Doesn't the US have a code of behaviour for members of government, debarring such who have a criminal record? If not they should (as should all governments).

You know they do not like to talk about that. But you know what? They reflect the values of most of the population today, even church folk. See, we often have this high standard for our neighbor, but a much lower standard and losts or "reasons why" for our own behavior. I think Jesus said it was something like a mote and a speck syndrome. Right?
The mistakes of the congress are excusable among themselves unless it becomes expedient to use the faults of others to gain political advantage. Then the have no problem doing a character assasination on their opposition. I find that happens in church quite often as well.
We live in a country that is hell bent on removing God from society and government. So God has taken His hand off our nation. What you see is what you get. It gets worse as it goes along.
If it were not for prayer, the whole thing would seem hopeless, in and out of church.

I am aware of much of the corruptness in our country's political system.
Most Americans are not because of false media - again, controlled.
Indeed, "following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that is now at work in the sons of disobedience--" Eph, 2:2
But our God is in control!
But Yah'shua, t'he God of Peace, will soon crush Satan under our feet. Rom.16:20.
