Do What You Know to Do
Yahweh Will Take Care of All the Rest
"The secret things belong to Yahweh our Elohim (God), but those things which are revealed belong to us and to our children forever, that we may do all the words of this Torah (Law)" (Deut.29:29, NKJV).
I have to admit that I feel a certain satisfaction today even if I know that the battle of overcoming continues full force. Yahweh knows everything, as is undisputed, but I sometimes wonder if we are taking a fraction of the advantage of the things which He has revealed of His secrets. And as it is written in today's passage, to whom the Torah is revealed belong the blessings who have embraced Torah and are sharing it with our children.
We are a covenant people and if we are obedient we are promised prosperity in the good things of life that matter (Dt.29:9). If we are not, we know what to expect (Dt.29:18-27) and believe you me the consequences are more frightening than the most terrifying horror movie you may have seen because it means we will be uprooted and cast into another place where we don't want to be (Dt.29:28).
Certain things are known only to Yahweh and are deliberately veiled from us. But what is revealed by Him, He expects us to obey. Consequently, what He has revealed consists of the great principle of life: we must do what we know to do. We don't know everything but we can at least act on what we do know to be emet (truth). The hidden things are not our responsibility. However, even these "work together for good to those who love Elohim (God), to those who are the called according to His purpose" (Rom.8:28, NKJV).
The fullness of my calling may not be known to you or even to my family but I must press on notwithstanding and do what Yahweh has told me to do. You must do no less. Let us obey, doing what we know to do, and leave the results to Him.
