Brethren and Sisters, this afternoon I wish to address the important subject of Rock Music. Though this is a subject that has been brought up from time to time in this Church it has usually been within the wider context of worldly music in general. Because the Bible says very little about this subject it has been wrongly assumed by Christians that music is something that is spiritually neutral and that what we must be alert to is the lyrics of songs rather than the notes and rhythms. No greater error could be made than to believe such a thing and indeed an indifferent and sleepy Christendom has, because of its carelessness and lack of revelation in this area, fallen into a dangerous sleep.

Though the Bible says very little on the subject of music there are ancient Hebrew texts, which were never accepted into the biblical canon but which were regarded with high esteem throughout the centuries, that speak very forcefully on this subject. As we know from our record of Genesis, the patriarchal narratives span very large periods of time and largely focus on key persons and events that are to do with the formation of the nation of Israel and the coming of the Messiah. According to a pseudepigraphical text called the "Books of Adam and Eve" which purports to be a record of early patriarchal times that goes farther than Genesis does in describing the conditions of the early antediluvian world, and which we believe contains much truth, the early children of Yahweh were originally enticed into sin by the music of those who had fallen into Satan's clutches, namely, the decendants of Cain. Commanded by Yahweh "not to mingle with the children of Cain, and not to learn their ways" (2 A&E 19:4), the very opposite occurred. As a rest of this intermingling of God's people with the worlds, a Great Flood was sent, preserving only EIGHT souls unspotted from these devilish practices.

What was it that caused the children of the Covenant to mingle with the world? How did it begin? Did they suddenly turn their backs on Yahweh and, in open defiance, say like Frank Sinatra, "I'll do it MY way!"? Or was their journey into the dark avenues of first, temptation, and then, open sin, the result of something more subtle? I am going to tell you something that was known long ago but which has become forgotten - something that may surprise you, and hopefully alarm you, so that you are awakened to your senses: the mass destruction of God's people in the earliest days of earth's history was not caused by the impetuous, rash pride of Lucifers and Cains (though there was a liberal sprinkling of these ingredients), but by the appeal of a CERTAIN KIND OF MUSIC. Accoring to the Books of Adam and Eve there was, in the early days, a special kind of music that possessed the power to ravish people's souls (2 A&E 20:3). The music carried with it such impure spirits that once the children of Yahweh yielded their souls to it, they became demon-possessed - literally. The music had a certain quality of beat which rendered their spiritual senses numb and excited their lower nature - the passions of the flesh. Though there were lyrics to much of this music, much of it was wordless. The music in itself possessed a sinister power. Within a short period of being exposed to this music, those who had once been faithful, obedient, and loving members of the Covenant of Yahweh were suddenly transformed into devils.

The children of Cain lived in the valleys where, it would seem, in an environment requiring less strenuous labour in order to survive, and leading to suplass wealth, they had the extra leisure time in which to get into mischief. We are reminded of two valley cities called Sodom and Gomorah into which one illustrious Patriarch called Lot decided to go and live. The price he and his family paid is well known. Once the children of Yahweh descended into the plains where the Cainites lived, the end was sealed. How, then, can faithful believers, accustomed to praying, fasting, obeying the commandments, and worshipping the Most High God, suddenly be turned into devil worshippers? (2 A&E 20:15-16,27,35) According to this patriarchal record, the music of the Cainites robbed the people of Yahweh of their self-control and stripped away their free agency. They became, to all intents and purpose, mindless zombies (2 A&E 20:3,9).

What kind of music did the Cainites listen to? Well, we have not been left musical scores but the records do tell us something about the TYPE of music it was. It was INTENSE, possessed great MOMENTUM, and was played for hours on end. The impassioned Cainite musicians inflamed the hearts of the children of Yahweh and before very long had won them over to their culture, way of life, and false religion. (2 A&E 20:2,4,12-13). And in hardly any time at all, these once godly people were indulging in all the abominations of these depraved people (2 A&E 20:34).

The account in the Books of Adam and Eve actually go into some detail and tell us of a man called Genum who was inspired by Satan to create various musical instruments and to organise groups of bands of musicians to play them (2 A&E 20:2,4). As Genum and his friends played their music, "Satan came into them, so that out of them were heard beautiful and sweet sounds that ravished the heart" (2 A&E 20:3). As these bands were playing to their excited audiences, the children of Cain "burned as with fire" and lust increased amongst them, leading finally, we suppose, to the same kinds of origies that accompanied the worship of the Golden Calf at the foot of Mr. Sinai (2 A&E 20:4).

