Was not the authority granted "from above" (Elohim), and thus He being the "greater sinner"?
What are the implications?

I don't think Elohim is a sinner, but I think Yeshua is telling us that if the scenario he presents is accurate and no information is missing, that Elohim actually would be a sinner, were it not for some other piece of information, which he purposefully leaves out. We are supposed to agree with Yeshua when he says YHWH would be a sinner under this scenario, BUT that there is another piece of information that changes our perspective.

The geater sin was on Pilate who failed to carry out his duty to prevent Yah'shua's murder. But even greater was the sin of Judah's betrayal, since it would have been better if he had never been born -Mt.25:24 - since he knew who He was and that He was guiltless.

But Yeshua is saying this to Pilate, telling Pilate that the greater sin is on him who delivered Yeshua to Pilate, from above.

Jesus answered, `Thou wouldst have no authority against me, if it were not having been given thee from above; - that is Yahweh


because of this, He who is
delivering me up to thee hath greater sin.' - this is Judah - ythe KJV translators have erred in capitalising the H. Also the Aramaic says: "Because of this, that man's sin that delivered me to you is greater than yours" (HRV)
