"For a man indeed ought not to cover his head, since he is the image and glory of Elohim (God); but woman is the glory of man. For man is not from woman, but woman from man. Nor was man created for the woman, but woman for the man. For this reason the woman ought to have a symbol of authority on her head, because of the angels. Nevertheless, neither is man independent of woman, nor woman independent of man, in the Master (Lord). For as woman came from man, even so man also comes through woman; but all things are from Elohim (God)" (1 Cor.11:7-12, NKJV).

One thing that men need to be especially careful about in their legitimate revolt against modern feminism is not to go and suppress or kill off their female side, for it was this that led to the abuses of ultra-patriarchy in the first place, which in turn spawned a feminist revolt. A man truly in Messiah (Christ) should not only be mentually, emotionally and spiritually masculine, with bold, aggressive intelligence, a ruling and covering heart, and a pioneering spirit that seeks to win new territory and conquer all opponents - and not only should he compound this with a wise degree of credulity and scepticism that is willing to abandon well-trodden ground for the pioneer's virgin territory - but, as Vernon Sproxton points out, he should also have a "strongly developed feminine side which can only be described as skin stretched over tenderness". For when such masculine and feminine traits co-exist they make an inner dialectic which produces creative vitality. Remove the feminine side and you create a potentially destructive brute.

I realise that many Messianics and not a few men who are (rightly) reclaiming their masculinity from the prison-house of feminism may balk at this. I have known many men who, oppressed and mentually, emotionally and spiritually castrated and emasculated by unsubmissive, domineering, aggressive and bullying wives, have swung in the opposite direction in a bid to feel masculine again. I understand them. And, yes, they do absolutely have to retake that stolen territory and authority given them by the Creator, and never yield it back again - ever. But at the same time they must never allow their hearts to grow cold and insensitive in order to protect themselves from further abuse while they mature into their new-found manhood, hard though that might be. Yahweh gave them an X sex-chromosome and a female side for a reason. That female nature is also given to them so that they can submit to Messiah as a metaphorical 'wife' too, for all men have a natural Heavenly Head and are required to be symbolically 'female' to that Head. It is on that basis - that they will submit to Elohim - that they are given toqef or authority over their wives. It is only in rightly submitting to Yahweh that they acquire the necessary discipline and and feminine sensitivity to allow they to rule their women in righteousness. The annals of history are, alas, littered with the stories of men who never submitted to anyone or anything other than their own lust for power and became tyrants and oppressors. The true man is submitted to Elohim (God) - that is (in Arabic) a 'muslim' ('one submitted to God'), as opposed (of course) a 'Muslim' (who is submitted to a false deity and a false religion). Submission (X) is therefore the spiritual key to a man's rulership (Y), and though it is given to him by default by the Creator in the natural realm, he must learn to use it with hochmah (wisdom) and ahavah (love) in all emet (truth) by emunah (faith) in Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) in order to grow into the image of divine maleness which are the Father and the Son.

At this point is is very necessary to point out that Yahweh did not give women a recessive Y-chromosome (for that would be a contradiction and misnomer) - a woman has no naturally inherited male nature (though I once believed she did) and that any attempt to find or make one will both be futile and damaging. Woman was not designed to lead and where she has been forced into leadership it is either because she has been abandoned by her head (husband) or because of some other unavoidable circumstance caused by the inequity and wickedness of the world. In this case she has no natural headship function to fall back on - either she must fall back on Christ (to equip her in righteousness and accoprding to proper tavnith or pattern) or a demonic power to (to give the illusion of maleness but which ends up corrupting and destroying her). In either eventuality she can but do what is natural to her, and that is to submit - to either Yahweh or Satan - or place herself in the protective custody of a righteous male covering, spiritual or literal, as a daughter. Women can lead or manage their own lives when they have to, but if they attempt to do it alone - as feminism teaches - then they just end up in a spiral of spiritual self-destruction.

