1-04. The Payment Elohim (God)
Made for Your Sin
"Elohim (God) demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Messiah (Christ) died for us" (Romans 5:8).
Christianity is unique inasmuch as it claims that Messiah has done all the payment of sin for us already. Other religions teach that we have to do it all ourselves, even if that means being supposdly "reincarnated" millions of times until we have "got it right". Yahweh has declared that we only have ONE LIFE to get it right and that we cannot afford to postpone the day of decision.
All false religion is basically "do-it-yourself". To become sinless and perfect under one's own steam is not unlike someone training hard to become Superman. It just can't be done. Though we may make some self-improvements we are unable in our own strength to measure up to the standard required of Elohim (God) and which will bring us the greatest happiness.
Christ paid the penalty for your sin. Because the wages of your sin is death, He died for you.
On the cross, Yah'shua (Jesus) poured out His "blood on behalf of many for forgiveness of sins". He did this so
"that by the grace of Elohim (God) He might taste death for everyone". In this way,
"Elohim (God) demonstrates His own ahavah (love) toward us".
Do you believe that Elohim (God) made payment for your sins in Messiah's death for you on the cross? If so, say:
"I believe Yah'shua the Messiah (Jesus Christ) died for my sins".
