Month 7:15, Week 2:7 (Shibi'i/Sukkot), Year:Day 5945:192 AM
2Exodus 8/40
Gregorian Calendar: Tuesday 21 September 2021
Sukkot 2021 I
The Elohim Narrative I & Bridge Vision

    Introduction

Shabbat shalom and welcome to the Feast of Tabernacles or Sukkot, the first day of the seven day-long concluding annual festival of Messianic Israel in this year of Penultimate Judgment. Unusually, our sukkah or tent this year has been decorated with real fruit (which we've never done before) and we're holding our service in the evening instead of the morning. The reason for the first is we like to decorate differently each year and the reason for the second was I was very ill yesterday and unable to prepare today's message until this morning, plus, it would seem, I needed a special revelation this afternoon. So Yahweh has all this worked out. And though I was exhausted from my ordeal the day before, I was not allowed to rest this morning as the urgency of the message weighed heavily. You will understand why by the time we come to the end of what I have to day this evening.

Israel's Harvest Festival and the Messianic Wedding

But here we are again, celebrating Israel's harvest festival which was a pointer to the Marriage Feast of the Lamb. So unlike the austere Yom haKippurim (Yom Kippur, Day of Atonements) moed which we observed a few days ago, in which we didn't eat anything, Sukkot (Tabernacles) is one of celebration and thanksgiving for the harvest successfully gathered in and for the day all believers yearn for, the Second Coming of Messiah, and the wedding festivities of the Bride, and the Millennium. Sukkot (Tabernacles) is the final harvest of souls at the end of this æon (age).

    The Sukkot Pilgrim Feast Gathering

Like the eight day-long Pesach (Passover) Season, we are commanded at Sukkot (Tabernacles) to basically have a good time of fellowship and feasting. So important is this to Yahweh that He commanded us to devote approximately a third of our annual tithe to finance both the purchase of harvest food and to enable pilgrims to travel to get to the fellowship and worship gatherings. Originally it was to Jerusalem where the Temple was located but under the New Covenant it is to wherever groups of congregations agree to meet up. We are commanded to do this even when we don't much feel like doing it, as in times of war, sickness, political turmoil, and the like. And with lockdowns and sickness caused by the current Covid-19 Panedemic, most people are staying at home. Indeed this is the first year we have had no visitors which feels a little strange I must say. However, we must make do and hopefully next year, on the other side of this trying time, many will attend. I wasn't frankly even sure we'd manage a meeting today but I was wrong.

The Great Narrative of Messianic Israel

Why are we here today? What are we doing? Why is this so important that Yahweh has commanded us to do it? The answer to these questions is that we are a part of a story, a narrative, which the Creator has designed in order to bring us to perfection and into right relationship with Him. This is the seventh and last 'chapter' of this cycle of processes and events, which repeats annually and which also repeats over longer periods of time in history. As the seventh annual festival, it is the 'sabbath' or 'resting' festival of the seven. This is how the present world system ends one day - with harvest, abundance, joy, and delight. And it's not as though this is something 'new' to us - we do it every time we celebrate a birthday, the coming into the world and into our lives of someone we love, only this time we are celebrating our Creator, our Elohim, our God, for bringing us into existence so that we could share in His joy, which is beyond improvement, which is perfect, because it is infinite.

We are supposed to be inside and continuing the Bible narrative...

    False Gods and Right Etymology

This whole cycle of festivals tells the story of how we, if left to our own devices, first of all become enslaved to the consequences of our stupid, reckless choices, as Israel was enslaved in Egypt, and the way to liberation. The answer isn't secular Marxism which denies the existence of any God and which history has shown us time and time again to be hell on earth; nor is it serving the invention of a man-made god, but in dealing with ultimate reality, with truth. This means rejecting both the lies and all the half-truths. Part of the problem we face in dealing with half-truths - and I hope you'll agree they're the really tricky part of the equation - is the way in which the meaning of words have been redefined, which is why I am such a stickler for doing etymology - getting the meaning of words right - because this is the primary way of communication for all of us. Break down the lines of communication, as happens in every age which which seems to be particularly true in our postmodernist age, and the truth becomes hard to find and grasp.

What Do We Mean by 'God'?

