There is nothing worse than making a hasty decision when you are under pressure or in panic or otherwise uncentred in Christ. Most decisions made under such circumstances come to be later regretted. Any soldier who has had to make tough choices in a combat situation will tell you that the best decisions are always made in calmness.

"He who has knowledge spares his words, and a man of understanding is of a calm spirit" (Prov.17:27, NKJV).

The world is plunging into crisis as I write and when the big crunch comes - when the economies collapse strikes, as it will - level-headedness will be required. Any soldier will tell you that he gains the advantage over his adversary if he can cause him confusion or get him to panic. Satan too will, through causing panic, try to persuade believers to make disasterous decisions made in the heat of the moment. That is why obtaining the spirit of prophecy is so important, not to consume upon our lusts, but to to enable Yahweh to prepare His people in advance which He always does for those willing to listen. Even the Illuminati announce in advance to their supporters what they are going to do using encrypted messages in public broadcasts in the media. Don't you think Yahweh would too, only be open and direct? The Scriptures tell you so unequivocably that He regularly does through the prophets...which is one reason He gave us Rosh Chodesh the Sabbath at which time the prophets are to make themselves available to the people. Therefore He wants you tuned into Him at all times in prayer and to be living a pure life in obedience to the commandments so that there is no interference in your spiritual reception system caused by sin.

It is also essential in these times of national and international instability that men and woman strictly follow divine tavnith or pattern and not seek to assume rôles not asssigned to them by Yahweh. The husband must lead and he must lead in all emet (truth). Yahweh will not respect or honour those who try to usurp callings or rôles not assigned to them even if He does make exceptions when those who should be leading don't step up to the job (but again, be careful - if in doubt, default to your divinely-assigned rôle). At a time of national crisis when there were no men with guts or in proper submission to Yahweh, the woman Huldah was called to lead Israel. It was not her natural rôle but Yahweh made an exception to meet a national emergency. He does do that occasionally. But never make the mistake of assuming that exceptions are the rule because then trouble will follow, as with Queen Jezebel of Israel.

If a man is not right with Yahweh and attempts to lead in the flesh, pity the rest of the family. If a man is weak and lets his wife lead, pity everyone in that family. Accepting divine rôles is not easy in our emasculated and feminised world where men are for the most part either callous, senseless brutes or spiritually castrated shadows of themselves, and the women rebellious and trying to be coheads or heads for which rôle they were never created. In times of disaster the headship rôles are essential for survival, and in times of peace and prosperty reversed headship rôles simply lead to those disasters. Yahweh is not a fool and will not be mocked. Now is the time for both men and women in Christ everywhere to repent.

Stupid men and women who ought to know better are already making foolish decisions about the current crisis. Men and women out of alignment with tavnith are simply expecting to make it through in their own strength, trusting the Government as though it were economically omnipotent, or just trusting Yahweh to do it all for them, and so are living in vain hope. Man and Elohim (God) have their respective responsibilities - men cannot possibly do it all and Yahweh will not do it all: He will do what man cannot do, no more. Thus a man I know who claims to be a prophet has made no preparations at all for the disaster that is about to strike and has made the vain assumption that so long as he is evangelising, Yahweh will take care of all his physical necessities. He has even accused those of making preparations of lacking in faith. Wrong. Husbands and fathers are responsible for meeting their families' physical necessities according to the Eden Mandate given to Adam following the Fall. Yahweh does not plough our fields for us or harvest our crops. Ministers in particular, who are accustomed to growing lazy and obese on the tithes and offerings of their flocks, need to repent, get off their backsides and make their own provisions by doing some proper work. For Yahweh has a warning to such who will not labour and a warning to those who trust such:

"The lazy man will be put to forced labour... the lazy man is wiser in his own eyes than seven men who can answer sensibly" (Prov.12:24; 26:16 NKJV).

The hardships that are coming will, like war, bring out the best and worst in people and we will soon see who are the true men in Messiah and who are not. The same with the women. The feminists will either destroy themselves or their families because when the going gets tough and men wake up and assume their true rôles in order to survive and protect their own, they simply won't put up with their nonsense. Weak-willed men and domineering women will alike perish. And the tough macho men will, like the beasts, do their own thing and either end up alone or enslave weak-willed women, but find no peace or happiness. Crisis recreates patriarchy all by itself, both the true Christ-like kind as well as the demonic counterfeit.

So many decisions need to be made now and even more will need to be made when the collapse happens. Where to live? Where to get a job? Where to get food and water? How to get medicine? How to get currency? How to barter? What to do if a spouse won't follow (as in Prilgrim's Progress? Numerous temptations like 'abandon your religion and get work and food for your table'. So many decisions will need to be made. Are you ready to make them as men and are you willing to submit to them as women? And what do you do if you're alone?

This devotional was prompted by a dream Yahweh gave me this morning in which the enemy tried to make me choose between two wrong choices. Praise Yah I saw through the deception while I was asleep and simply rejected both - there is always a Yahweh-honouring third option when the devil offers us two of his own, either of which will lead to trouble and bondage. And do not force Yahweh's hand by making Him give you two bad options simply because you have chosen a wrong path:

"So Gad came to David and said to him, 'Thus says Yahweh: 'Choose for yourself, either three years of famine, or three months to be defeated by your foes with the sword of your enemies overtaking you, or else for three days the sword of Yahweh -- the plague in the land, with the angel of Yahweh destroying throughout all the territory of Israel.' Now consider what answer I should take back to Him who sent me'" (1 Chron.21:11-12, NKJV).
