Anything can be genetically modified if they want to do it - it boils down to whether they can make a profit out of it or not and whether it will aid their overlords in their quest for control. We'd be hard pressed to produce an Edenic crop in the far north here.

The challenge is to get hold of uncontaminated seed and use it. The trick is that if your plants get fertilised by air-carried pollen from a genetically modified plant, then the resultant seed contains THEIR patented genes which YOU must then pay for. A lot of farmers have been bankrupted because of such law suits - for one thing the farmer can't prove that they haven't stolen the seeds they use since it contains patent genes.
The abomination is that men are claiming to own nature which belongs to the Creator. It is utterly wicked on multiple counts. I do believe that these people intend to trigger a worldwide famine and use this, in conjunction with laboratory-manufactured diseases, to reduce the world population by 80% as stated by their plan.
Corporations not only own the seed and food we need to survive but I know for a fact that the government also owns the WATER too - this means that in some states it is ILLEGAL to collect rainwater - you have to get it through the grid which is controlled by the government who camn add whatever chemicals they want to it too.