Now this music was not devised simply to entertain the Cainites. It was not something that they "acidentallty discovered". It was a deliberate plant by Satan. It was given by REVELATION - by demonic inspiration. Satan commanded Genum to play this music DAILY until it was so much in the blood of the Cainites that they were possessed of it. Once the Cainites were destroyed by it, it became Satan's chief weapon in destroying the Covenant people of God. Each day the Cainite bands would assemble at the foot of the holy mountain so that it was within ear-shot of Yahweh's people (2 A&E 20:11). It took a whole year to get the curiosity of the people sufficiently aroused as to start killing the first proverbial cats. Increasingly large numbers of Yahweh's people attended these concerts to listened enwrapped to the musicians (2 A&E 20:12). Once their attention had been got, Satan again appeared to Genum and taught him how to prepare seductive clothing using dyestuffs (2 A&E 20:13). The site of the dancing Cainites in dazzling clothes, the likes of which they had never seen before, mesmerised them (2 A&E 20:14).

A man of Yahweh called Jared warned his people that if they went down from the holy mountain that God would not permit them to return. Their covenant would be severed. They were told to have nothing to do with this kind of music and were warned of its destructive nature. But they did not listen. Instead, increasing numbers of Yahweh's people went down to the bottom of the mountain until there were hardly any left (2 A&E 20:30; 21:1). For "when they looked at the daughters of Cain, at their beautiful figures, at their hands and feet dyed with colour, tattooed in ornaments on their faces, the fire of sin kindled in them" (2 A&E 20:31). Furthernore, "Satan made them look most beautiful" so that the people were filled with lust one for another like hungry animals, until the whole gathering descended into one mass orgy (2 A&E 20:32-34).

Though our Bibles do not record it, I can tell you that this most certainly DID happen, and I am called today to retell this painful saga of our early ancestors. Some of the people of Yahweh, when they saw what this music led to, began to repent of their foolishness and rebellious spirit, BUT IT WAS TOO LATE - God would not permit them to return (2 A&E 20:26). Before they had dwelt in glory, purity and innocence - in fact, they had been born and raised in communities not unlike those we in the New Covenant Church of God are starting to set up (2 A&E 20:33-34) but once their passions had been inflamed, there was a fiery temptation in their souls which precluded them from ever entering such a holy environment again. Through being enticed by devilish music they had CUT THEMSELVES OFF FROM COMMUNION WITH YAHWEH.

Throughout my ministry I have pleaded with the saints to BEWARE concerning music. Even before I could name the Name Yahshua (Jesus) God taught me something about music. Though what He taught me was completely contrary to the stream of popular music that was saturating young people when I was a teenager and a young man, I nevertheless shunned the world's music as though it were the devil himself. And I have taught, time and time again, if you want to develop a sensitivity to hear the Spirit of God, you have got to clear your system of trashy and soul-numbing music.

What is remarkable about the story in the Books of Adam and Eve is how similar it is to today's society. Today, as anciently, the younger generation of a covenant people has yielded itself to the seduction of immoral music. As writer Avraham Gileadi notes: "If you have any doubt that rock music ravishes the soul, inflames the heart, or sets passions on fire, just witness a concert by any well-known rock group. The spectacle they create - its fantasy, frenzy, and hysteria - appeals to the very basest of human emotions. The physical appearance of the musicians - their gaudy and glittering attire and their lewd and suggestive gestures - parallel in every way to the Cainites that the Books of Adam and Eve describe. As Isaiah foresaw, "the look on their faces betrays them: they flaunt their sin like Sodom; they cannot hide it" (Isa.3:9)".

"But", you may ask, "how do you know that rock music has anything to do with the Cainites? They didn't have electric guitars in those days!" No, they didn't, but that really doesn't matter, does it? They didn't have machine guns either but they murdered just the same. They didn't shoot cocaine, but they had plenty of other narcotics. They didn't have porno films, but they had live performances.

Let's leap a few centuries nearer our own time and try and trace the passage of this early Cainite music through time. You will be surprised to discover how little its basic elements have changed.Many centuries ago, before Britain became Christian, Druidism was its religion. The druid riests, who were known as "Men of Oak" because of their worship in sacred groves (condemned, incidentally, in the Bible), were satanists and offered human sacrifices. They were so filled with demons that they possessed formidable supernatural powers that terrorised the local people. Male slaves, Romans soldiers, and others were often burned alive in cages over solid ground. The druids would call forth Elfin fire out of the earth to consume the victims. In the background of these mystical and terrifying ceremonies a musical beat could always be heard.

