Q. NCCG teaches that fallen angels bred with humankind in the period before the flood. Do you think the presence of nephilim-like characteristics like giants with twelve fingers shows that (a) nephilim genes survived the flood, or that (b) the nephilim continued breeding with humans afterwards?

A. It has always been our view that nephilim genes survived the flood through one or more of the wives of Noah's sons. We admit, though, that this is entirely speculative. In view of the fact that the nephilim continue to mingle with men and, in recent times, abduct them for genetic and reproductive experimentation, I think that either view could be correct, and possibly even both. I think we will be shocked, one day, when we learn of the extent of nephilim meddling with the human genome. Little wonder that the Lord is forced to intervene and bring the human race to a conclusion a second time to ensure we are not entirely eradicated by fallen angels and demon-inspired men.
