An Historical Paper
The following document was produced following the disorganisation of the Independent Church of Jesus Christ in 1992. It is a brief history of that organisation with some statistics.
Historical Overview
27 Jun 1984: Revelation received to organise the Church of Christ (C&C 0).
21 Nov 1986: First congregation of the "Independent Churches of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints" organised in Oxford, England which functioned like a Restoration Christian Fellowship (RCF).
06 Apr 1988: CHEVRA B'QOR (Church of the Firstborn) restored in Oxford, England.
CHURCH OF CHRIST (Independent Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day saints) restored in Oxford, England with a First Presidency.
RCF's integrated fully with Church of Christ
20 Aug 1988: Church relocated with headquarters in OSLO, NORWAY.
Brief period without a First Presidency
06 Apr 1991: Church of Christ officially renamed "INDEPENDENT CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST" by the 6th Annual General Conference in Lønstrup, Denmark.
06 Apr 1992: Church of Christ renamed "THE NEW COVENANT CHURCH OF JESUS CHRIST" by revelation.
16 Apr 1992: The CHURCH OF CHRIST is rejected and disbanded in Bergen, Norway, during the 7th Annual General Conference (NC&C 348).
