing us to be conformed to His character in great Love and Mercy if we just keep on saying unconditional Yes to His voice and walk in action where we are doing that will of our Father to find the essence of Life. To have healing, to have Power for all things overcoming and to lead in Love and Gentleness those who may still be floundering in confusion of what our obligations are for getting to Know our Savior. Not having salvation of great Price, that Talent and having buried it in the ground to walk after that Dust, instead of Making great interest on it in walking after the Spirit that is set-apart and Holy and the reason for the word Holiness. Blessings, A= T in A= M T (as Ancient Hebrew as I can get in English) but is the First and the Last, in Great Truth!!