Take the English word 'God' for example. Go into any culture and ask them the people in it what 'God' is. They will define the word, and how they perceive him, she or it, in any number of different ways. If you then set all these definitions side by side, it can cause any amount of confusion. The Islamic, Hindu, New Age, Rabbinical Jewish and Christian notions of 'God' are radically different from each other. When you ask anyone - Christian or agnostic in a Western nation - what people generally mean when they say the word 'god', what you may not realise is that usually a definition will be given of the 'god of Enlightenment Deism'. Now most people obviously don't label their idea of 'god' as 'Enlightenment Desism' because, (a), they have no idea what that means, and (b) they are wholly unconscious of why they believe what they believe 'God' means.

    The Western 'God' of Enlightenment-Deism

So to unpack those complicated words ('enlightment' & 'deism') for those of you who have not been trained to identify them, what your average Westerner - whether he believes in God or not - means by 'god' is that 'far-off, detatched being [who] may perhaps have been responsible in some sense for the creation of the world, but he [or 'it'] is basically remote, inaccessible and certainly not involved with the day-to-day life, let alone day-to-day pain, of the world as it now is.' That's how most people in the West view 'god', whether they believe in him or not. And so, for the most part, any thought of 'him', her' or 'it' intervening would - well, that wouldn't even be on the radar, would it, since he, she or it is (by their understanding) 'remote'.

    The Remote, Uninterested 'God'

This is what Deists (as opposed to Theists) believe - somehow everything got 'evolved' or 'created' by some unknown process and was then just left to itself. And as I hope should be obvious, such a belief is only one small step away from atheism, which maintains that everything made itself out of nothing though they'll often add additional 'steps', as we see in numerous science fiction stories that have caught the public imagination - usually that some of those earlier 'evolved' species then went ahead and 'seeded' new worlds with artifically manipulated life to give, as it were, 'evolution' a 'helping hand'. That's the theory of 'Panspermia' which you'll find undergirds the pseudo-scientific doctrine in lots of movies. That's the controlling narrative of the post-Christian West, and it has pretty much infected the whole world. And it's completely different from the narrative that's told, and relived by Yahweh's people, each year in the divine moedim, appointments, or festivals like this one we gathered to observe.

Yah'shua's Claim to Be God Upsets the Atheists

Yahweh, the true Elohim or God and Creator, set the record straight once and for all by sending Yah'shua (Jesus) in such a miraculous way that the intellectuals refuse to believe because it upsets and destroys their narrative...and so, as the British saying goes, they 'get their knickers in a twist'. And even though many acknowledge that His moral and ethical teachings are sublime, in most cases (those who have seriously bothered to read the New Testament), they are furious that He ever claimed to be 'God' - because if He is 'God' (Elohim), then their Enlightenment-Deism definition of 'god' is up the spout and ready for consignment to the scrap heap. And since it was the demonic world that contrived the Englightenment-Deism idea of 'god', we should expect enormous pushback from those sold on, and committed to, the Enlightenment-Deism 'god'. And that's why those who hold this view get angry when you challenge it, in spite of any reluctant concession to Yah'shua's (Jesus') ethical teachings (which, incidentally, socialism has borrowed and 're-set' in a world without god) that they might give you. Hence the danger of half-truths...because you can't hold onto Christ's ethical teachings and maintain an Enlightenment-Deism worldview. In the end, if you're honest (which few are), you'll either have to dump Enlightment-Deism or Christ. The two just aren't bed-fellows at all because in the end the true spirit of the demonic will always break out of the Christian ethical shell which the Deists are wearing unnaturally and dishonestly.

    Findings in a Christian Bookshop

You only have to go into a modern 'Christian' bookshop to find out the bizzare assortment of books its shelves carry. You'll find, in addition to the Bible and the occasional bona fide author, books on 'spiritual growth', 'reincarnation', 'channeling', Feng Shui, 'discovering ones personal goddess' and all sorts of otherwise enticing, seductive topics to lead the soul astray. Indeed, if you have a lifetime to analyise all of these claims, what you'll discover, in fact, is that words like 'spirituality' and 'divinity' have come to replace the word 'God', and that these words will themselves have been redefined to mean something completely different to what the Bible says they mean. Indeed many, if not, most of these bookshops will mostly be devoted to such literature with the white-covered Bibles and Prayer Books being shoved off into a corner to be purchased as Wedding or Confirmation presents more often than not. And as everyone here knows, Lutheran 'Confirmation' is a big event in secular, nominally Christian countries like Sweden, Norway and Denmark. Such books are otherwise left to gather dust. As you move down the shelves into the world of 'conspiracy' you'll come across, in some 'Christian' book shops, even more bizzare titles like 'Jesus was an Egyptian Freemason', or stuff like that, though probably not stated in such blatant terms. There are plenty of pseudo-intellectual journalists writing such trash today such as the best-selling The DaVinci Code.

