Q. No matter how hard I look, I can't seem to find any films for my family to see that don't somewhere contain pagan and occultic invocations of demons. I've even been told that the Vulcan peace sign in the Star Trek series is one. Is that true?

The Vulcan "peace sign" which consists of a hand signal with a flattened hand with the fingers joined together but with the fourth and fifth digits separated, is utterly demonic and is related to the satanic cornuto symbol which appeared on at least one of the Beatles' musical albums along with notorious Satanist Aleister Crowley. It is used by Vulcans like Mr.Spok in Star Trek and is usually accompanied by the invocation "Live Long and Prosper". However, it means the very opposite.

Vulcan was a sun deity who was associated with fire, thunderbolts and light. The festival in honour of him was called the Vulcania in which human sacrifices were offered. According to Diel, he bears a family relationship with the Christian devil. Vulcan is adored in Masonry under the name of Tubule Cain. In the Masonic Quiz Book the question is asked: "Who was Tubule Cain"? and the answer is given, "He is the Vulcan of the Pagans". Tubule Cain is the is the name of the password for the Master Mason (third) degree. Occultist and Mason, Manly Paler, says:

"When the Mason learns that the key to the warrior on the block is the proper application of the dynamo of living power, he has learned the mystery of his Craft. The seething energies of Lucifer are in his hands and before he may step onward and upward, he must prove his ability to apply energy. He must follow in the footsteps of his forefather, Tubal-Cain, who with the mighty strength of the war god hammered his sword into a ploughshare".

The Star Wars movies are saturated with New Age ideas about spirituality, the notorious "force" with its 'light' and 'dark' sides is no more than a covert reference to white and black magic (two sides of the same devilish coin). The movies have now reached a new nadir in occult corruption in the latest Harry Potter films which is raw Satanism. By comparison, Star Wars and Star Trek seem tame, yet they, and other films were precursors to it. In the arena of Science Fiction, Battlestar Galactica is probably the closest you will get to "Gospel" though it is tainted by the beliefs of its Mormon author in its references to a home planet called "Kobol" (Kolob in the LDS system, the home of their god Ahman).

Almost everything we see on TV and in the cinema these days contains either violence, promiscuous sex, bad language, evolutionism, or occultism in different mixtures, even in the "mildest" films and programs. And it is getting worse and worse. Monitoring these is becoming a nightmare for diligent parents and is leading many of them to get rid of this type of entertainment altogether. Even mature Christian adults, who are better able to screen these materials, find themselves subconsciously affected at times and are realising that maybe now is the time to say "enough is enough". We have no TV in the Chavurat Bekorot (Holy Order) and such materials as are retained are carefully controlled. Even the latter is proving a challenge and requiring constant re-evaluation.

Our homes are under demonic assault through the broadcasting media as in no other time in recent history. If we are going to interface it, we need not only to be prayer-covered (so that we can discern the spirits) but also informed. This means knowing your enemy, and knowing him well. Part of the education of the Elders and Eldresses in NCCG includes sensitising them to the occult and what it really is so that they can recognise and deal with it. We are entering an occultised and demonised world - an era of complete and utter darkness not unlike the world Noah knew before Yahweh sent the floods to obliterate it. You too must prepare for that, for a second judgement is about to strike.
