Section 70
On the United Order
This revelation on the Acts of the Apostles was received in answer to a doctrine taught by the leader of an American heretical New Age sect, with whom some of the members had had contact prior to coming to the New Covenant, concerning the United Order of all things in common. He had argued that "all things" (KJV) also referred to "all persons" even though the Greek, huparchônta is unambiguous in referring solely to 'property', 'possessions', 'wealth', 'goods' or 'material substance'. Though his interpretation was immediately dismissed as unscriptural and devilish, revelation was sought to preclude a similar repetition in the future. This revelation therefore comes as a sober warning not to twist the Word of God. The first Christians were Jews and would never have countenanced such a doctrine. The Israelite marriage laws have never changed [Oppsal, Oslo, Norway].
1. Behold, My son, thou hast searched the scriptures {Bible} which are plain to understand and the Holy Spirit hath born witness unto thee of their truth.
2. I have expanded thy mind and caused thy heart to rejoice; for the truth changeth not and beareth witness of itself everywhere.
3. Listen unto Me, for I desire to reveal unto thee that which is plain, for cunning men have wrested the scriptures and have tried to conform them to their preconceived doctrines, so now I speak unto thee concerning the saints of former times.
4. It is written that the saints were of one mind and heart and that they had all things in common, sharing everything they had (Ac.4:32ff), and this is verily true. And Luke here speaketh of material possessions.
The United Order Concerns the Sharing of Material Things Only
5. There are some who declare that the saints shared their wives one with another also but I say unto thee, and to those corrupters of My Word, that these are words of blasphemy and heresy and are after the order of a carnal mind and heart.
6. These people were Jews, My son, and in the beginning they lived after the Law of Moses and spurned the homes of the Gentiles (Ac.10-11) for though I taught them the higher principles of the Covenant of Christ they were yet bound up in their former ways.
7. I taught them nothing concerning taking the Gospel to the Gentiles for they would not have received it anyway, but I had to teach them through the Comforter after I had gone, that they might be instructed of the Spirit.
8. And they lived the marriage laws of Israel both before and after My resurrection.
Reading in Fantasy
9. The sons of men read too much into the Scriptures and seek for things which are not there, making the people of My day into images of themselves and their own cultures and expectations.
The Disciples not at First Converted
10. None of My disciples were prop- erly converted until after I had gone (Lk.22:32, KJV), and not until the day of Pentecost were they properly born-again and endowed with fire which My Father sent from the Heavens.
11. At no time before this were they endowed with the Holy Spirit in power.
The Record of Luke is True
12. The record of Luke1 is true, saith the Lord, and is trustworthy, yea, and also that part of his record known as the Acts of the Apostles.
13. If a man will read them in a spirit of prayer he shall know about the early saints and understand them.
14. These words are faithful and shall be recorded that those reading records not belonging unto My Scriptures may judge them according to the standard which I have given. Even so. Amen.
