If I were the devil seeking to fool as many believers as I could in my last hour I would seek to duplicate as many biblical prophcies as I could to make it look as though either the (mythical) rapture or the (authentic) second coming was imminent and then strategically place my own false saviour. I would get believers exposing themselves by gathering to the wrong places at the wrong times in order to mislead and destroy them. I would weave such a crafty web of deception as to make everything I was artifically manipulating look as though Scripture was unfolding before their eyes. Wouldn't you?
Larry McGuire of Followers of Yahushua Ha Mashiach ministries absolutely believes this and has written a convincing paper entitled, The False Armageddon, confirming a number of end-time scenarios that I absolutely believe (though I do not necessarily accept his cloning theory). I have long maintained that the modern day Republic of Israel is such a counterfeit (see Jacob's Trouble) and have no reason to change my mind on that at all. Indeed, everything I see and read confirms it.
The technology to make man-made national disasters - earthquakes, tsunamis, change the weather, and so on - indisputably exists (see Satanic Signs and Wonders: Don't Be Deceived by Them). I would like my listeners and readers to therefore seriously consider this possibility: that Satan is using evil men to create geological instability (using HAARP, for example), manufacture wars, create a false Israel (a false gathering of Israel to the Holy Land) and start a false Armageddon (World War 3). How could he manage to do that? By twisting scriptures concerning the end of the Millennium and making them appear as though they point to the time immediately before the Millennium!
At the same time, if I were the devil, I would create plenty of 'phoney counterfeits' which only the imbecillic would be fooled by such as giant holograms and other 'signs and wonders'. I would get people so jumbled up in their minds so that they are so busy looking at every whackey conspiracy theory that they would miss the real conspiracy of deception. I would get people hooked onto UFOs (as I was once) running down a false trail of aliens, priming the public with a whole spate of SciFi movies to condition their thinking and expectations, having first convinced them of evolution. I would be spinning such a complex web of deception, in fact, with so many false trails, such that only those who were fully trusting in Yah'shua and walking in the Torahwould not be fooled, since the trusting and obedient are always given the spirit of discernment. And of course I would cover my tracks so well that anyone talking in the way I am now would be made to appear mentally ill.
I was once of the belief, like the bulk of evangelicals, that Armageddon would immediately preceed the Second Coming of Messiah. But that is impossible. I absolutely believe that there will be something like the biblically described Battle of HarMegiddo (Armageddon) but that instead of ushering in the true Messiah, it will usher in the Antichrist or AntiMessiah. The reason I know that Armageddon cannot possibly be until the end of the Millennium, when the devil and his angels are released once more to tempt the nations, is because the description of the condition of the Holy Land when this battle suddenly takes place is one of settled peace of all the tribes of Israel:
"You and all your troops and the many nations with you will go up, advancing like a storm; you will be like a cloud covering the land. 'This is what the Yahweh-Elohim says: On that day thoughts will come into your mind and you will devise an evil scheme. You will say, 'I will invade a land of unwalled villages; I will attack a peaceful and unsuspecting people-all of them living without walls and without gates and bars. I will plunder and loot and turn my hand against the resettled ruins and the people gathered from the nations, rich in livestock and goods, living at the center of the land'" (Ezek.38:8-12, NIV).
The modern Israeli Republic has known nothing but trouble since it was founded and may very well spark off the false Armageddon or World War III with the Muslim would as was planned all along. The secular and antichrist non-Messianic Jews do not fulfill the required conditions. The people whom Ezekiel describes have no kind of protection anywhere. Look at the Israeli Republic - it is an armed fortress! Walls are criss-crossing the country to separate Jews from Palestinians. The IDF has a nuclear capability. But Ezekiel's Holy Land is a land where the people are dwelling in safety and in peace!
"Therefore, son of man, prophesy and say to Gog, 'Thus says Yahweh-Elohim: 'On that day when My people Israel dwell safely, will you not know it?''" (Ezek.38:14-15, NKJV).
Most of what you are seeing going on in the world - the wars, natural disasters (including the Gulf Oil Spill scam), and political machinations - is all part of a complex contrived action designed to catch disobedient Christians and Messianics off guard. These people are so arrogant, indeed, that they usually announce all that they're going to do in advance in some form or another. Mankind, unequipped with supernatural discernment, is never going to see through all the lies and deceptions.
