Black September Message 2
Shabbat shalom mishpachah! This is the last sabbath of the current 6th month and I hope you are all aware that in two days' time it is Rosh Chodesh, a high shabbat AND the annual feast of YOM TERUAH known both as the 'Day of Trumpets' and the 'Day of Shouting'. It is the only day in the sacred calendar that three divine moedim (appointments) occur at the same time and the reason for that is it is the day that the nevi'im (prophets) announce that the Judge of this world, Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ), has returned to depose the ruler of this world to establish His Millennial Kingdom.
The Three-Fold Announcement of Judgment at Yom haKippurim
I wish I could tell you that in two days' time Yah'shua (Jesus) is physically returning as the triumphant, conquering King. At some year on the first day of the seventh month He will return, during the time of the last generation. That does not, however, mean that the coming Yom Teruah is insignificant because it absolutely is not. This year - on the first day of the seventh month in His creation calendar - in two days' time - THE JUDGE OF THE UNIVERSE AND OF THIS WORLD IS COMING TO ANNOUNCE THE PASSING OF JUDGMENT ON THIS PENULTIMATE GENERATION AT YOM HA-KIPPURIM ON 23 SEPTEMBER 2015. How He will do this, and how long it will take for the judgment to be executed, whether it is to be sudden, protracted or both, I cannot say, for I believe it to be an unfolding process of different yet related events. My personal understanding at this time is that this gobal judgment - which may I remind you is NOT the 'Final Judgment' or 'Day of Yahweh' (Day of the LORD) that Scripture Speaks of but A Day of Yahweh) - will be executed over a period of about four months with the Judgment of the USA taking place in 28 days' time, to be followed, one presumes by all the other nations according to the righteousness or iniquity of their citizens.
Where Will You Find Yourself at This Judgment?
There will be, and is, a day of judgment for every soul and it will likely creep up on you unawares if you are not prepared. Once again, so that there is NO misunderstanding, this is not THE Final Judgment that establishes whether you are heaven- or hell-bound, though for those who die it may well do so. Rather it has to do with which camp you will find yourself in as the remaining years of this dispensation unfold. Specifically - for believers at least - it is the establishment of the list of names of the Remnant of those who have been called at this time.
Preparing Well in Advance - The Wood Pile
Yesterday I was walking through my woodshed and looking at the neatly stacked logs. It was a warm and sunny autumn day and all seemed well. Then I started to fast-forward in my mind to the coming winter months, thinking how easy it would have been not to have prepared this wood and not to have been at all concerned about the immediate future. In the summer, winter seems far, far away. In the autumn, if it's a warm one, maybe a tiny bit closer, but still remote. But as the colder and wtter weather approaches one is reminded that that wood store will soon be essential. Indeed, in Sweden, they do their logging in the spring, right after the winter thaw, so that the wood has the whole summer exposed to wind and sun in which to dry.
Believers are Investors in the Future
When everything seems well with the world, when you have all you need for the moment, it requires will-power and effort to plan forwards. For Swedes preparing wood for winter has become habitual - it isn't something they have to wrestle over because it has been ingrained into them for generations. For their ancestors, before the advent of technology, it was a matter of life and death. So as I stool looking at this wood, I thought to myself, how grateful we will be to have this wood should we have long electricity blackouts or if we don't have the money to pay for any electricity, and will have to rely on the wood we have. I saw it is a potent type of preparedness. Yet in this socialistic crade-to-grave provision by government, this kind of spirit of preparedness has been well and truly programmed out of the consciousness of city folk. Country people, who still liver much simpler, know better. Yahweh's people must always be prophetic and forward-looking, considering the immediate and distant future, in the same way that the repentant soul doing works of righteousness knows he is storing up blessings for himself in the quite possibly distant eternities. We must live for the present, learn from the past, and prepare for the future. We are both short-term seasonal as well as long-term eternal investors. That is something we need to think about more often.
The Sudden Realisation Too Late
September has come upon us all too quickly. It seems only the other day when one or two years ago we set out to make earnest preparations for this dangerous time. An awful lot of work, long-term thinking and sacrifice has gone into doing this, at least for my family, and I know for many of yours. Only now are the sceptics, on the very edge of calamity, beginning to wonder whether we were right after all and are starting to listen but even so most seem paralysed by inaction, trusting, like pagans, in 'fate', that Yahweh will somehow conveniently 'forget' their neglectfulness and provide for them anyway even though they have done nothing and STILL aren't stirring as they should. He does not look kindly when we willfully disregard His instructions and mitzvot (commandments), when we expect Him unilaterally to do everything for us when we have deliberately ignored and disobeyed Him. These are like those men and women who had mocked Noah in the days of the construction of the Ark and scorned his prophetic warnings about worldwide destruction by flood waters. But as the sky darkened and the first spots of rain came, the awful realisation dawned on them that Noah had been right all along. As the drops turned to drizzle, and the drizzle to rain, the rain into a downpour, and the downpour into a raging torrent, the panic mounted and deep within they knew they were doomed. Yet they pounded on that ark crying out aloud, demanding, as faithhless and unrighteous ones, a free ticket in. Horror and anger must have mingled as they realised no door would be opening for them on that rising ark.
