7 Qualities of a Good Leader

    Posted by Lev/Christopher on April 15, 2009 at 7:30am
    in Pastoral Group

    1. A good head to be able to evaluate the quality of ideas and
    suggestions presented to him.

    2. A good heart to be able to be compassionate and fair with the
    people.

    3. A good spirit to be able to hear the voice of God. Some paths
God will lead you down don't make head and heart sense at the
    time.

    4. A good eye to be able to see things other people cannot.

    5. A good tongue to be able to communicate the vision to the
people and motivate them to follow.

    6. A good hand to be able to do the things that need to be
done. Knowing the right way is not the same as doing it.

    7. A good foot to set an example for the people. A minor flaw
can outshine a major mission in the eyes of small minds.

    Shalom,
I was wondering what your views are regarding the domination of pastoral leadership on the so called Christian Church in America and many other places? If the saints still need training for the work of the ministry, do we not need the other leadership roles serving the Body of Yeshua? (Eph 4:11)
    Thank you.

    Lahry

First of all, I believe that all are called to ministry, men and women, in their respective spheres and with overlapping. The Pastoral ministry is certainly critically important but without the other leadership rĂ´les stipulated in scripture (such as the prophetic and apostolic) you're going to end up with every pastorate (eventually) becoming its own denomination. Having said that, there are, of course, all sorts of counterfeit pretenders to the prophetic and apostolic. This topic is covered extensively in various articles and sermons on the main website which you might like to sift through.
