A place to discuss and share information and experiences about homeschooling and home education, and how to prepare for the times when it becomes illegal

Shalom and welcome to the group. We have been homeschooling our children (in Sweden) now for a number of years and had big battles with the kommun and courts. It is much more difficult than in the UK and USA and there are moves here by the new government to make homeschooling illegal just as it is in Germany. We need much prayer here to keep homeschooling open.
We have two websites on homeschooling - one which is general at http://nccg.org/education/index.html and one which is specific to Sweden (in English and Swedish) which is currently offline (I am planning to put it online but possibly only accessible to friends of homeschooling) detailing our struggles to be recognised. After numerous threats to close us done we do finally have a prety good working relationship with the kommun now that they see that we are a serious operation and that our educational standards are high.
We work in cooperation with a homeschooling organisation in the UK which is American in origin called TEACH which works well for us as it is Christian-orientated.
I am a retired educator by profession so I supervise everything.
I believe the "powers that be" both here in Sweden, the UK and elsewhere want homeschooling abolished so it is important that we share knowledge and coordinate activities. There are very few homeschoolers here in Sweden, some are secular, most are Protestant - we have not met any Messianics yet.
