There was once a man with his family who lived in a house in a large garden with a beautiful river flowing at the back. A balcony looked over the river. One day he heard a commotion at the back of his house and opened his the door onto the balcony. There he found many Admirals in their best white uniforms, with their wives and friends, sitting comfortably and walking around enjoying a party on the balcony, garden and river. It was a lovely summer's day.
The owner of the house was taken aback as he had not invited anyone to his house nor had he been informed of such a gathering. He at once demanded to know what all these people were doing there. One replied that they came every year and that they were simply doing all that they ordinarily did.
The master of the house knew they were lying because they had never once even had such a gathering, and said: "I'm afraid I must ask you to leave immediately as you do not have permission to be here." Nobody moved. The master of the house then said, "If you do not vaccate these premises, I shall have to call the police." A woman, who acted as a spokesperson for the group, looked defiantly at the owner and without saying anything made it clear that they had no intention of leaving, as this is what they always did.
At this point the owner's wife intervened and said to her husband that they ought to be allowed to remain as this was the Christian thing to do, to which her husband replied: "If there had been some genuine mistake and had they been honest, and because of all the preparations that they had evidently made, I would have extended grace and allowed them to have their event on this one occasion. But they lied to me and their business is not honourable." His wife nodded in agreement and withdrew, leaving her husband to do as he saw fit.
This is a true story, or to be more exact, a true 'dream' as this was what I dreamed this morning. But this is not the end of the story.
The moment I awoke from the dream I had a vision, and in the vision there were lots of people wandering around. This time I was outside in the garden and looking towards my house as it is in real life. Without a second's hestitation I knew that what I was dealing with were demons attempting to get a foothold in my soul, and that of my family's, through deceptive means by the exercise of impressive 'authority' - the finely dressed admirals. I at once ordered the demons to leave in Yah'shua's (Jesus') Name as they anxiously scurried around, seeking by some means to remain, but in an instant a force scooped them up off their feet and they were sucked into what looked like a black dumpster. Upon closer inspection I saw that in the ground where the 'dumpster' stood there was a large, gaping black hole and it was into this that the desperately struggling entities were being sucked. As I looked around, I saw others attempting to evade detection and sentence. I repeated the command and they too were sucked up and disappeared into the bowels of the earth.
Others, who were not seemingly aware of me, were there also, walking casually around but when I attempted to order them to leave there was no response, and so I assumed that, whoever they were, it was their business to be there. Then the dream ended.
I felt a tremendous strength return within me after this experience and I knew I had done what was right. It was a warning to me not to be overwhelmed or impressed by those speaking or acting with 'authority' they did not possess. Their actions would prove them top be liars. We are often impressed by people who speak confidently and with an auir of authority. Authority is not necessarily truth. There are, unfortunately, things in life which 'impress' the flesh, possibly because we envy not having these things ourselves. True authority comes from being in possession of emet (truth) and using it to guide in a humble way. Yahweh does not force any man against his will. We are free to choose. But we need to be alert and careful in our choosing so that we are not brought into bondage.