    Many 'Christian' bookshops stock the
books of false prophets teaching heresy

All the Christs and Gods of False Religion

So there are plenty of 'gods' on offer in the West, never mind the millions of 'gods' in Asia and Africa. I have thus found, over the years when witnessing to practically anyone, that I must clearly define what is meant by words like 'god', otherwise people will make wrong assumptions and we'll be talking at cross-purposes. Additionally, you have got to become aware of many of the arguments for Elohim, the God of the Bible, that believers have used too, and still use, to explain to folks who 'God' and 'Christ' are - and remember, the New Age, Hinduism, and other religions have co-opted the word 'christ' too but mean something entirely different to what the Bible teaches. To them He's a 'guru', a 'wise man', an 'ascended master' (the product of numerous reincarnations of various deities in the past) or even a part of themselves which they haven't realised yet. New Age 'Christians' and others claim that once we have realised the 'christ within' that we all become christ...or god. Yes, these mortals have really deluded themselves into believing they are 'God' or 'gods'.

    The C.S.Lewis Definition

It was C.S.Lewis, an Oxford professor, who was a son of the Enlightenment himself before becoming a Christian (as was I, incidentally), came up with an approach to non-believers which is still commonly used by people like the evangelist Ray Comfort whose NKJV Evidence Bible we use in our meetings and for evangelism. The C.S.Lewis argument goes something like this:

    • 1. Yah'shua (Jesus) claimed to be divine (God);
    • 2. This means He was either mad (which the rest of His teaching clearly shows He was not), or
    • 3. He was a deliberate crook and lied (which His whole life and particularly His death tells strongly against), or
    • 3. He was telling the truth and we must just believe Him.

C.S.Lewis & Ray Comfort present the Gospel using Enlightenment-type logic

The Last Generation Understand Little or No Logic

If you have an Enlightenment mindset, well, then the logic is admittedly sound. But what if you don't? What if you're a Postmodernist for whom logic is irrelevent and the Enlightenment a huge mistake? Then that kind of approach won't work for them - they won't care because they're perceiving reality through their own peculiar anarchistic, pseudo-marxist tinted lenses. For them, and others, it's just 'absurd' for God to become human or for a man to be divine. Increasing numbers of people think that way. In one generation's time most Westerners will likely think that way and C.S.Lewis' and Ray Comfort's form of evangelism won't work any longer save for a small set of well-educated Enlightenment survivors.

Postmodernists 'see' through anarchistic, pseudo-marxist tinted lenses

    Christians in No-Man's Land

Believers more-or-less find themselves today in the no man's land between these two camps and therefore in a no-win situation unless they change strategy. Artillery fired from both sides allows both sides to tell their supporters that they won a victory and those who venture into no-man's-land, like us, tend to be shot at by both sides. The argument, 'Yah'shua (Jesus) claimed to be God and so must have been' may win some over but in the new world of mental and emotional chaos we find ourselves in, I don't believe this is going to work so well in the future. Because the equally confident assertion made by postmodernists that Yah'shua (Jesus) couldn't have been god, and therefore wasn't is, by those criteria,'sort-of' valid in a perverse way. Both approaches can lead to an eventual atheism because souls can never be won to the truth by logic alone. We're more than our brains.

    Evangelism as It Must Become

And, furthermore, you can't impose Enlightenment or Postmodernist thinking onto the Bible - you have to let the Bible speak out of its own mindset, and that means teaching people what that mindset was, and why. If we are to reach people we have to invite them to take a journey with us into a Story because no matter what you believe about Yahweh or Yah'shua (Jesus), people will always love a story...because that's the way we were naturally designed to interact with reality. That's why children love stories...and adults too. The only thing that matters, then, is whether the story is true or not. Fiction has its place in teaching morals and ethics (as is true of parables), but Christianity is more than morals and ethics. It is historical and firmly grounded in space and time. So once you start telling the True Story of Israel, then seekers will discover, by the by, whether the mytrhs they were raised to believe - religious or atheistic - were true or not.

