Or will they continue to attach themselves to the supetr rich class who, with few exceptions (there are, of course, some righteous philanthropic rich people), have attained their positions by graft, or will the Ruach touch their hearts to fork out? We will see.

Sadly, you are right about the carnality of believers across the entire spectrum of denominations. So I am not exactly surprised by the conversation by pastor's wives which you overheard. I don't think they have an idea how radical a change in the standard of living is going to result in the USA - if the $ collapses (whether in February as some predict or later) and is replaced by the Amero (the currency has been minted since 2007 and trillions have been shipped to China already), citizens probably won't get more than 2 cents on the $ for their savings - a reduction in standard of ~98%. And I would not at all be surprised if the € Euro doesn't meet the same fate.

I believe this year may well be a major reality check and see the elimination of the middle class. And when the middle class is eradicated, this is always an index of dictatorship. Then a tiny super-rich élite will rule the impoverished masses.

Years ago, I attended a woman's convention, and we broke up in groups and in my group was several christian pastor's wives, and we was talking about survival, and these ladies was more concerned about if they would have air conditioning then they was their souls. I learned alot that day just by sitting back listening to them talk about what mainly concerned them, and as pastor's wives I was surprised that there was a lack of spirituality in them. These are the flesh pleasers.
