What is the Solution to the
Confusion in Christendom?
NCW 71, May - June 2001
Q. I seem to look thru websites like yours and learn more about the falsehoods of mine because you give me alternative interpretations or a study that is not available within my church. Conversley, it seems that where ever I go, there is a multitude of instruction based on what the other guy is doing wrong so I may never really know all the truth but I seem to be getting alot of instruction as to what each group I seem to look at is doing wrong. What is the solution to the confusion?
A. I do sympathise with your deliemma of knowing what is right and not. However, this really ought to be seen as a blessing from the Lord to encourage you into even deeper Bible study so that you may find out the truth for yourself. In the final analysis is is not a question of whether you believe NCCG.ORG or any other website, but what the Holy Spirit shows you. But if you believe that the Bible is internally harmonious, that nothing should be ommitted, ignored, or concealed, then persistent prayerful study will reveal the truth in terms of the Whole. It is, I agree, perplexing trying to understand individual doctrines, especially when there are so many different and contradictory schools of thought. But once you sweep aside all the tradition and denominational agendas and allow the Word to speak for itself, remembering also to lay aside personal prejudice too (for that is undoubtedly the worst of our foes), then the beauty and harmony of the Whole begins to shine through. But not before.
There are many wonderful Christian websites on the net which major in certain areas. What is needed now is one that majors in all the doctrines of the faith and brings them together into one harmonious whole. NCCG.ORG attempts to do that.
I wish I could offer you a short cut! This just happens to be the time in the Christian Church's history when the wheat is being separated from the tares, and the false being clearly exposed by the true. NCCG.ORG has been in this process for some time time, and we are still learning. However, we are reassured by the confirming witness along the way that all the pieces compliment and enhance the others.