A Glimpse into the Final Judgment
We are so close now to the time I have been warning you of for so many years that I am already grieving in anticipation of those who refused to listen, or obey, who will come pounding on my gate, and on the gates and doors of others who have prepared. And yet the malakim (angels) will block them. We have seen this in visions and prophetic dreams. This MLT ark has, in fact, been afloat now for several months, though others may be in later stages of preparedness. The manifest, or list of passengers, was determined by Yahweh at the end of the first messianic count on 18 April 2015, on the last day of Aviv, even though He Himself knew, before we were even born, who would choose what. The time inbetween has been for those who are not on that list to discover where they really are - on the ark or not, and for them to understand that Yahweh is just and fair, that they were entirelty responsible for their own disregard of His Davar (Word) and their own neglect; they will know for sure whether they are in the Sanctuary or still in the Courtyard. And they will be given plenty of signs to leave them in no doubt. And they will get an awful glimpse of what the Final Judgment will be like for those who are disobedient and faithless.
The Anarchy in a Swedish Town
That, however, is now all history, at least for this ark. Here in Europe chaos is errupting with waves of bona fide as well as opportunist refugees flooding into Europe causing a humanitarian crisis. They are pouring here into Sweden. Yesterday I was talking to a friend who lives in a Swedish town on the west side of Lake Vänern who was telling me that there is chaos there. There is an accute housing shortage now, flats (apartments) and houses for rent are almost non-existent (there were only four on the market) and rental prices have jumped by 150%. Young Swedes can't find homes and are continuing to live in their parents' houses because it's the only alternative to the streets. And those of you who know Sweden will also know that most Swedish houses are very small so as to be economical for heating in the winter. The streets in this once quiet and orderly town have become dangerous almost overnight.
You have No Idea What is Coming
But what will that town be like tomorrow when government handouts end and the food stores are emptied? What will those hapless people be like, along with their starving hosts, when the food runs out, and when their is no shelter in winter, when they cannot afford to rent anymore, and when government benefits dry up as the economy implodes? Large bands of desperate, starving, homeless and very angry people, armed with whatever weapons they can lay their hands on, will be roaming and then rampaging. Anarchy will grip the cities and towns in once prosperous and safe urbanised areas. Brethren and sisters, the comfortable and rich West has no idea what is coming! The horrors they have been watching on their TV's and PC's in lands far away will suddenly be in their back yard and in their living room. Worse, compared to those of you in the USA, is the fact that here in Sweden almost all the citizenty will be unarmed - only the authorities and criminals will have weapons, and the authorities will lose control. We were disarmed by the politically correct élites decades ago. It will be every man for himself.
You Need the Almighty
So what shall the faithful remnant do? What should anyone do? Firstly, you need the Almighty on your side, guiding you and preparing you mentually, emotionally, spiritually and physically. Secondly, you need the Deliverer - the Saviour - in your lives, the Master Yah'shua (Jesus) who alone is the the way to the Almighty, and who declared most emphatically:
Other religions cannot save you. Only a Person can, Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ).
"No one comes to the Father except through Me" (John 14:6, NIV).
A Revelation in the Lord's Prayer
In 1878 Charles Spurgeon preached an masterly sermon entitled, Lead Us Not Into Temptation to a crowded congregation at the Metropolitan Tabernacle, Newington in which he took the Lord's or Master's Prayer to show us the seven facets of our identity in Messiah that belong to the real talmid (disciple). Every believer is:
Prayer Like a Ladder
- 1. A child away from home ("Our Father which art in heaven");
- 2. A worshipper ("Hallowed be Thy Name [Yahweh]");
- 3. A subject ("Thy Kingdom come");
- 4. A servant ("Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven");
- 5. A beggar ("Give us this day our daily bread");
- 6. A sinner ("Forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors"); and
- 7. A sinner in danger of being a greater sinner still ("And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil").
