Want to Meet Yahweh?
Then You Must Give Him a Fair Hearing
Continued from Part 2
We have learned that Yahweh can only be approached on His own terms and that we have to go through an intermediary, His Son Yah'shua (Jesus). There are simply no short-cuts to meeting God. The process is not, however, complicated, but the route is pretty hard to find unless you follow instructions exactly.
Let me say this off the bat before we move on - the world has never known a true follower of Messiah who has honestly made experiment of Messiah's true salvation and has been disappointed. This meeting is guaranteed if you follow the simple instructions, and the result of this meeting is always spectacular. It's expensive in terms of pride, but well worth it.
All who have authentically trusted the Son have found every word true on which He caused them to hope. No one who has honestly tried Him as Deliverer, Saviour, Helper and Friend in substance, and not just in word, has ever become His enemy. Those who oppose Messiah are those who know nothing about Him by experience. They may know a lot about Him - hearsay, criticism - but don't actually know Him person-to-Person. They judge Him before they hear Him.
Is this just? Is it right to condemn any man if we really have no knowledge of the facts alleged against Him? would it be right to condemn a book we had never read, or of which we had no actual knowledge?
Surely no one has any right to be an enemy of Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) without having honestly and conscientiously examined His claims and them proved them untrue and unworthy of confidence. No one should put away the Messiah until he find something better than the Messiah - something that will do more for him, that will bring him better help in trouble, a better salvation in his lost condition, that will make a better man of him, lifting him up to nobler heights of holiness and beauty.
A work that became pivotal in my examination of the claims of the Bible was the book by Sir Norman Anderson, OBE, QC, LLD, FBA, Professor of Oriental Laws and Director of the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies in the University of London Jesus Christ: The Witness of History (Inter-Varsity Press, Leicester, England & Downer's Grove, Illinois, USA: 1985). If you are struggling to discover who Yah'shua (Jesus) really was, and the evidence presented in the Bible, then I highly recommend this book by a distinguished British lawyer and academic.
