The Sevenfold Way of Tavnith

Important Questions About Repentance
So where are you in your teshuvah (repentance) at this half-way mark before Yom haKippurim? What are you concretely doing? Have you prayerfully examined issues in your life and then translated this examination into concrete action as we spoke about two days ago? Do you do this every day of your life, as a true talmid (disciple) ought, do you only do this during the Teshuvah season in the autumn/fall, or is this something you only do occasionally according to the mood you happen to be in on a particular day, or do you never do this?
Removing the Chametz of Sin is Repentance
We are supposed to learn how to make teshuvah (repent) from Day #2 of our spiritual walk as represented by Chag haMatzah which is Yahweh's mitzvah (commandment) to get sin out of our lives as symbolised by the deliberate removal of all chametz (yeast) and organically leavened products out of our house over a seven-day period that represents our whole life. You can't remove sin from your life without making teshuvah (repenting) and so the very clear message of Scripture is that this is supposed to be a daily activity.
Signs That the Flesh Rules
Obviously the fleshy, carnal or Adamic nature (which is Satan's own lawless nature) hates to make teshuvah (repent) which is why the refusal to repent on our part is a clear signal and sign that the flesh is ruling when it ought to be the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit).
Days of the Luni-Solar Week and the Festivals
To bring some sort of system into daily teshuvah (repentance) I often recommend that we devote specific days of the week to focussing on general categories of sins in addition to the concrete categories of virtue the Ruach (Spirit) especially brings up and commands us to deal with. One of the revelations we have received in this ministry is that each of the seven days of the luni-solar month corresponds to one of the annual festivals [1] and that it is therefore desirable and profitable to get into the habit and rhythm of divine tavnith in not just addressing categories of sin but also promoting the categories of righteousness. The table below shows the relationship between the days of the week and the annual festivals:

The Seven Counterfeit Hills of the Whore
You may recall that the Whore of Babylon or 'Woman of Mystery' sits on "seven hills", or places of demonic authority, that are the antithesis of the seven annual festivals (Rev.17:6-11, NIV) and the respective Ruachot haQodesh who preside over them according to the will of the Father. These seven demonic principalties or powers which the Whore draws upon in her seduction of the world, represent the seven general categories of sin. The purpose of the demonic is to invert, distort and confuse the spiritual meaning of what lies behind each of the annual seven festivals:
The Seven Tavnith Principles
The seven [2] tavnith principles are:
- 1. Choosing Messiah;
- 2. Systematically removing sin (private Torah-obedience);
- 3. Full immersion in (total surrender to) Messiah leading to new birth;
- 4. Corporate covenant to obey the Torah mitzvot (commandments) as a nation;
- 5. Witnessing in triumphant simcha (joy) the resurrection, second coming of Messiah and Judgment;
- 6. Final death to self; and
- 7. Total overcoming in Messiah.
Conclusion
Meditating daily on each area ince a week quickly deeps your appreciation of the wisdom and ahavah (love) of Yahweh and encourages teshuvah (repentance). Each area is huge and before long you will become a profound student of Torah and deepen your relationship with Yahweh!
