Paul and 1 Corinthians 8,9, and 10
Posted by Cindy Dunlop on August 16, 2009 at 9:13am in Deliverance, Psychiatry & Demonic Oppression
Hello All,
I want to thank Christopher for his work here.
I was directed here by the Holy Ruach to remove the unclean forces that
were hindering my prayer life.
In just a week I have experienced deliverance on many fronts.
I have asked the Ruach to show me other things/events/people I need to deal with and have received numerous answers.
I was unaware of Deliverance "in the present". I had always thought about it as a one time event when you were sealed and then, of course, at the resurrection. I realize different now.
I was reluctant to "use" His blood since that would make our relationship hugely personal. But, there was no other way. And so, His blood has delivered me.
To the question I have about Paul.
He seems to contradict himself on the issue of meat offered to idols.
I understand he does not want to cause a brother to stumble.
But, he seems to use conscious and spreading the Good News as the defining factor instead of pleasing the Father.
1 Cor 8:10
You see, this is what can happen: Weak Christians who think it is wrong to eat this food will see you eating in the temple of an idol. You know there's nothing wrong with it, but they will be encouraged to violate their conscience by eating food that has been dedicated to the idol.
1 Cor 10:20
No, not at all. What I am saying is that these sacrifices are offered to demons, not to God. And I don't want any of you to be partners with demons.
Maybe the translations are poor?
Thanks, Cindy
