Section 222
On Menstruation in Women
and the Laws of Niddah
The revelation on menstruation that follows (received on 24 February 1990) was prompted by a question asked by one of the sisters in the ministry. The instruction that follows reveals that menstruation accomplishes both a physical and spiritual cleansing of the soul. This is followed by a discourse on the relationship between cleansing and atonement, showing how Christ, through His sacrificial death, cleanses us of all sin if we put our faith in Him and turn away from breaking the commandments [Voss, Norway].
1. And now I give unto the set-apart ones (saints) a word concerning that which ye call menstruation, which is the monthly passing of blood in women (Lev.15:19-20,25-30; 12:2-4; 18:19).
2. All things have their likeness, as I have told you, whether in Heaven or on earth, or on any other level.
3. Behold, menstruation is governed according to the cycle of the moon, which is the lesser light, and is female.
Seasons and Cycles
4. All things that are rooted in time have their seasons and cycles;
5. And ye are rooted in time, therefore your bodies are also goverened by the seasons.
6. Female is outer and male is inner, which is why male and female are not subject unto the same cycles.
Cleansing and Renewal
7. All that is fallen must be cleansed and renewed, otherwise all would descend into chaos and would be lost.
8. It is necessary that the body be purified and cleansed before new souls are sent unto the daughters of men, for the spirits of the unborn are clean and will not come unto corrupt flesh.
9. Therefore as one part of the body becometh purified, so that which is impure must be expelled, that the two are not mingled.
Preparation for Conception
10. And thus the body of the woman prepareth itself for the arrival of the unborn, not by choice, but by tavnith (pattern);
11. For if ye had no cycle, ye would not of your own agency work a cleansing of the flesh.
12. Thus it hath been ordained from the beginning that this cleansing should be so.
Lunar Cycles
13. And it is mediated by the power of the moon, whose calling is to regulate the cycles of reproduction and multiplication upon the earth1, for the benefit of man and creatures, and all that live thereon.
14. For this cause it is written that a woman is unclean when she menstruateth, for this is the time of expulsion of that which is unclean in the flesh.
Celibacy During Menstruation Mandatory
15. Therefore a man shall not go into his wife at this time, for he shall other-wise receive of her pollutions, and be accursed [for seven days] (NC&C 433).
The Abode of Unclean Spirits
16. All those who live in fallen matter must expell impurities, for they are constantly warring against the pull of dense matter, whose bottom is the pit, where lieth all the impurities of your excretions;
17. And here dwell unclean spirits, whose light is darkness.
18. Now I, the Master, have caused all men to descend into matter, but I have not ordained that he should descend into the pit, which is the sewer of Creation.
19. Nevertheless those of the sons and daughters of men who will not seek after light will descend anyway;
20. And these love their pollutions, and are after the same order of fallen creatures who dwell in their own [or others'] excretion.
21. It is not expedient for the present that I should explain more of this unto you for ye must first learn of higher things concerning the Light (see NC&C 245).
The Cleansing of the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit)
22. Menstruation is a shadow on the lowest plane of the cleansing that is done by the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) on the higher planes.
23. For it is the especial calling of the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) to cleanse out that which is evil and unclean in man, taking it to the lower regions.
24. Where do ye suppose this unclean matter is taken? And how do ye suppose this is done?
25. That which is of one order attracteth matter after its own order, and when the Ruach haQodesh (Holy Spirit) cleanseth man of sin, she driveth out the filth, which is immediately attracted by the lower worlds, where it is collected.
26. And in the course of time this matter is slowly purified, that it may be made useful again, as the worm purifieth the soil,
27. Yea, and also the hosts of other creatures also who reduce impurities into their basic elements, that they may once
more be used by all creatures, high and low.
A Sacred Tavnith (Pattern)
28. The Light in women mediateth their menstruation, expelling physical impurities.
29. And she must lay down a portion of her life to do this, by the shedding of blood.
30. And this type or tavnith (pattern) is plain to all.
31. It is natural that a woman is revolted by the sight of menstrual blood when she beholdeth it for the first time, for all processes of excretion are revolting to the spiritual senses.
32. But the children of men behold not the spiritual aspect, which is beautiful, for all that is spiritual is beautiful.
33. But because it is not visible, men [and women] do not see it, neither rejoice, only seeing the outer.
The Glory of the Cross
34. In a like manner ye understand the glory of the Atonement, even the cleansing and purification,
35. But ye often forget that I, the Master, had to descend into your filthiness, into the sewers of your fallen minds, hearts, and bodies in order to do this, because ye could [and would] not do this yourselves.
The Unrepentant Remain Filthy
36. Nevertheless, those who do not accept Me and My work must descend, and must do this work for themselves;
37. And because of their pride they will not do so, neither showing gratitude nor love for He who hath done all these things for you, that ye might not suffer the indignity and filth of your own sin [And thus they abide in hell].
38. This is sufficient for now.
39. Seek wisdom and ye will find; knock, and it will be opened unto you (Mt.7:7; Lk.11:9).
40. Receive the Door Keeper {Yah'shua the Messiah/Jesus Christ} and ye will be cleansed, if ye will forsake your filthy habits, visible and invisible. Amen.
