The flag of the European Union was adopted on 8 December 1955, the day of the Catholic Feast of the Immaculate Conception of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Since then, there has been a lot of controversy as to its origin and what the symbols represent. The official 'secular' version of its origin is that the twleve stars represent perfection and unity of all the peoples of Europe, or the 12 hours on the clock and the 12 months of the year but there can be little doubt, as one traces its origin historically, that the original inspiration was the Catholic Virgin Mary who is commonly depicted with a crown of 12 stars.

Little known to the public, though, is that there is an older occultic orgin of this flag which included not just the twelve stars but a sun and crescent moon too:

This symbol, taken from Maria Schindler's, Europe: A Cosmic Picture, represents the spiritual evolution of Europe as a result of the combined astrological forces of the sun, moon and 12 constellations of the Zodiac. The very first known flag design of the Pan-European Unionists, from 1923, shows the golden sun on a blue background with a red cross superimposed:

The red cross on a yellow disk was not a Christian Cross but the pagan Sun Wheel representing power and supremacy. It was used in the 1930's and onwards by both Norwegian and Swedish nazi movements. Given that in occultism symbols invariably represent different things at different levels, it is possible to see in this more complete rendition of the EU flag the hidden forces that drive the EU project. Thus the sun represents the solar deity (such as the Solar Logos of Theosophy), the crescent moon the lunar deity (such as Islam), and the twelve stars the stellar deity (like Morena, the occultic Virgin Mary). What is particularly interesting about this EU flag is the size iof the disk, leaving plenty of room for the familiar 12 stars to be added later or to indeed replace the disk until sucb a time that the disk could be reinserted:

Whatever the EU flag actually represents, it isn't biblical: it is a twisting of a biblical system depicting the end-time remnant believers:

"Now a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman (Israel, not the Virgin Mary or the modern Republic in the Middle East) clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet, and on her head a garland of twelve stars. Then being with child, she cried out in labor and in pain to give birth. And another sign appeared in heaven: behold, a great, fiery red dragon (Satan) having seven heads and ten horns, and seven diadems on his heads. His tail drew a third of the stars of heaven (fallen angels, demons) and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was ready to give birth, to devour her Child as soon as it was born. She bore a male Child (Yah'shua the Messiah/Jesus Christ) who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron. And her Child was caught up to Elohim (God) and His throne. Then the woman fled into the wilderness, where she has a place prepared by Elohim (God), that they should feed her there one thousand two hundred and sixty days (the latter half of the 7 year Tribulation)" (Rev.12:1-6, NKJV).
