If you have never read Thomas à Kempis' book, Of the Imitation of Christ, I hope I can persuade you to buy a copy and to keep it nearby. Or you can download a copy from the internet.

This morning, as I awoke, I started thinking about Thomas' book when suddenly a vision opened up to me. I saw a very fine, thin gold chain around the neck of a woman, or to be exact, three of four of them, one under the other, linked together by fine threads of gold. Spaced equidistantly on each of the chains were lots and lots of diamonds - too many to number. The result was a dazzling display of beauty. It was then I realised how precious and inspired those words he penned were, and are. Messianic Evangelicals unhestitatingly recommend the work of this great German Catholic (known as Thomas von Kempen in German).

It wasn't until some hours later that I remembered Yahweh had actually given me a revelation about both the book and the author in 1989, some 28 years ago. Let me share it with you:

"It is My will that the qodeshim (saints, set-apart ones) of the New Covenant learn from the examples of such Catholic talmidim (disciples) as Thomas à Kempis (1380-1471); And behold, if all Catholics lived according to the teachings and precepts of this man, their light would be greater than yours, for he was a humble man and full of ahavah (love) for those around him. Let the qodeshim (saints, set-apart ones) therefore study the book, The Imitation of Christ, for there are many keys of emet (truth) therein that will lead to a great inner sanctification of the soul. Behold, My servant Thomas, and others like him, have gone unto their reward, and even now are ministers of Light. Therefore cleave unto the truths that I revealed unto him and ye shall be greatly blessed" (Olive Branch 172:6-10)
