The Transformed Life
Becoming His Image
by Avah Batyah
The world is broken, nothing at all like the perfectly-tuned placed Yahweh created. The same can be said of us - we are broken and fallen.
When Adam sinned, he got cut off from Yahweh, he got cut off from Ahavah (Love), which is the nature of Yahweh, the image of Yahweh and everything that Yahweh created him to be, and he became a god unto himself - self-centered, self-justified, self-protected and self-defended.
When he got cut off from Ahavah (Love), he became in desperate need of Ahavah (Love) - that is what we were born into, and add to that an enemy that seeks our destruction. Why? Because we were created in the image of Yahweh, and Satan's biggest fear is that we will learn the emet (truth) of what that entails, because he knows that once we see past the deception, our lives will explode with transforming power.
I certainly want that, don't you? But how in the world do we find that?
We weigh our value based on our performance or lack there of and then our identity is weighed by the life we've lived instead of what He created us for.
Yahweh is Ahavah (Love), and everything flows from the wellspring of who He is. He never loses sight of who He has created us to be. He knows what is possible if we would ever yield, surrender and repent. He never takes His eyes off of that emet (truth).
This is why Ahavah (Love) never fails, because it never took sight off of what our destiny is, our potential and our future in Him.
Yahweh knows what we look like when He dwells inside us and we are yielded - we know what we look like without Him and so Ahavah (Love) seems like a mystery.
Why would He love me? Because He made us for His image and His image is Ahavah (Love).
We have been taught that the cross was because of our sin - when the truth is - it was because of our VALUE. "Let Us make men in our Own image" (Gen.1:26).
He didn't die on the cross to expose our sin, He died on the cross to remove our sin!
To enable us to return to Him, He removed our sin, to enable us to live the life He created us for, to be transformed into His likeness - His image - walking in the fullness of His Ahavah (Love).
He personally bore our sins that we might die (cease to exist) to sin and live to righteousness (1 Pet.2:24).
He took care of the things that have owned us our whole life! Did you hear that? He took care of all of our bondage and struggles - our sin - and He crushed it!
So we can throw out every lie the enemy whispers in our ear! Because when we yield to Him, Ahavah (Love) - His Ahavah (Love), His very nature - never fails and we change dominions!
For sin shall not (any longer) exert dominion over you, since you are not under the Torah (Law) (as slaves) but under grace (as subjects of Yahweh's favor and mercy).
If the Law - the Torah - was to point out our sin, when we come to, surrender and yield to Yahweh, we are no longer under that Torah (Law), but under grace. HOWEVER, that does not do away with the Law - the Torah - because He is the living, breathing embodiment of Torah, He is the Davar (Word), and if we were created in His image and everything flows from the wellsprind of who He is, which is perfect Ahavah (Love), that also includes the Law - the Torah - because if we love as He loves, we must also live as He lives (Rom.6:14). The Torah becomes our lifestyle in Him!
