Pleasant Words are Like Honeycomb, Sweetness to the Soul and Health to the Bones (Prov.16:24)
Posted by Lev/Christopher on January 13, 2009 at 10:21am in Discipleship
ALWAYS PLACE YOURSELF IN SOMEONE ELSE’S SHOES. YOU DO NOT KNOW WHEN YOU WILL GET INTO THE SAME SITUATION AND WANT SOMEONE TO BE THERE FOR YOU AND UNDERSTAND WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH.
SOMETIMES YAHWEHPLACES THINGS INTO YOUR LIVES TO WAKE US UP. SOMETIMES WE NEED TO STOP, LOOK AND LISTEN AND JUST SAY TO OURSELVES “IF THAT WAS ME IN THAT SITUATION I WOULD OF WANTED SOMEONE TO BE THERE FOR ME AND UNDERSTAND.
WE MIGHT BE HIGH UP IN THE CLOUDS ONE DAY BUT YAHWEH CAN HIT US SO HARD THAT WE FALL RIGHT DOWN TO THE LEVEL WE DO NOT WANT TO BE.
LOOK INTO SELF SOMETIMES AND ASK DID I DO THE RIGHT THING!!!!
Yah'shua tells us to love Yahweh and love others. He seems to assume we will love ourselves — want the best for ourselves — and want to take care of ourselves. The trick is to want to love — take care of — and want the best for others, also.
This shouldn’t be too hard to figure out. If you want people to listen to you, listen to them. If you want people to applaud you, applaud them. If you want to be recognized, recognize someone. If you want people to take you seriously, take them seriously.
If you’re getting hungry, then you can assume that others around you are probably hungry too. How else did Yah'shua know to take care of feeding the crowd he had been speaking to all day except that he was hungry himself? You could go as far as to say that this is precisely why we have needs, so we can understand and deal with the needs of those around us.
THE TONGUE CAN BE A DANGEROUS TOOL. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU SAY!!!
AN ANXIOUS HEART WEIGHS A MAN DOWN, BUT A KIND
WORD CHEERS HIM UP.
( PROVERBS 12:25 *NIV )
It is important for a Child of Elohim to be very careful
of the words we speak! For our Savior Yah'shua the Messiah said:
"NOTHING OUTSIDE A MAN CAN MAKE HIM UNCLEAN BY
GOING INTO HIM, RATHER IT IS WHAT COMES OUT OF A
MAN THAT MAKES HIM UNCLEAN." ( MARK 7:15 )
WITH THE TONGUE WE PRAISE OUR
MASTER AND FATHER, AND WITH IT WE CURSE MEN, WHO
HAVE BEEN MADE IN ELOHIM'S LIKENESS. OUT OF THE
SAME MOUTH COME PRAISE AND CURSING. MY
BROTHERS, THIS SHOULD NOT BE. ( JAMES 3:9-10 )
So, choose your words carefully and remember
that positive words bring positive results, while negative words
always bring negative results!
Be careful of the words you speak,
And keep them soft and sweet!
For you never know from day to day,
Which words you'll have to eat!
