Teshuvah #12 Paid
The Fate of the Sins of the Repentant
When Yah'shua the Messiah was nailed to the cross as our atoning sacrifice, all of our sins were nailed there too. His death paid the entire penalty for all sins for all men and women everywhere, past, present and future - the full compliment of the human race.
"And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, He has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses, having blotted out the certificate of debt (the record of all sins we comitted) - by the dogmas - which stood against us. And He has taken it out of the way, having nailed it to the stake (cross)" (Col.2:13-14, ISRV).
There are times in all our lives when circumstances will threaten to overwhelm those trusting in Yah'shua. At these times it is important to remember the certainty of the future of one who trusts, repents and obeys the commandments overrides any uncertainties in this life. The good news is that all our heavenly debts have been paid for us if we will just accept the conditions for receiving that remission of sins. We can then take the advice of King David who said:
"Bless Yahweh, O my soul, and do not forget all His benefits, He who forgives all your iniquities" (Ps.103:2-3).
