"Now the serpent was more cunning than any beast of the field which Yahweh-Elohim had made. And he said to the woman (Eve), '{Moreover ('aph, 'yea')} has Elohim (God) indeed (kiy) said...'" (Gen.3:1, NKJV/KJV).

Today's passage is a warning to be very careful who we listen to and what we listen to. It is assumed by most believers that the first sin ever committed by mankind was eating the forbidden fruit offererd by the serpent to Eve. It wasn't. The first sin ever committed by a human being was listening to, and then believing, an adversary both of Yahweh and of mankind. Admittedly, in a world where there are so many false voices competing for attention, in a world where there are so many lies that it's sometimes hard to find a grain of emet (truth) amongst them, this can become really hard. And this is why the Scriptures are of paramount importance. Without the sure anchor they provide, we are going to be swept away and drowned in false words, feelings. motivations and intentions.

I was curious when I looked at today's passage to see how English translators arbitrarily drop words. The New King James Version (NKJV), which I use extensively (with modifications) drops the Hebrew word 'aph, which the King James Version (KJV) translates "Yea", as in "Yea, hath God said..." (Gen 3:1, KJV). The KJV in its turn drops the Hebrew word kiy, which the NKJV translates "indeed", as in "Has God indeed said..." (Gen.3:1, NKJV). Properly translated, the passage should read:

"Moreover, has Elohim indeed/really said..."

The first thing we notice about them in Hebrew is that they are side by side, and not separated as in English. They are the very first words uttered by the devil to our kind so mark them well. The text literally reads:

"'Aph kiy Elohim said..."

We are admonished in scripture to discern the spirits (1 Cor.12:10; Phil.1:9; Heb.5:11) - to understand what is behind the words that are being told to us:

"Test all things; hold fast what is tov (good)" (1 Thess.5:21, NKJV).

So many of the problems that believers have come from their not having found the answer to the question as to whether the Bible is reliable or not. One of the chief attacks of the enemy is the trustworthiness of the Bible. Part of the problem is that there is no perfect translation and so the adversary works on attacking biblical integrity based on faulty translations. You might complain saying that you are not a linguist or a Bible scholar. You might say that you can never know the truthfulness of the Bible's integrity without being an expert in classical Hebrew and koiné Greek. That isn't true for many reasons. First you can test the promises of the Scriptures by living them in emunah (faith). Second, the very simple reason that there are a lot of people who can read classical Hebrew and koiné Greek who are unsaved and sometimes militantly hostile to the Besorah (Gospel) is proof that scholarship is not the main thing: it's a tool, and accessory, but it can never replace emunah (faith). And whilst I learned some classical Hebrew at Oxford and a smattering of koiné Greek when I was at school, I do not know these languages. I know Latin better than Hebrew and Greek because I learned that for years. I have, however, made an effort to know some Hebrew and Greek (I focus mainly on Hebrew as it's the main language of biblical revelation) in order to check out controversial passages of Scripture. I have learned a little at a time and tried to integrate it in my writings. So, no, I am not a linguist, but I have tried to hard to learn what I could to enhance what the Ruach (Spirit) has taught my mind and lev (heart). Moreover, the reason I splatter Hebrew words into my writings is not to show off what I know but rather to emphasise what I am talking about - so when I speak of ahavah, I am speaking of self-less agapé love rather than erotic, fraternal, friendship, or other forms of love. And when I speak of lev (heart) I am speaking of both thoughts and feelings, because that what a Hebrew lev is. Thus I use Hebrew terminology a lot to train my listeners and readers to think and experience as the ancients did.

Today's prophetic word came in a rather unusual way, actually. When i got up this morning I had no idea what Yahweh wanted me to share with you this sabbath. I picked up a Christian magazine that arrived yesterday and started reading an analysis of the 2012 scare stories about the end of the world. I discovered that modern Mayans do not believe that the world will end on 21 December 2012 but that like nearly all New Agers, they believe the world will dramatically change on that day inaugurating a kind of 'Occultic Millennium'. So they are not expecting a world catastrophe.