We need prayer like we need air and it is this I want to talk about now. For our prayer life to be complete - for the soul to gain a proper perspective of its relationship to the Most High - there are seven important things we need to become clearly conscious of. And I offer this as part of our very necessary and urgent preparedness program so that we can meet the tribulation that is soon to burst upon those of us on whom it has not already burst as it has in many lands, a tribulation most Westerners refuse to believe will ever come to their homes. The tavnith or pattern of the Master's or Lord's prayer is presented much as a ladder, beginning at the top with the understanding that we are our Heavenly Father's treasured child far from home, and ending with the realisation that we are not only a sinner who has messed things up but that we are sinner in very real danger of becoming a greater sinner still. Only then can we reclimb the latter, undergoing the cleansing process of teshuvah (repentance), until we are at the top again resting comfortably and securely in our Father's arms.
Elohim is Love, Man is a Sinner
The most important revelation you will ever have, after "Elohim (God) is ahavah (love)" (Jn.4:8.16) is that you are a sinner in constant danger of becoming a greater sinner still and in desperate need of a Saviour. Whether you are a young believer or an older one with much life experience behind you, this still remains a truism. No one can ever be so confident or cocky as to believe they have stopped sinning and can let their guard down. As we grow maturer in the emunah (faith), habitual sinning will, I hope, have ceased - nevertheless the flesh will always be there to ensnare us if we unwisely listen or yield to its enticings.
The Nature nof the Prayer Ladder
Until you have reached the realisation that you are a sinner in danger of being a greater sinner still, you will never be able to climb that ladder again and find your way home to the Father. Obviously, simply making an intellectual declaration is not enough. The one who is only playing at repentance begs for nothing because he is too proud and self-sufficient. He takes no pleasure in being a servant but rather seeks to be served. He doesn't want to be subject to any King or Kingdom Rules (Torah) but would rather follow his own will and rules. And because he does not want humble himself to beg, serve or be subject, there is no true spirit of worship in him either so he either doesn't miss his heavenly home to occupy himself with seeking it out but is content with the one he has on earth. This is why we must descend and ascend the ladder that is the Master's Prayer until its substance is imprinted on our hearts and we can effortlessly move from one rung to the next in acknowledgement of our simultaneously privileged and humble station as His beloved child and a dependent begger.
Be On Guard Always
The more we practice this prayer in its spiritual substance and heart, the more horrified we will be by the prospect of sinning and the more inclined, therefore, to purse the Divine Shepherd all the more ardently. When prayer life dries up it is because we have stumbled at one or more rungs of that ladder. Therefore we must be as watchful in our daily prayer as we must be watchful in the coming tribulation. The Master Himself said:
Or as other versions render it, "Be/keep [on the]/stay alert!" (HCSB, NASU, CJB/JNT, JBP), "Be vigilant" (AENT, HRV), "Keep watch" (KNT/Wright), "Keep/stay awake" (NRSV, NEB, JB), or "be shomer" - 'be aware', 'be on guard', 'be watchful' ... 'be a watchman' (OJB, RSTNE).
"What I say to you, I say to all: Watch!" (Mark 13:37, NKJV, ISRV, KJV, NASB, NIV, NAB, CLNT, Tynd.).
Death For Those Who Fall Asleep
I cannot emphasise the importance of this passage enough for this time and the time ahead. A soldier on guard does not fall asleep on his watch unless he is prepared to forfeit his life. A Roman soldier on guard would be executed for sleeping at his post. The believer, in his turn, risks his life if he is not spiritually alert at all times. On the one or two occasions I have been off guard I have paid dearly. Now I am far more serious! All believers are supposed to be watchmen and watchwomen, especially the heads of households - the cohenim (priests) in their temple-homes.
Do Not Be at Ease
I fear there are still far too many of you taking life in your stride, being far too much at ease, as though all is well with the world and nothing is going to change. That is not to say anyone should be anxious, fearful or fretful either, which is to go to the other extreme and lose your shalom (peace). There is no fear in love. But neither is love negligent and careless.
Brethren and sisters, if you are awake, remain awake. If you are asleep, wake up fast. For judgment comes suddenly, and with it great tribulation to shake and shock the lazy soul.
"Awake, awake! Rise up..., you who have drunk from the hand of Yahweh the cup of His wrath, you who have drained to its dregs the goblet that makes men stagger" (Isa.51:17, NIV).
"Behold, I (Yah'shua/Jesus) come like a thief! Blessed is he who stays awake and keeps his clothes with him , so that he may not go naked and be shamefully exposed" (Rev.16:15, NIV).
 The background to this is as follows: if a cohen (priest) was found sleeping on duty in the temple, he would be stripped bare, his clothes piled up and burned and he would be sent home in shame naked. The same fate will be met by the New Covenant believer, who is a royal cohen (priest) after the Order of Melchizedek (1 Pet.2:9) and whose temple is his physical body, if he (or she) is found spiritually sleeping.
