Pope denounces failure to chart new climate treaty

VATICAN CITY – Pope Benedict XVI has denounced the failure of world leaders to agree to a new climate change treaty by saying world peace depends on the responsible safeguarding of God's creation.

Benedict issued the admonition in a speech Monday to ambassadors accredited to the Vatican.

The pontiff criticized the "political resistance" to chart a new treaty during last month's negotiations in Copehnagen and said he hoped upcoming discussions would bear more fruit.

Benedict said the issue is critical for island nations and in places like Africa, where the battle for resources results in wars. He called for a "rechanneling" of agricultural efforts in Afghanistan and Latin America to fight the drug trade.

He said "to cultivate peace, one must protect creation!"

His main concern is being hooked up with the new world order. The treaty he speaks of is part of that process, and he knows it. Of course he supports it. Do you really think he's interested in climate concerns?

You are absolutely right on the mark. The Pope could'nt care less about the climate. As far as I understand it he wants his world government and the climate treaty is just part of the means to achieve that end.

The first objective of the papacy is to be recognised as king-makers as it was in Holy Roman Empire times - the pope wants a a union between the EU and the papcy so that the RCC can get temporal power back again in Europe. That's why the RCC supports the Gore Agenda. World Government is the longer term objective.

I saw that a local Norwegian protestant church is campaigning to be known as a "green church", which I think is indicative of things we have seen before and we'll be seeing much more of.
Sin-tolerant, all-inclusive, green, gay marriage friendly churches - puppets of the atheist/communist states.