You will recall that in the Bible the prophet Elijah called upon Yahweh to send fire from heaven to consume his sacrifice before the false priests of Baal (1 Ki.18). Well, Satan is able to duplicate this sort of miracle and we are informed by God through the apostle John that when Satan's false prophet comes to the earth he too will command fire down from heaven during the tribulation period in order to fool people (Rev.13:13). As I have told you many times, Satan is able to counterfeit MOST miracles.

Well, the druids had a big night which was called Samhain on 31 October and which we today call Halloween. Thousands of years ago small children in pre-Christian Britain would go from door to door telling "Trick or Treat". On Halloween the druids and their followers wernt from catle to castle and self to self playing "trick or treat" The "treat" from the castle demanded by the druids would be a princess or some woman for human sacrifice. If the "treat" pleased the druids they would leave a Jack O'Lantern with a lighted candle made of human fat to protect those inside from being killed by demons that night. When some unfortunate couldn't meet rhe demands of the druids, then it was time for the "trick". A Hex (or hexagram drawn in a circle - not to be confused with the Star of David) was drawn on the front door. That night Satan or his demons would kill someone in that home through fear.

The spellbinding beat of the druid music filled the night as the ceremony began. The men assaulted the victim and they brutally sacrificed ger to the god of many names such as: The Horned Hunter of the Night, Kernos, the Oak God of the Underworld, or the God of the Dead. Or quite simply, Satan.

Stonehenge in England was the temple site for many of these occultic murders. Interestingly enough (though not surprisingly), Stonehenge has in recent times become a mecca for hippies, punks, and has been the scene of major rock concerts. Coincidence?

Now you may think these these human sacrifices are things of the past but you would be SERIOUSLY wrong. Occult killing occur every year in the USA, Britain, and indeed all around the world. Druidism, though in different mutated forms, is still very much alive.

In Exodus 12:3-13 when the children of Israel were slaves in Egypt, which was then a pagan land, Yahweh told Moses to have them kill a lamb and sprinkle its blood on the door for their protection because that night the death angel would kill the firstborn in every house in Egypt. As Yahweh passed through that cursed land, every time He saw that blood of the lamb, He passed over that house and those inside were spared. That is the Hebrew Passover, and it is, as you know, a type or picture of an event that was to come later in history. Yahshua (Jesus) came into this world to become a Passover Lamb (1 Cor.5:7b). Yashua (Jesus), the Lamb of God, was the sacrifice provided by Yahweh for our sins, if we receive Him as our personal Saviour and Lord (John 1:29). That precious blood which He shed washed's away our sins and our past is wiped clean, never to be remembered again (1 Jn.1:7b). Those of us who are trusting in Christ and seeking to obey Him ARE UNDER THE BLOOD OF CHRIST and that is our protection. I mention this in the conext of what I am speaking about today because it is most important.

After death we must all stand before Yahweh to be judged (Rom.14:12; 2 Cor.5:10). When Yahweh sees the blood of His Son on us, He passes over us on the Day of Judgment. BUT He will not pass by anyone who dies in his sins! (Matt.25:41).

Now let me take you to ancient Scotland and to the Roman times. At that time the land was inhabited by several tribes, the main ones being the Picts and the Scots. Now the Picts were under the control of the druids and were the toughest fighting force the Roman soldiers ever faced. If you are impressed by the Japanese suicide pilots of the Second World War these Picts will impress you even more. One Pict would deliberately jump onto a Roman infantryman's spear to let the Pict behind him kill the Roman soldier. The Picts were completely demon-possessed and were by no means the first people to become "brave" in battle as the result of occultic infestation. A little under two millennia ago (98-180 AD) the druid religion was finally outlawed. It went underground but has been secretly active to our own day.

Now it's the music of the druids that I wish now to draw your attention to. They used flutes, tambourines and drums covered with human skin. The words for every song or melody were especually designed for CASTING OCCULT SPELLS. The drum beat was the key to addict the listener. It was a form of HYPNOTISM. Most importanly, the same beat the druids used is in the ROCK MUSIC of today. And I mean BOTH hard and soft rock. The beat is STILL there.

The Beatles opened up a Pandora's box when they hit the United States with their druid/rock beat in the 1960's. They became so popular that they were able to turn young people on to the Eastern religions. The flood gates to witchcraft were opened by this pop group from Liverpool in England, and the United States - indeed the WHOLE WORLD - will NEVER RECOVER. The music of witchcraft is now SO ENTRENCHED in homes around the world that we, today, face a situation not dissimilar from the years immediately prior to the Great Flood in Noah's day.

