Teshuvah 2
A Warning to Believers
Continued from Part 1
Teshuvah is the time we traditionally reflect on our actions over the past year as we count the days to Yom haKippurim which is both a Day of Atonements and a Day of Judgments.
There is a greater need for repentance this year than ever before since the Second World War and for Yahweh's people to be prepared for the times of desolation that lie ahead. Because of His grace - His undeserved loving klindness toward mankind - Yahweh has in years past withheld His hand of Judgment to give mankind space for repentance, both collectively as a race and as nations, but individually also. The sins of the nations are sacked high, the time of grace has already ended, and the last grains of sand are falling through the hour glass.
Though this is not the final judgment I am speaking of, it is Yahweh's Judgment nonetheless, and no judgment of Yahweh is ever to be taken lightly. If you are hoping for reprieve without action in the form of teshuvah (repentance) on your part, you are strongly deluding yourself. And though you may have heard the cliché in many places of worship throughout your life, quoting the scripture, "Today is the day of repentance", know for sure that today is literally that day, and with it the warning:
"But unless you repent, you too will all perish" (Luke 13:3, NIV).
How many more signs do you need to know this is true? What further acts of terror, what further acts of war, do you need to know this true? And how much nearer home must these things come before you will react with teshuvah (repentance)? And whilst the obedient and the true and the faithful will not be alarmed, because they are prepared and have shalom (peace) with Elohim (God), this is not so for those who have not done these things, even if they may have deceived themselves into thinking they are on the right side of the line of judgment, having done little or nothing to prepare:
"You will hear of wars and rumors of wars, but see to it that you are not alarmed. Such things must happen, but the end is still to come. Nation will rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom. There will be famines and earthquakes in various places. All these are the beginning of birth pains" (Matt.24:5-8, NIV).
Your local food stores will not have stocked shelves when the famine comes to your country or to your neighbourhood. Have you made your preparations? Have you provided food, water, safe shelter away from urban areas, medication, fuel and other essentials should government services collapse? If you have not done so, you are, to put it mildly, putting yourself and your loved ones in dire peril. Where safety and plenty are present one day, they will be gone the next, like a light going out. There will be little or no warning by the powers of the state, only the nevi'im(prophets) will inform you. You are being informed now.
DO IT FAST!
