Section 142
Israel Must Repent
A plea to Israel to repent, both Judah and Ephraim. The Lord's affection for Israel means He will not abandon her even in rebellion. The corn is growing faster than it can be harvested. Conversion is a process for most. A day of accounting is coming. The temple is a house of discipline.
1. The people of Israel have not stopped sinning against Me since the days of Gibeah1, saith the Lord, whether they are the sons of Abraham by descent or by adoption.
2. Yea, even to this day do they sin against Me, puffing themselves up in their pride and oppressing their fellow man.
Judah and Ephraim
3. Judah hath pulled the plough and Ephraim the harrow these long days, and they have groaned under the burden thereof.
4. They have both trusted in their own strength and both have been disappointed, for the spoils of war have I taken from them, and thorns and weeds grow up over their altars.
The Lord's Affection for Israel
5. Ye children of Israel of the New Covenant: when Israel was a child I loved him and called him forth out of bondage; but the more I called him the more he turned away from Me.
6. I, the Lord, taught him to walk and nursed him in My arms, but he never acknowledged the love and affection which I poured forth upon him.
7. I picked him up and held him close to My face, but he disdained Me; I bent down and fed him, but he laughed at Me.
8. O Israel, how I have loved thee, My son, yet thou hast trampled upon My kindness and scorned the protection of My feathers (Ps.91:4).
9. My heart yearneth for thee as a tender Father, but thou art thankless, My son.
God Will Not Abandon Israel
10. Yet I shall not abandon thee, O Israel, neither shall I give thee up; neither can My heart destroy thee, for My love ever embraceth thee even when thou layest hold of the knife and plungeth it into the heart of He who gave thee life.
11. I am God and not man, therefore I shall not come upon thee in Mine anger.
12. O Israel, surround Me not with lies and deceit for I, the Lord, know thy doings, and thy comings in and thy goings out.
13. I know these things, and though thou speakest evil against Me, I shall bring thee home.
The Corn Grows Faster than the Harvesters Can Gather
14. Verily, verily, thus saith the Lord God of Israel: this is the day of which I spake through My servant Amos, when the corn groweth faster than it can be harvested, and grapes grow faster than the wine can be made (Amos 9:13-15);
15. For light and knowledge is being poured upon you faster than ye can gather it, and My love is being shed abroad in great abundance, more than ye can take into your hearts for the sanctification thereof.
The Lord is Gathering
16. I am bringing My people Israel home, saith the Lord, rebuilding theirruined lives and planting trees of love and knowledge within them.
17. And when I have done this inwardly I will do it outwardly, yea, even in My Kingdom, that all may be at peace and Israel return the affection that I have given him.
Obedience and Discipline
18. I have often chastised you, and I shall chastise you again, until ye learn obedience, saith the Lord, for no man or woman can stand fully independent until he hath learned total obedience;
19. And obedience cometh because of discipline, and discipline because of love, and love because of faith, and faith because ye were converted. (Lk.22:32; Mt. 18:3)
Conversion is a Process
20. Yet ye are not fully converted, for the fullness of faith, love, discipline and obedience is not yours, and can never be yours, until ye have totally yielded yourselves unto Me, your Christ and Saviour, being converted unto the fullness of My Gospel and not just those parts which ye like.
Humility and Pride
21. Ye are not yet humble enough, for ye have not swallowed your pride, but continue to excuse your sins in many ways.
22. All your secrets shall be uncovered, and there shall be no place to hide them, for the Light searcheth all and revealeth all.
23. Yea, and ye yet hide your shame, supposing, like Adam and Eve, that ye can hide from My Presence.
Hiding Behind the Scriptures
24. Yea, and some of you even hide your shame with My Word, supposing that ye can escape the day of revealing.
25. But know ye not that all rivers must empty into the sea, whether they are clean or dirty, and cannot hide in the forest forever?
The Day of Accounting
26. Even so must every man stand forth and give an account of his deeds, whether they be good or evil;
27. And he must bear testimony in front of those he hath wronged, and not in secret places.
Discipline of the Temple
28. No man or woman can enter into My Holy House who hath not made confession, nor been conformed to the discipline of Mine ordinances, which ye know [of].
29. This is the Order of the Firstborn, and there is none other, saith the Lord.
30. Therefore let the sun of righteousness {Christ} rise in your souls to cast out the shadows of the world.
31. Let Israel sing praises unto his God and bend his knee, and I will pour grace upon him without measure. Even so. Amen.