Christianity is rooted in authentic history recorded in the Bible

    Hearing the Right Narrative

Those who arrive at the final Sukkot (Tabernacles) do so because they have not only heard the right Story or Narrative but have discovered how to walk, love and live in it too. The first half of the journey requires that we walk in this Story all by ourselves as individuals, hand-in-hand with Yah'shua (Jesus), but the second half requires us to join with other believers in community and to share the journey with them, because the journey can only be completed in fellowship with Christ's family. The story of Sukkot (Tabernacles) is the climax of that journey with our brothers and sisters in Christ.

How Ancients and Moderns View 'God'

So how do we get into the minds of Yah'shua's (Jesus') Judahite listeners in the first century AD so that we can make perfect, accurate sense of what His words meant to them and thereby - by extension - how they can make sense to us 2,000 years later? That's a long time. English didn't even exist when the New Testament was compiled. Well the obvious place to start is by asking ourselves, what did they - the Hebrews - mean by 'God'...or to use the original Hebrew word, what did they mean by 'Elohim'? Did they believe like the pagans that their god (or gods) was quite separate from our world - distant, remote, happy in their own entirely separate sphere, having little or nothing to do with ours? Or did they believe, as New Agers do, that 'God' was simply the 'divine' or 'sacred' within all of us - an aspect or dimension of our own world - in other words, being pretty much the same thing as the world? Did the ancient Hebrews, like New Agers, view 'god' as simply referring to the sense of wonder, of spiritual possibility, latent within the world as we know it?

    How People Drift into Atheism

Unfortunately, both of these views are the starting point for an eventual atheism. They're at best, half-truths, or maybe 'quarter-truths', and at worst, outright lies. People become atheist by thinking their way into atheismn (they're the 'theoretical' sort of person) or they simply decide to have nothing to do with the god or gods in whom they profess to believe (they're the 'practical' sort of person). The first type - the 'theoretical' - simply allows his 'god' to get so far away that he disappears, which is what happened to some of the thinkers of the 20th century who allowed the 'distant' god of Deism to drift off like a stray satellite that finally ceases to orbit the earth and becomes lost forever in outer space. The second type - the 'practicals' - can get so used to acknowledging the various divine 'forces' personified into various 'gods' that they become commonplace and trivial, acknowledged only in occasional superstitions. This is what happened to a great deal of ancient paganism in Greece and Rome.

    Modern Relativism

Equally, both of these views can give birth to the currently fashionable philosophy of relativism. Isn't it interesting that people can get as equally steamed up about insisting that 'all religions are just the same' as the older dogmatists did about insisting on particular formulations and interpretations whom the relativists accuse of being 'dogmatic'? And yet they are themselves equally dogmatic. The idea that relativists promote the notion that 'all dogmatists are wrong' - are equally dogmatic, equally monolithic. They want to reject others' ideas on the same basis that they have themselves become so objectionable. And the 'remote god' view encourages all of this because how can you deal with a God who is far away and unknowable?

    The False Mountain

The Islamic god is no different. Every sincere Moslem who has tried to get into a relationship with Allah has failed because the entity behind the mask doesn't want to be known, but to remain hidden! And that's true of the gods of all false religion - they're just different masks concealing the same fallen malak (angel) or one of his many sueprnatural agents. All religions are not the same path up the mountain to 'God' but all the false religions do indeed climb the same mountain leading to the masked pretender. And when they get to the top of that grey mountain- those who bother to venture that far (most are either too lazy or unprepared to make the sacrifices required by the masked renegade) - they discover only the master counterfeiter who is no god at all, but very fallible and very wicked. Even the atheists climb that same mountain albeit with anti-religious clothes on to 'distance' themselves from the operly 'religious' not realising that theirs is a religion too. Equally, the pantheism that sees 'god' as the divine or sacred aspect within the present world leads ultimately in the same direction: you see, if all religions are responding to 'the sacred' in this sense, they are simply different languages expressing the same concept.