The ancient Mayans, who invented the calendar ending on 21 December 2012, were satanists of the worst dye - they offered human sacrifices, ripping out the beating hearts of children and dedicating them to their demon-gods. Modern occultists have taken this Mayan prophecy and turned it into some marvelous moment of global enlightenment, forgetting the source, but it's all the same devilish spirit. The Mayan prophecy is both 'aph and kiy - it questions the Absolute Biblical Emet (Truth) of the Eternal Creator, Yahweh-Elohim and offers a demonic counterfeit. The same attitude that caused the Serpent to utter the words 'Aph kiy is causing occultists and psychics like David Wilcock to make these predictions about huge changes at the end of 2012. Satan plays all sides of the religious mix, panicking people into believing the world is going to be destroyed by asteroids, giant meteors, rogue planets and dwarf stars on the one hand, and persuading the rest that a New Age of Enlightenment is is on their doorstep. After the New Age propaganda flop of the Year 2000 marking the supposed beginning of the new era of global peace called the 'Dawn of Aquarius' (getting rid of the Christian 'Age of Pisces), coupled with the scare that all the computers would crash on 1 January 2000 caused by the Y2K bug, leading to the end of civilization as we know it, we have been bombarded with new sets of good cop/bad cop lies. Now we have been persuaded to focus on 2012 as we were persuaded to focus on Y2K. And to make this lie credible, the enemy has used depraved power-greedy men to use HAARP weapons to trigger tsunamis and earthquakes, blow up or damage nuclear power plants like Fukushima, deliberately cause massive ecological disasters such as the BP oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, get us all hyped up about man-made global warming to the point we now believe carbon dioxide is some terrible poison when it's the staff of life on earth, sell us on destructive psychotropic drugs, destroy our food with GMOs and chemical poisons, stage false terrorist attacks, initiate wars, and so on and so on.

So how did I come to be talking about today's topic? Because in this magazine I read about the origin of the Planet X or Nibiru scare which I had never heard of before. And I was shocked. This whole hype about a disaster planet called Nibiru was channeled through a psychic medium called Nancy Lieder, who was supposedly in contact with altruistic aliens from the planet Zeto [1]. Apparently, when Nancy was 9, a bright light from the sky crashed into a nearby field where she lived while her parents were out shopping. When Nancy went out to investigate, she saw a spacecraft hovering above the ground. When the door of the UFO opened, she fainted, and when she woke up strange beings were hovering around her. As she tried to speak, one of the 'Zetons' told her to lie still while a large mechanical arm with a small device at the end of it was inserted into her head. As it was inserted, she became unconscious again. When she awoke, she was being placed into her bed by one of the 'aliens'. She was told not to be afraid, that she would be their spokesperson on earth. She was told that the device in her head was to allow them to communicate with her.

Who can say whether this was a literal nefilim abduction or just something planted in her head? In either eventuality, or even some other, it's not from Yahweh but a demonic scam. I am not saying that there isn't a planet or dwarf star called Nibiru but with all the 2012 hype and so much misinformation on the net, it's hard to know what's true and what isn't. I have spent a lot of time sifting through articles and videos on this subject, much of which claims governments are hushing Nibiru up so as not to cause global panic. That might or might not be true. The scientific evidence is pretty weak and even those 'gaps' in Google star maps may be hoaxes themselves, designed to get people more worked up in conspiracy speculations.

We will all be here after 21 December, that I am certain about, and what we need to do it get more focussed on Yahweh and less on all the scare-mongering. There will always be cosmic bodies threatening us - why, two asteroids the size of a small house and an aircraft carrier narrowly passed us by the other day - however, it is Yahweh who is in control. Satan has filled our world with oceans of lies - we have to watch out for his 'Aph Kiy's and say NO!
