Pray for Damascus!
Continued from Part 31
The Admonition to Pray for All Nations
You all know the famous Davidic passage of Scripture, "Pray for the peace of Jerusalem" (Ps.122:6, NKJV) and some of you may remember Hezekiah's plea to "pray for the remnant that still survives" (2 Kings 19:4, NIV) after Yahweh's judgments before and after they have been executed. We are admonished to pray for one another individually and in groups in many places in the Bible, especially for fellow believers. But we are also commanded to extend our prayers to the furthermost borders of the world until Yahweh's House - the Temple on one level, but the community of the qadoshim (saints, set-apart ones), is is being used for the purpose that was prophesied for it:
"My house will be called a house of prayer for all nations" (Isa.56:7, NIV; cp. Mk.11:17)
Pray for Damascus
Yesterday, whilst talking with one of the brethren, the Ruach (Spirit) spoke to me, and then to the brother, saying:
The Story of Damascus
Damascus, capital of Syria, is threatened on all sides by a brutal civil war deliberately stoked up by the wicked global élite playing on, and manipulating for its own gain, the extreme sentiments of Islam and its own desire for a return of the brutal Ottoman Caliphate if yesteryear that was finally crushed by the Western Allies in 1918. And Damascus, its capital city, and the oldest continuously inhabited city with remains dating from the Copper Age influenced or conquered by Egyptians, Assyrians, Greeks, Romans, Byzantines, Arabs, Mongols, Mamelukes and Ottomans, is surely one of the most interesting multicultural cities in the world. Its labyrinthine streets, filled with the scent of spices and fragrances and dotted with hundreds of monuments, are a melting pot of history, a showcase of architectural and artistic styles, a feast for the senses. It was here that Christianity made its first steps out of the Holy Land and into the world, and it is here that you will see numerous denominations, Christian and Muslim, who have lived together in peace for generations, and in particular today thanks in part to the fact that the nation's government is secular, the last of its kind in the Middle East, and therefore a rare and precious commodity.
The Great Mosque
In its centre, the Great Mosque of Damascus, also known as the Umayyad Mosque, is the holiest building of the Muslim world after Mecca and Medina, and declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO, and unique because it allows access to non-Muslims. One reason is its tradition says that it houses the head of John the Baptist, a navi (prophet) revered by both Christianity and Islam. Even more interesting, in my view, is that one of its minerets is named for Yah'shua (Jesus).
A Last Refuge
Damascus of Syria is one of the last refuges, and safe houses for, of Christianity in the Middle East. When the Washington- and Tel Aviv-sponsored Muslim militants of ISIS/ISIL/IS and others have wrested control from the government, murder in the form of beheadings and crucifixion, rape and slavery have followed everywhere. Christian communities, along with their historic buildings, a thousand years old and more have been wiped out in the north in what can only be described as a holocaust, thye latest in the ethnic cleansing epidemics. The civil war has changed all of that, sadly.
The Prophecy of Isaiah
Damascus is the last hope of the country and of the Christians there. And yet blood-thirsty Zionists, Western Christian and Jewish alike, are far too eager, in my view, to see an ancient biblical prophecy fulfilled that speaks of the obliteration of this ancient, traditionally religiously tolerant, metropolis:
"'See, Damascus will no longer be a city
but will become a heap of ruins.
The cities of Aroer will be deserted
and left to flocks, which will lie down,
with no one to make them afraid.
The fortified city will disappear from Ephraim,
and royal power from Damascus;
the remnant of Aram will be
like the glory of the Israelites,'
declares Yahweh-Elohim" (Isa17:1-3, NIV).
Beware the Counterfeit!