All the false religions order their followers to climb the same grey mountain

    Tracing the Roots of Authority

What I find incredible is that there are few who embrace one or other of these cocktail of beliefs who stop to consider how remarkably arrogant and, yes, even imperialistic, these rejections of the supposedly 'arrogant and imperialistic Christians' actually are. They are, if you analyse it, saying with all the authority of the 18th century Enlightenment behind them that they have discovered the hidden truth that what all the great religions (especially Christianity and Judaism) had missed, namely, that all religions are 'really' variations on the Enlightenment's idea of 'religion'. Well, of course: if you start with that idea, it would look like that, wouldn't it? They jury's already rigged. So why should we believe the Enlightenment's arrogant claim any more than anyone else's? Just follow the 'authority' trail, as you would the 'dollar trail', and ask yourself where these modernists and postmodernists get there presumed 'authority' to say what they do from, to be thus so dismissive of Christ and Christianity? The 'liberal' Christians are no better since they trace their presumed authority from the same Enlightenment source in order to do battle with the Bible from which they simultaneosly claim some sort of religious authority...if that makes any sense really...but that, as they say, is a discussion for another time should we ever want to follow nit up.

How the Hebrews Defined Their Elohim (God)

The Israelites believed in a specific God...and we speak of that God using the Hebrew, generic titular term 'Elohim' (not a proper name) to distinguish Him from all the other gods, and then call Him by His true Name, Yahweh, to likewise distinguish him from the pretentious rabble of false gods, and then we define Him even mire precisely through Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) who revealed Himself as 'God' in Man, in a form that we could easily relate to - a human being. The Messiah carries an abbreviated form of the Divine Name - Yah[weh] - in His own (YAH'shua). The Israelites believed there was only ONE true Elohim (God) who had made the whole world and who was present to it and active within it while at the same time remaining sovereign over it and simultaneously mysteriously other than it, or separate from it. Though they stopped using it out of a superstition concocted by the Talmudic Rabbis, they originally knew Him as YAHWEH, whose Name means, 'The One Who Is', the Sovereign One.

The True Names of God in Protestant, Orthodox & Catholic English Bibles

The Testimony of the Old Testament

What Yahweh was not was a generalised sense of a sacred dimension within the world. Indeed He categorially denied that He was just a "god of forces [1]" (Dan.11:28, KJV) who could be represented or persionified as idols. Rather, they believed, that He was the maker or creator, by divine fiat, of all that exists and that He remained powerful and involved in the Creation itself without being reduced solely to the level of the Creation. Thus the whole testimony of the Tanakh or Old Testament can be summarised into two simple twin-truths:

    • 1. MONOTHEISM-and-CREATION: There was one Elohim, God or Sovereign Power who created heaven and earth, and who remained in close dynamic relation with His creation; and
    • 2. ELECTION-and-COVENANT: This Elohim (God) had called and chosen Israel to be His special people - not for their own sake but for the sake of the larger world, to be an example, a guiding beacon and the focal point of the Divine Purpose to act within the world to rescue and heal the world, and to thus bring about a New Creation.

An Historical Not a Philosophical System

These were never abstract ideas arrived at by philosophical enquiry or hypothetical speculation. It was discovered through a particular history and, importantly, expressed through telling and retelling that history. That history consisted of Abraham's family going down into Egypt, becoming enslaved and being dramatically rescued and given their own land. Those who lived through these events explained who they were and gave shape and substance to their continuing life by telling the story and dramatically re-enacting it in the various festivals as we are doing this weak at Sukkot (Tabernacles) by building this sukkah, tent or tabernacle over ourselves and symbolically 'living' in it. Whatever happened subsequently, whether oppression, suffering, exile or seeming annihilation, the family of Abraham looked back to the story of the Exodus to rediscover who their Elohim (God) was and to pray He would do for them once more those acts that had constituted them as His people in the first place.

Israel's narrative is historical & participative, not abstract & philosophical

    Yahweh's Faithfulness in Practice

Part of this Story was precisely the discovery of what Elohim's (God's) faithfulness and rescuing power would look like in practice - or to put it another way, what the strange Name of Elohim (God), YAHWEH, might actually mean (Ex.6:2-8). This Elohim (God) would thereafter be known as the Rescuer, Deliverer or Saviour (they all mean the same thing), the One who would then accompany His people through the wilderness, leading them in a pillar of cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night, and giving Him their National Constitution, His Torah or Law, His own self-expression of the way of life for His people.

The Three Ways Yahweh is Present

So the story of the Exodus included within itself the story of the two ways in which the One True Elohim or God was present and active within the world and Israel:

    • 1. The Shekinah or "Glory of Elohim (God)" (Ex.16:7) 'tabernacling' ('sukkot-ing') within the tent in the wilderness and later within the Temple in Jerusalem; and
    • 2. The Torah, the expressed will of Elohim (God) for Israel.