Now this invasion by the music of witchcraft, which is what rock music is, was well planned. It wasn't an "accident". One of the greatest victories in the occult world was to penetrate the "Christian" music with their satanic beat. I know of Christian youth who destroyed their rock records but after listening to "Christian rock", the druid beat soon pulled them to worldly rock music again. Then the desire to study the Bible cools off!

Brethren and Sisters, we Christians are in a full scale way but most of you don't know it! You are being attacked by the powers of darkness through spells and incantations and you don't even know what's going on. When you listen to rock music, you ae allowing Satan to go for your jugular vein!

A man called John Todd was a druid high priest and eventually was saved and is now an active Christian working for the Lord. He was a part of a power structure which controlled Masonic lodges, polticians and witches in the United States. In fact, he had over 65,000 top witches under his authority. Their goal was to destroy Bible-believing churches and make wicthcraft the religion of the United States.

A true Bible-believing Christian has more power than a witch (1 Jn.4:4; Lk.10:19) but they simply aren't aware of it! As long as they are ignorant of their powers Todd and his friends set about hypnotising them through charms and infiltrating their churches with rock music. And when the time was ripe, they would blow their faces off the face of the earth.

Let's briefly back track two millennia to the encient city of Ephesus. In the 19th chapter of Acts, a strange incident took place. Seven unbelieving Jews tried to cast out demons from a possessed man (Acts 19:13-14). They commanded the demons to depart from the man who replied, "Jesus I know, and Paul I know, but who are YOU?". The Scripture records: "And the man in whom an evil spirit was leaped on them, and overcame them, and prevailed against them, so that they fled out of that house naked and wounded" (v.16). "And fear fell on them all, and the Name of the Lord Yahshua (Jesus) was magnified" (Ibid.).

The result was electric. Christians who had been formerly involved in the occult gathered all their occult books together and burned them in public and as a result the Word of God spread far and wide (Acts 19:19-20).

The occult was big business two thousand years ago. Christians will NEVER be effective as long as they have astrology books, tarot or playing cards, rock music, occult jewelry and crystals, New Age computer games like "Dungeons and Dragons" or ouija boards in their homes.

Let me give you an example of occult jewelry. For years these symbols could only be obtained in occult bookstores but now they are pished everywhere. Witches call them amulets or talismans and they are FAR from being harmles! They were created for demonic worship and to CAST SPELLS ON THOSE WHO WEAR THEM.

I'm sure you've seen the upside down star or pentagram which symbolises the Horned Hunter of the Night, which is Satan, Lucifer or the devil. It's all the SAME PERSON. But the most powerful spells hitting Christian homes come through rock music. And that is why, brethren and sisters, if you have any rock records, tapes, posters, magazines or CD's you have got to burn them TONIGHT! Yahweh has commanded: "Neither shalt thou bring an abomination into thine house, lst thou be a cursed thing like it; but thou shalt utterly detest it, and thou shalt utterly abhor it; for it is a cursed thing" (Deut.7:26).

This is no joking matter and even though unbelievers, and sadly not a few believers, who hear what I am saying will accuse us of being crackpots, fanatics, or whatever, the fact of the matter is that we are dealing with a DANGEROUS REALITY.

Back when John Todd was in the Council of 13 Druid High Priests, one of his cover jobs was to manage 'Z' Productions, one of the largest producers of rock music. One day they got some bad news when they learned that Christian were starting to burn rock music. A few pastors directed by the Holy Spirit held record burnings but it didn't catch on and spread to all churches. It was a close call for the witches.

Witches have their own language like truck drivers use on C.B. radios, only the occult language is more carefully guarded. When they produced a rock song at 'Z' Productions, it contained coded spells or incantations that the listener wasn't aware of. A wicth would write the words and they would dig up an old druid manuscript containing a melody for the song. Top flight musicians were hired to record the music. After the recording session they ended up with a Master - like a video tape containing 16 tracks. This Master would be set aside for about six months. It wasn't ready for production until it has been "blessed", or in other words, blessed by an evil force or curse. On a full moon some of the most powerful witches in the United States would arrive to put the finishing touches on the song. They conjure up Regé, who is a demon, and, for example, cast a spell to increase the listeners' belief in reincarnation. Inside 'Z' Productions, the very large room used for this ceremony was large, locked doors made of oak. This ceremony is done "skyclad" or in the nude.

Brethren and sisters, we are talking about pure satanism now and those who participate in these rituals are playing with fire. They are under the deluded belief that they will rule i'the earth with Satan. But when it is too late, they will realise that they have been DOUBLE-CROSSED. A time is coming when Yahshua (Jesus) has overthrown Satan who is to be thrown into the lake of fire, where he will bow down and be forced to confess that "YAHSHUA (Jesus) IS LORD!"

