20. Orthodox Christianity and the Torah
Posted by Lev/Christopher on November 2, 2008 at 10:18am in Messianic FAQ
If only all Christians would acknowledge what the New Testament says about Torah: "Think not that I am come to destroy the law (Torah), or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law (Torah), till all be fulfilled." (Matthew 5:17-18). "But this I confess unto thee, that after the way which they call heresy, so worship I the God of my fathers, believing all things which are written in the law (Torah) and in the prophets" (Acts 24:14). Judging by the way some Christians speak about the Torah you would think it was from the devil himself.
