We Have a Problem and Need Your Input...

We have a problem, and it would seem we're not the only ones. It seems that people are so spread out in dozens of other Messianic and Evangelical Ning Networks (which keep on multiplying) that most members become mere statistics and forget even what groups they belong to (after switching off post-monitoring features when their email boxes get bombarded from different groups).

As ministers it does help to know whether we're making any difference to the people we try to serve so in order to justify continuing using time and other resources in maintaining this ME Group, and so we'd appreciate it if you could just drop by this Forum on a once-off basis (we're not 'demanding' regular contributions as some groups do) to let us know if anything we post here is useful to you, and specifically what. If not, then we will post our materials on our main website, as we used to before, and revert back to maintaining 1-to-1 email contact with people instead.

I think Ning is a fantastic free service but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that what it tends to become is a mass of one-man-churches with everyone seeking their own following. So as part of a review of our stewardship, we'd appreciate a word to know if you think this service is helpful to you or not. If not, we will likely channel our energies elsewhere.

    Thank you and Yahweh bless!

I've noticed that there are certain common ebbs and flows of activity across all the ning networks.
Whenever there's a Moed, or preparation for a Moed, the activity will drop.
As the deadlines for tax returns approached, the activities on the networks dropped.
Then of course because April 15 coincided with the week of Unleavened Bread, it was both factors.

Our tax forms are due on 2 May ;)

    Hello,

I am new to this site and found the group while continuing my search to find people who have heard the same things from God that I have. Your group is the closest that I have found so far. I would hate to see it disband this site if this is one of the main ways that people like me who are relatively isolated from like believers can get 'connected'. I have found a few somewhat like believers around the world, but none with a deep dedication to serve the Lord. I know that you guys like to speak Hebrew, but I am an American born and bred, though God brought us to South Africa to get us out of 'Babylon'. I speak English and God speaks to me in English. So please forgive me if it offends you that I do. I do not do well learning new languages as is exemplified by the fact that I live in a society that has a number of official languages, (I think ar least 11) and I have not learned any of them. I have tried to learn Afrikaans, since it is the main language in the area that I live, but even though my wife speaks it fluently, I still struggle with it after 3 years here. My personal opinion is that English is the connecting language of most of the people of the world and even though the USA is spiritual Babylon, even when the kingdom of Judah went into captivity to Babylon, they had to learn the language and some of the Old Testament is written in the native Babylonian language. I think there is a lesson in this. I am not suggesting that you stop speaking Hebrew, just allow those of us who are not feeling led to do so to be accepted as we are. If you do, then I would be most grateful to stay a part of this site and help in any way that I can to get the message out.

God has spoken to me quite independently about many of the things that you guys have brought together into one faith. Though He has taken me beyond where you are in some, there are things that He has revealed to me more recently that you appear to have known for some time. It may be that I am one of the ‘missing links’ to getting things rounded out in preparation for the upcoming trials and return of Christ. I am certain that you guys know things that I do not know and I am interested in learning what God is speaking to you, so that we can all come together in these end-times. God has given me a relative timeline for these end-time events and we are at a critical juncture. I have been praying that God would reveal other 'hidden' people with like minds and hearts. I am hopeful that this group is one of the answers to my prayers. If anyone wants to know what God has spoken to me, He had me make it freely available to the public at either www.perfectchristian.110mb.com or http://perfectchristian.hostrator.com, (no www in the latter url). I am not looking for followers or to be divisive, just fellow leaders who want to become perfected in Christ before the soon coming great tribulation. I invite anyone who wants to teach me what you have heard from God through the Holy Spirit to contact me and discuss these things with me. I am excited to learn what God is telling His prophets in this end of the age.

    Be blessed,

    Dr. Ray

p.s., I am new at these forum discussions and have stepped on toes before, so please be patient with me, it is only because I am excited for what God is doing in the earth, what He has shown me and the pressure that the Holy Spirit is putting on me to get the word out.

Thank for your efforts here, your observations are spot on, but I think this group more mature and should stay active. The flash in the pan efforts of the one man cyber denominations will settle out after time. I will try to stay more involved, I guilty of losing track of my memberships, including my wife's group..ooops.

Thank you for your input, Ray. Don't worry, we don't 'expect' anyone to speak Hebrew - I hope we are never that chauvanistic - but we do recommend that people learn some Hebrew so that the scriptures come alive and more meaningful. And I agree, English is the main language of communication internationally but don't want to be so snobbish (as an Englishman) to insist that it is in any way superior. Having lived in many countries and picked up some languages (some more than others), it actually irritates me when people assume that one language or another is 'superior' to another - they're all corrupt, and even our beloved Hebrew has evolved and acquired alien (sometimes pagan) words in its vocabulary. The important thing is that we communicate and seek a common heart of truth in Yah'shua/Jesus. We are no "ultramessianic" and we're not antinomian (lawless) either. Here we stress the heart of truth before the letter of truth. So don't worry, you will not be judged by the leadership here, at any rate, Dan, even if we do have some disagreements. The important thing for us is that you love Yah'shua and His Word with all your heart and seeking to do what is right. That is why born-again Evangelicals and Messianics are heartily welcome.

Good to see you back, Keith. Am I to understand that machiera got lost in the pile too? ;) If so let me know which of your two nics you wish to keep! Yes, the one man cyber denominations continue to multiply and people are spreading themselves out so thinly now that they have very little substantial time for any of them. Though we're a 'broad church' in some areas we are pretty strict in others, with a view to encouraging the pure in heart from both evangelical and messianic wings to find common purpose and to build from there. We take people where they are and accept them in what we hope to be the true spirit of our Master.

There are a lot of people who have been "out in the wilderness" for a long time and it does take time to socially adjust being around and with others who have been the same and acquired some theological and temperamental quirks along the way. Better some colourful though occasionally dissonant theological voices than a monotanous monochrome theology and spirit hammered out by overzealous biggotry.

We have a lot to learn from one another - let's continue to share and grow in respectful tolerance of diversity within the parameters of our House Rules (see main page): Protestant Canon, Divinity of Messiah, no chauvanism, no Jesus- or Yah'shua-bashing, and no lashon hara (evil-speaking of others). Whilst we have a very well hammered out theology we're not here to ram it down anyone's throats but to present it for prayerful consideration.

We hope that you will all thrive here - your comments have been much appreciated and are encouraging. Shalom to you all.
