    Patriarchinity Preface

    Patriarchinity Preface

There is a lot of confusion and disagreement over what exactly is the true nature of the “Godhead.” This has been a point of contention in centuries past and it remains a dividing issue even now.

In my own journey of faith, I was drawn to the Messianic movement that had recently gained momentum in the late 1990’s. The Messianic movement consisted of a motley assortment of believers-- all who were questioning what they had previously been taught. Some had wonderful insights, and had cleared up for me many of the itching questions I had had for many years. Others spewed out desolate teachings, that in my soul I knew were wrong, but could not immediately rebut. So as I searched for fellowship with like-minded believers, it soon became clear that there was much more division (and sometimes more treachery) within Messianicism than there was within Christianity. It is this situation that made this book a necessity.

A very important question: Do we desire to have the same kind of belief and praxis as the 1st Century believers or not? If we do, and believe the first century believers to be the closest to the Savior and His teachings, and if we believe their understanding to be the most accurate, then we should be desiring to believe and and live like they did.

So as we grapple with this heavy topic of the “Godhead”, it may be helpful to look at an account where some believers had their understanding adjusted and expanded by another believer.

    Maaseh Schlichim/Acts 19:2-6
2 He [Shaul/Pallu] said to them, "Have you received the Ruach
HaQodesh when you believed?" And they said to him, "We
have not even heard whether there is any Ruach
    HaQodesh
    ".
3 And he said to them, "Into what then were you
immersed?" And they said, "Into Yochanan the Immerser's
    immersion."
4 Then said Shaul, "Yochanan the Immerser truly immersed
with the immersion of repentance, saying to the people, that
they should believe on Him who should come after him,
    that is, on Moshiach Yehoshua."
5 When they heard this, they were immersed in the Name
    of the Master Yehoshua.
6 And when Shaul had laid his hands upon them, the
    Ruach HaQodesh came on them
    ; and they spoke with
    tongues, and prophesied.

This passage dealt with general concept of the Ruach HaQodesh's existence.
    Five protocols we can learn:
    A. When they said that they never heard of the Ruach HaQodesh, Shaul/Pallu did not call them "heretics" and expel them till they repent. But instead, he found out where they were at, and then continued to present a fuller understanding.
    B. When Shaul/Pallu asked them if they'd recieved the Ruach HaQodesh, they did not call him a "pagan polytheist" and cast him out of their presence for indicating that there is another Supernatural Being in in conjunction with YHWH.
    C. They did not accuse Shaul/Pallu of having a "private interpretation" when he spoke to them of the reality of the Ruach HaQodesh.
    D. When Shaul/Pallu laid his hand upon them for them to receive the Ruach HaQodesh they did not call him a "heretic" or "practicer of magic" nor did they expel him away from their assembly.
    E. They did not hinder themselves by remaining shackled by the religious establishment's limited understanding of Elohim.

    May we all be teachable.

The kind of faith we live is, I firmly believe, influenced dramatically by our belief in the Elohim-head/Godhead and how we view it. Every perversion of it has led to murderous religious institutions, whether of the hand or of the spirit. A familial structure, but its very nature, is constantly expanding, and its driving force is improvement and betterment of each generation, where fathers want their sons, and mothers their daughters, to exceed them. This love-imperative is what I have called the "multiplication principle" for love propagates and multiplies. YHWH's Great Heart wants love to multiply and expand throughout the Cosmos and for His children, released to free agency, to find its way home. He is in every sense of the word "Family".

In strictly monotarian systems everything reduces to the Father who stands alone and becomes progressively more brutal. In polythesistic systems there is always competition among the "gods" and what results is a giant battle of egos. Then there's all the strange stuff inbetween. All-male Trinitarianism with Mary thrown in as a fourth Elohim to add some femininity (Catholicism) and a Heavenly Mother thrown in for the same (Mormonism). In reality, though, the 'Mary' of Catholicism is a rival pagan deity and is Matriarchal (what could be higher than the 'Mother of God'?). The Mormon Heavenly Mother is just a breeding machine. All the while the Ruach is some sort of "second father" principle: and what do you get when there are two fathers and no mother? What kind of a 'son' is raised by such?

Finally, you have the harshness of Islam's and Judaism's monotarian 'God' and all-male totalitarianism. We have seen the fruits. We are seeing them today.

The Elohim or Powers of Heaven are a love-multiplying family to which we are grafted in as little elohim along with the faithful malakim/angels. Family is glorious!

    Amein, well said brother.

Sometimes, I've even heard Roman Catholics (who don't know their doctrine all that well) make the claim that Mary is the Holy Spirit.

The early fundamentalist Mormons under Brigham Young taught that their founder, Joseph Smith, was the Holy Ghost, and that this suppsedly accounted for his inspiration and prophethood while he was in the flesh (ignoring his many blunders). It seems there is no end of RhQ claimants. The time has come to set the record straight and I am glad to see that you have entered the fray with your excellent book that accords little manoeverability for those who insist on continuing to misidentify the Third Person of the Elohimhead/Godhead. I hope your book gets a wide circulation in the Messianic movement and that you will consider writing an 'evangelical' version too that perhaps uses a popular Bible version used by them (like NKJV or NIV). I believe that once we have the Elohimhead correct it drastically reduces the possibility for theological error in other areas too.

yes, as soon as the final chapter (13) is completed, (YHWH willing), I'll be making a more digestible version for the general public/Christians, probably with the NKJV. Not yet sure if I should just substitute the Name in place of "Lord", Elohim in place of "God", etc. or use brackets with the correction next to them:
    LORD [YHWH]
    God [Elohim]
    God [Eloah]?

I would use brackets as you did at the end of your post. It's accurate whilst showing respect.