    In addition,

    • 3. A strong strand of the Story, was the belief that Elohim's (God's) own Ruach or Spirit had rested upon, and indwelt, Moses (and some of His brethren), enabling Him to be the leader of Yahweh's people.

Three Manifestations of Yahweh's Presence and Rescuing Love

These three manifestations of Yahweh's presence and rescuing love:

    • 1. Elohim's (God's) Presence;
    • 2. Elohim's (God's) Torah (Law, Teaching, National Constitution); and
    • 3. Elohim's (God's) Ruach (Spirit)

all of which are seen to great advantage in the Rescue/Freedom Story or the Exodus Narrative, and mark off the Israelite sense of who their Elohim (God) actually was from the theologies of the surrounding nations. These things separate the True Faith from all the false ones. The surrounding nations had their 'stories' to be sure, but how many of them were based in historical reality?

    The Word and Wisdom

The Hebrew Scriptures (Tanakh/Old Testament) tell us in many places that these ways of thinking about Elohim's (God's) presence and saving activity, both within the world and within Israel, were closely linked with two others:

    • 4. Elohim's (God's) Davar or Word; and
    • 5. Elohim's (God's) Hochma or Wisdom.

Both of these are associated with Creation and both are other ways of saying what was said through the Shekinah and Torah.

    The Controlling Narrative and Life

Together, these five ways form, not a philosophical system, but a controlling narrative/story It's a bit like a canal line down which we sail our thoughts that shape our direction in life and at the end of which is our desired destination. Through retelling and re-living this story as we do in the festivals, in reading, in singing, and in prayer, Israel was able to rekindle the sense of Yahweh's Presence. She was able to root herself again in Yahweh's rescuing actions, which form a tavnith (pattern) or matrix for His rescuing help in the present, and to pray, often in extreme circumstances, for such help to come. This gives us the hope for His final victory and Israel's own final liberation from all that enslaved her in the future.

The Narrative is like a canal shaping the direction and flow of our lives

VISION OF THE BRIDGE AND TANK

An Unpleasant Experience - an Angel Intervenes

Next time, either on the last day of Sukkot (Tabernacles) or at Shemini Atseret (the Last Great Day, which follows directly after Sukkot), we will continue with this presentation. I had intended to do so this afternoon but I was so exhausted I went to lay down and rest. As I was slowly slipping into sleep, the Enemy started pressing vile and obscene images into my mind which so shocked me that I was stunned and mesmerised. It was then a malak (angel) appeared by my bed and rested his hand firmly on my right shoulder (I could feel his weight) and the hideous pictures ceased, much to my relief, and I made ready to go to sleep again. But within seconds I was shocked into seeing an intense vision which I will share with you now to end, as I believe it to be extremely important at this late hour of the Penultimate Judgment.

    The Vision

I found myself standing on a bridge, whose other end I could not see, because it was misty in the distance, nor could I see the chasm below. I was only a few feet from the land so I was at the beginning of the bridge. Quite suddenly, this large battle tank appeared on the bridge, painted a sandy desert colour, and raced by me at top speed, evidently trying to cross the bridge before something would happen to prevent it. It had steel plates over most of its tracks as though anticipating deadly opposition. As it rushed by, I could see that its right track was out of alignment and that one of the sprocket wheels driving it was coming loose. I knew in an instant that this meant it would not be able to steer accurately and would likely lose control and crash through the barrier and off the bridge into the chasm below. I knew there was absolutely nothing I could do to stop it and that crying out I would not be heard. In a moment of fear, I considered the possibility that if it went off the bridge and caused enough damage that it might bring the bridge down with it and so endanger anyone on it, including myself. So I determined, in a flash, to turn round, and leave the bridge for the land again for my own safety, but I found myself frozen on the spot. Though I exerted every bit of energy I had, I could not so much as turn my head or move my limbs by a single degree, and then the vision suddenly closed leaving my heart beating furiously.