It is not for us, of course to disagree with, or quarrel over, a prophecy of Yahweh, and when Damascus' time comes for its destruction, then it must be done, even as the Davar Elohim (Word of God) decrees it. But woe unto any man who seeks it destruction before its time, or gives assent to the murderous hand of Yah's enemies who seek to exploit and murder the Syrian people for devilish ends, for Yahweh is judge and exececutioner, not man. And far be it from those who name the Name of Yahweh to wish death on anyone, particularly in allegiance in heart and mind with an anti-messianic counterfeit Israelite state, who call imposterous and murderous Edomites and Khazars the apple of Yahweh's eye (Dt.32:10), who not infrequently glory in the rape and murder of the true people of Elohim (God), who in ignorance and folly apply the Davar Elohim (Word of God) falsely, saying:
"This is the just reward of those who plunder and destroy the people of Elohim (God)" (Is.17:14, NLT).
The People of Elohim are Those Who Trust in Yah'shua
The true people of Elohim (God), in spite of their many false traditions and doctrines, are nevertheless those who are trusting in Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) for their salvation, be they Eastern Orthodox (of whom there are about half a million in the country) or anyone else. Who is being plundered and destroyed today?
Syria and Ephraim Linked
We are seeing today a clear separation between the evil and the good in Syria and if we are to believe in the prophecy of the navi (prophet) Isaiah, then one day - whether in this current prophetic cycle or the next and last one to come - then the destruction of Damascus must also be accompanied by the disappearance of the fortified city from Ephraim (Is.17:3). And this, I would suggest, is something the Zionists have no understanding of at all.
Who is Ephraim?
In the original prophetic cycle to which most of the prophecy pointed and was first fulfilled in, Ephraim (Samaria) was confederated in an unholy alliance with Syria (Damascus) against Judah. Today's Ephraim is no longer in the Holy Land but was scattered by the Assyrians in 721 BC. This prophecy was not completely fulfilled in Isaiah's day since Damascus has never been destroyed. Therefore, unusually for such prophecies that repeat again in the same basic setting in new cycles, this is not a prophecy wholly being repeated but one that has yet to be fulfilled in its entirety for the first time! And since part of it is still a future event, we must ask ourselves, WHO IS EPHRAIM TODAY?
Damascus and London are Linked in the Prophecy
Ephraim is Great Britain (there are those Messianics, keen to promote their own country as the Head of Joseph, who say it is the USA - either way, it is not good for these closely related nations). Only the United States (West Manasseh) is involved in the current Syrian débâcle, Britain (Ephraim), Germany (East Manasseh) and France (Reuben) wisely staying out of the conflict, though interestingly Denmark (Dan) has joined in supporting the Kurds with hardware in Iraq. Clearly Ephraim is not in alliance with Syria or its democratically elected leader, President Assad, and probably never will be. For this prophecy to be fulfilled, some huge political changes have to be made in both Syria and Britain. Assad and Cameron will be long gone when this all plays out and along with the destruction of Damascus we will see a similar fate in London.
Vision of the Destruction of Central London
I have seen such a fate in vision, many years ago. The centre of London was gone - utterly removed, empty, a flat, parched wasteland. And as many of you know, the City of London - not London itself but the 'City of London Corporation' (Westminster), the financial sector of the Metropolis - isn't even a part of Great Britain (London), just as Washington DC and the 'United States Corporation' is not a part of the USA, nor the Vatican a part of the Italian Republic, these three being the Illuminati financial, military and religious centres, respectively.
Today's Arameans
And though I could be wrong, I do not believe we are going to see the destruction of Damascus any time in the near future. Only when a future Westminster is allied with a future Damascus régime and both are persecuting the "people of Elohim (God)" will we see this prophecy fulfilled, and "the remnant of Aram (Syria) will be like the glory of the Israelites". Who are the Aramaic-speaking peoples of modern Syria? The Christians! And as it is written here, their glory will be like the glory of the modern Messianic Israelites who have endured, persevered and overcome.
The Calling
This, then, is a call to pray for Damascus, for all who love Yah'shua (Jesus) there and for righteous Syrians of all backgrounds. Make teshuvah (repent), separate yourselves spiritually from the counterfeit Israel and your allegiance from the Illuminist banksters trying to perpetuate war in the Middle East and elsewhere for their own financial and political gain, and transfer your spiritual ties and political allegiances wholly to the Master Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ). Be separate - be qodesh (holy, set-apart).