So can a woman legitimately ever acquire a parallel male nature? Absolutely - but only temporarily from her father or other male guardian (when unmarried) or permanently from her husband (when married according to Torah). A wife 'acquires' the Y-chromosome viâ her husband, and therefore such authority as her husband should designate to her, upon submitting to him and entering into echad union with him. The absence of a Y-chromosome in her genome is reflected in spiritual tavnith by her having no inherent authority or toqef. A wife becomes spiritually 'male' (in leadership positions) when she has first become female to her husband, for thereafter her husband may designate to her, as her head, such 'male' rôles as the manager of his home, the authority over his children in his physical absence, as a witness, teacher, minister, or whatever the Ruach (Spirit) directs him to do. This is the identical tavnith or pattern required of a man in his own sphere of toqef (authority) and activity. In this respect, the spiritual requirements for man and women are the exactly same, but are exercised in different spheres.

The Y-authority or toqef belongs by inherent right, which is by divine appointment, to the Bridegroom. First, Yah'shua (Jesus) possesses the XY toqef of a male family head as saved men possess the XX of their wives. This reflects back, in the next unfolding fractal, to the husband and wife, who are the tavnith or pattern which Scripture says is the template of the divine relationship between the Heavenly Bridegroom and His earthly Bride, the Redeemed. Yahweh the Father alone is pure Y-toqef because every other being in creation is in submission to Him and to other authorities, whether Yah'shua, the Ruachim, malakim (angels), the firstborn, or the children of the second resurrection. One who possesses XY is both a head and submitted to another toqef or authority. Therefore all men are called to both be sumbitted and to rule.

When a metaphorical 'wife' (a saved, obedient man or woman in Christ) - is subjected to her Master, Yah'shua, 'she' becomes one or echad with Him and thereafter receives His authority to act in His Name to do the things which He commands. As a general principle, the 'Y' principle is granted to those in submission by fulfilling their respective gender-rôles. 'X' has no authority of its own but is the submission chromosome. X can only be filled with authority as she submits to Y. Therefore no saved woman should ever marry an unbeliever (for he will not have the spiritual authority of Yah'shua in him) and will lead her to spiritual destruction, and no saved man should ever marry an unsaved woman (for she will never submit to his authority but will either demand demonic coheadship or complete rulership rights which were never hers to claim or exercise, and so destroy him).

Under a microscope, the Y-chromosome in a man does not look very impressive - it is much smaller and contains mysterious repeating sequences of DNA called pallindromes. And yet it is what it is, and dominates or rules its X partner as Yahweh ordained - it takes two larger X-chromosomes to make a female. And yet Y is not without X for no man exists who does not have a female side. The New Testament in particular, though not exclusively by any stretch of the imagination, requires that men in Christ develop this tender, receptive side to compliment the strong, directive, conquering and ruling side of his nature, both to complete him as an authentic male as well as to be able him to relate to, bind, and become echad (one) with his wife. The false claims of feminism are only maintained and fed by man's refusal to embrace his female side, in proper tavnith or pattern, the male part ruling the female part of his essential self. Until he has mastered this, he will never become the authentic master of his own marriage, but remain a pale and crude shadow of what Yahweh intended him to be.

These are true principles and, as Søren Kirkegaard rightly insisted, it is emet (truth) which enobles. It is the emet (truth) that makes you into a better being, focuses you into becoming the true image of Elohim (God) you were meant to be, defies the corrupt logic of the unbeliever, and manifests the kind of wholeness that both men and women so desperately need. Once man becomes who he was intended to be, and woman whom she was intended to be, then the genders will cease tying their hearts into all manner of complicated knots in order to try to unnaturally fit themselves into some man-made philosophy about sexuality and being. In a world obsessed about sex and yet so incredibly ignorant of it, as witnessed by all its corrupt and self-destrictive practices, the biblical message of true gender rôles is needed more than ever before. Do what the Bible says, trust the Davar (Word, Logos), and simply reproduce your nature according to Torah. If you will embrace emet (truth), you will have much supernatural assistance from Yahweh, and flourish. If you refuse, then you must simply sink into the dark abyss of ignorance and death.