    The Vision's Interpretation

I consider that all the obscene pictures I was shown by the Enemy was somehow meant to deflect me from witnessing this vision, and that is one reason the malak (angel) intervened. This is not the first time I have experienced a malak (angel) resting his hand on my shoulder or even sometimes forcibly waking me up with a sudden and painful jolt as happened once in Norway. I was perplexed as to the meaning of this vision, not to mention fearful because I knew it was a very serious matter, at first. I am certain of two things now:

    • 1. At this sacred time of Sukkot (Tabernacles), Yahweh commands that we cross over entirely from the world system and into the new reality that Sukkot represents as a kind of early 'deposit' of what the real thing will be like when Messiah returns. The chasm below is unknown as is the destination on the other side of the bridge - we are required to cross over in complete faith, trusting Him, as Abraham once did when He was commanded to quit his home in Ur and head for a completely new life, with no doubt reduced circumstances, to an uncertain future in a land which he know nothing about, other than it was His destination by command of the Elohim (God) He did not yet fully know. My wanting to turn round out of fear was based in a failure to trust, and we must under no circumstancves stop trusting Him at this challenging, not to mention, dangerous time of attempted mass genocide at the hands of the élites. Yet Yahweh would not permit me to turn. That's the first point.

    • 2. The second point concerns the tank and what it attempted to do, but will fail, as I have been prophesying now for years, because the Enemy thinks his hour, as described in Daniel 11:40-12:13, is now. It isn't. The Enemy knows he will have a free hand during the last 3½ years of the Great Tribulation but this is not - repeat - not that time. So what was he doing, as represented by the tank moving at break-neck speed? In the general sense, which is ongoing, to quote the words of Yah'shua (Jesus): "...from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force" (Matt.11:12, NKJV) if they can, but that has been true for the last 2,000 years. Just consider all the persecution of Christians worldwide today, mostly in Moslem-held areas. No, this is a specific event and it has to do with the equipping of the Remnant in the Last Exodus, and the Enemy means to try and prevent the Remnant from assembling 'on the other side', his plan being to take it by force.

We are called, like Abraham, to leave the old world behind for the new

The Most Important Sukkot in 2,000 Years?

In my view, this is the probably one of the most important Sukkots (Tabernacles') that has ever been celebrated in 2,000 years and what Yahweh intends to accomplish during it cannot be prevented. The Enemy will plunge into the abyss but he will not destroy the bridge or those gathered on the other side. He is acting before his time, trying to hijack biblical prophecy and fulfil it in such a way as to turn the tables and make Yahweh appear to be a liar to millions of Bible-believers. He shall not but will be injured or destroyed in the attempt. He may continue to harrass Yahweh's people but He will not prevent this part of history unfolding according to Elohim's (God's) plan.

Do Not Be Dismayed by World Events

That is the message I leave with you today on this the first day of Sukkot (Tabernacles) 2021. So do not be dismayed. We are under supernatural care even if we are under tremendous pressure. It doesn't necessarily mean we won't suffer but it does mean there are limits to what the Enemy can do if he does not wish to be dashed into pieces or burnt to a cinder. Unfortunately millions of Evangelicals and Messianics have also been fooled into believing that certain biblical prophecies are being fulfilled and it is quite likely that the Enemy has been duped by them and their false prophets as they themselves have been deceived. Ironic.

    Conclusion

Health-permitting, I plan to have a short message each day this week [2] though there will not necessarily be any formal assemblies unless I receive a word which must be shared viva voce - live. When we continue and conclude this presentation next time, we will look at the nevi'im (prophets) and then the life of Yah'shua (Jesus) Himself so that we can properly see how this Divine Narrative works and how we are supposed to move with its current. Don't panic and go chasing after rogue 'tanks' or make any rash decisions. We have assembled for a preview of the Marriage Feast of the Lamb. Be still, enjoy the Feast, but be alert nonetheless for we must act on instructrions as soon as we get them.

"'Let us be glad and rejoice and give Him glory, for the marriage of the Lamb has come, and His wife has made herself ready.' And to her it was granted to be arrayed in fine linen, clean and bright, for the fine linen is the righteous acts of the qodeshim (saints, set-apart ones). Then he said to me, 'Write: 'Blessed are those who are called to the marriage supper of the Lamb!''" (Rev.19:7-9, NKJV). Amen

    Endnotes

[1] More accurately translated as "fortresses" or "citadel" (NEB) and is so rendered in nearly all other versions. The RSTNE, which is essentially an unprofessional messianic revision of the KJV, renders this "force" and claims it is pointing to Satan, which is clearly not the case. The king devoting himself to this 'god' was Antiochus V whose success lay in his ability to invest and destroy or capture fortress-cities resisting his power thus giving him victory after victory. He is a type of the final Anti-Messiah/Antichrist whose days are quite likely described in Daniel 11:40ff.
