Section 46
On Raising Children
Revelation on child-raising. Communal or kibbutz-type environment proscribed by the importance of raising nuclear families. Strictness an important precept. Fatherhood is as important as motherhood. Sexual abuse and adultery are accursed. Each family should have their own self-contained home. No child sealing permitted. Spiritual and physical age. Adult-youth relations [Rosenborg, Oslo, Norway].
1. Ye parents of Zion unto whom hath been given the sacred stewardship of children, how sacred ye know not for ye have not seen the mind of the Father, neither have ye seen the weeping of your Heavenly Father on account of your neg- ligence towards your little ones.
2. Hearken and listen, for he who obeyeth not My precepts in these things shall verily be cursed1 as pertaining to the righteousness of the Firstborn.
Strictness is an Important Precept
3. Thou shalt love thy child with all thy heart, yea, for the cup of thy waters shall never end nor be turned into wrath.
4. Thou shalt govern thy children with strictness and measure unto them with a rule, the Law of Heaven, that they may know the exactness of Heaven, that they may see that I, the Lord, am without variableness, a sure rock of salvation.
5. Thou shalt be dependable and not turn away the cries of the child in distress but administer unto him always.
Kindergartens and Nannies to be Avoided
6. Thou shalt not neglect thy responsibility and stewardship in any degree, saying: "I will hand my child over to another for one day a week that I may be about my own business" or anything like unto it2.
7. Doth the Lord thy God depart from the children of men for even one moment?
8. Do I turn away your prayers, O ye sons and daughters of the earth? Am I not with you always?
9. Therefore be ye not hypocrites and give your children over to others that ye may selfishly pursue your own desires, for if ye will not parent them diligently according to the heavenly pattern, it isbetter that ye do not bring children into the world lest ye become the procreators of much sorrow.
10. It mattereth not if ye give your children over to others in Zion that ye may be about your business3; do I, the Lord, depart and send angels to rule over you and answer your prayers?
11. Ye mothers in Zion, ye know not how sacred is your stewardship over your little ones!
12. Therefore ye must sacrifice for them, remembering your charge always, lest the child of neglect becometh the child of wrath.
Fatherhood is Important
13. Ye fathers in Zion, ye know not how sacred is your stewardship also over your little ones!
14. An absent father is no father at all and shall not know the fatherhood of the Firstborn;
15. Ye shall therefore give attention unto your homes and your little ones always for therein is your joy and your increase.
The Curse of Sexual Abuse and Adultery
16. Cursed be the man of adultery who divideth mother or father from child, for his reward is Hades and the darkness thereof.
17. And cursed is the man who sexually molesteth My little ones, for his reward shall be the fire that burneth forever4.
18. Verily, verily, I say unto you, that if a man hurteth any child, it would be better that he had not been born, but had a millstone tied around his neck and be thrown into the depths of the sea (Mt.18: 6).
19. I have given these little ones into your watch-care, saith the Lord.
20. Be ye therefore emulators of the Heavens and the pattern thereof, taking responsibility for your children, even your own flesh and blood.
21. Even now there are some in Israel who, though true and faithful in most of their covenants, have neglected their children or who have interfered with the stewardship of other parents, and must needs repent.
Kibbutz-like Child-Rearing is Unacceptable
22. Some have supposed that the boundaries of families could be broken down and that the children be raised communally by one or two overseers, but in this ye do greatly err, saith the Lord.
23. If I had desired this, I would have made you as I made the ants and the bees.
24. Let each mother and father raise their own offspring, for unto them is given the primary duty.
25. Only then shall the mothers and fathers in Zion fulfill their communal responsibility, becoming secondary mothers and fathers unto all the little ones in Zion.
26. But if a mother and father are not loving, and are causing their little ones to be divided within themselves on account of their unrighteousness, and they will not repent and reform their ways, only then shall the spiritual mothers and fathers of Zion be permitted greater watch-care {with the consent of the parents}.
27. For when the children of men de- part from Me they begin to hate their own flesh, even their offspring, and fail to nourish them according to the pattern.
Each Family to Have a Home
28. Let each family receive its own home in Zion that they who are of one flesh and spirit may gather together, each home being separated one from another as it is written by the prophet Isaiah.
29. Some have confused the spiritual and the temporal and have supposed that all should dwell together in one large home in the Firstborn Order.
30. But such is not after any Heavenly pattern, for even in the highest degrees one family is divided from another by a partition even though they are united spiritually in all things, or in other words, they are united in mind, intelligence, and purpose.
No Doctrine of Child-Sealing in Zion
31. The doctrine of sealing children unto their parents is not of Me, saith the Lord, but is a perversion, for this doctrine is predicated on the heresy that a man's glory is in proportion to his kingdom of children and the number of heirs sealed unto him5.
The Difference Between Spiritual and Physical Age
32. A man's inheritance and glory is predicated only upon his righteousness; and thus if a man's son riseth up into greater Light than his father, then behold, the son shall have a greater glory than the father and rule over him in the heavens, and shall become his father's spiritual father.
33. That which is of the flesh is not of the spirit unless the two are one.
34. Therefore a man's age meaneth nothing, saith the Lord, for I, the Lord, am no respector of age as touching spiritual things.
Parent-Youth Relations
35. Nevertheless ye shall reverence and honour the elderly, whether they are greater in light or not, even as it is written in the Law, for this is the holy pattern on earth and is pleasing unto the Lord your God.
36. Let the young be subject unto the elderly, showing forth all due respect, and suffer not the elderly to provoke the young to wrath through unrighteous dominion, even as I have said before.
37. So no more for now. Amen.