"And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night fior ever and ever" (Rev.20:10).

"Wherefore Yahweh (God) has highly exalted Him (Yahshua/Jesus), and given Him a name which is above every name: That at the name of Yahshua (Jesus) every knee should bow, of things in heaven, and things in earth, and things under the earth; And that every tongue shoudl confess that Yahshua haMashiach (Jesus Christ) is Lord, to the glory of God the Father" (Phil. 2:9-11).

Occult rituals, friends, are STRICTLY FORBIDDEN by Yahweh. Under the Old Testament law witches were to be put to death for calling forth evil spirits (Ex.22:18): "When thou art come into the land which the Lord thy God hath given thee, thou shalt not learn to do after the abominations of those nations. There shasll not be found among you any one that maketh his son or his daughter to pass through the fire (child sacrifice), or that useth divination, or an observer of times, or an enchanter, or a witch, or a charmer, or a consulter with familiar spirits (spiritualism/channelling), or a wizzard, or a necromancer. For all that do these things are an abomination unto Yahweh: and because of these abominations the Lord thy God doth drive them out before thee" (Deut.18:9-12).

Now back to the ceremony in 'Z' Productions. There the High Priestess summons Regé, Satan's top demon over the occult.

The Word of God says: "For we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities (demons), against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this world, against spiritual wickedness in high places" (Eph.6:12).

The High Priestess then casts spells over the music. John Todd went to many of these ceremonies - now you know whay rock or druid music has such a hold on its listeners. Remember, that every recording that has been cursed has a visitor with it - a demon.. That's why so many Christian homes are so messed up! When you listen to rock music YOU CAST A SPELL ON YOUSELF!

"But what about Christian rock music? you may be asking. Well, the words may appear to be God's but the beat belongs to Satan. You tell ME - how can they be equally yoked together? (2 Cor.6:14)

I've heard a story that's worth repeating here today - of a missionary returning to the foreign field. His kids had brought back some rock records with them. When they played the records, the Christian natives became upset. "Pastor, why are you playing that music in your home?" one of them asked. "That's my children's recods thet brought back from America...is there something wrong with the music?" the Pastor asked, surprised. "Yes, Pastor," replied the brother, before we came to Jesus (Yahshua) WE USED THAT MUSIC TO CALL UP DEMONS."

Friends, if you love your homes, if you love your own souls, if you love your children's souls, then you have got to do what the Christians did in Ephesus (Acts 19:19-20; Eph.5:3-12) - go home and dig out your astrology books, rock music, occult jewelry and games, and burn them immediately! Clean up your homes. get rid of those ungodly love stories, that best seller with the filthy language - get rid of them too! The country music about honky tonkin', sleeping with other men's wives, rap music with its disgusting words - all of that has to go too. Remember, Yahshua (Jesus) must be the Lord of your READING and your MUSIC too.

Remember the Eastern Star Symbol? The Masonic Lodges have been a part of the Illuminati since around 1775. No Christian has a right to be involved in ANY secretive occult organisation and those of you who have joined have been duped. It's OCCULT - even the pope of Freemasonry, Albert Pike, admitted that Lucifer was his god! ("Occult Theocracy" by Lady Queensborough, pp.220-221. I invite any young people who are hooked on this music to renounce it - NOW! If you're unsaved, REPENT. That means being willing to turn away from sin and give your life to Yahshua (Jesus) - let His precious blood wash away your sins!

To some of you, rock music has become your god - and in the Bible Yahweh says in Exodus 20:3: "Thou shalt have no other gods before Me."

We've got to wake up! Every Bible-believing Pastor is on a death list by satan's crowd. Pastors should ask for God's help to start preaching like modern day Elijahs with holy boldness and POWER from on high.

You Pastors: gather your Elders and Deacons and bound Satan acording to Matthew 18:18. Pray for the blood of Yahshua (Jesus) to cover and protect.

BE AWARE that believers have power over Satan and his demonic forces. Yahshua (Jesus) said: "Behold, I give unto you power to tread on serpents and scorpions, and OVER ALL THE POWER OF THE ENEMY: and NOTHING SHALL BY ANY MEANS HURT YOU. Notwithstanding in this rejoice not that THE SPIRITS ARE SUBJECT UNTO YOU; but rather rejoice, because your names are written in heaven" (Luke 10:19-20).

"If God be for us...who can be against us?" (Rom.8:31) Let us not shy away from the tasks that we face for they are a matter of life and death - for us as well as for our loved ones.
