    How to Live Biblically?

My apologies for rambling but I feel this must be said. Before I moved out of my parents home, I was studying every possible form of Christianity and reading the Bible obsessively. I came to the conclusion that a messianic Israel/Judaic faith was the most likely to be correct, my parents however forbade me to live in accordance to the Torah which I was newly discovering. Meals and trips became uncomfortable with my refusal to eat certain foods and drink alcohol and eventually, much to my shame, I relented and starting to live a more "normal" existence. I eventually got back into Bible study which lead me, sadly, to the Mormons (long story) and now I'm back where I started wanting to reintegrate Torah principles into my life.

But how? I don't have anyone to stop me following Torah now (apart from perhaps my girlfriend!) and I know it should just be through simple dedication but it's so hard to live amongst people who attack the Biblical ideals almost constantly. How does one cope with this without being constantly exhausted defending the faith and pointing out to people what you believe? I feel sometimes that I'm just condemned to be unable to be saved without isolating myself completely. Not to mention, there's literally nobody around my area who I can fellowship with and discuss theology in a meaningful way.

Sorry for this rant! Not sure if it made sense, or if it was worth sharing!

    Thanks for sharing this.

I know that many families will be split in twain, father against son, etc - but He will also turn the hearts of the sons back to the fathers.

I know it is hard to live among people who constantly attack the Biblical ideals. They have proven their ungodliness, but for a greater purpose must be allowed to show how ungodly a people can become when abstinent from the Torah. To show how even the slaughter of unborn children can become an industrialized, standardized uncontroversial thing in the society where human minds are famished on Torah.

Satan loves to isolate us, he loves to sift and destroy believers - one simply needs to stop trying to justify one's faith and say; "I have faith, and you can accept it or not, and prove your intolerance".
It often helps to turn the modern "tolerance" arguments back at these Atheists.

A very telling modern development here in Norway, is that Christians are far more likely to support religious plurality / diversity, as well as be more friendly toward Jews and Israel - Atheists being more strictly anti-religion and opposed to non-secular Jewish ideals.
Whereas in the past, Atheists would often be very meaningful champions of actual tolerance toward Jews, they are today an embarassment in tolerating / supporting Neo-Pagan and New Age movements exclusively, whilst attacking all Abrahamic religion and tradition.

Anyway, regarding the spiritual isolation you, and perhaps most other Nazarenes suffer, it is very comparable to being a Jew or Christian in Ancient Rome - we're SUPPOSED to be going through these trials.
It's not wrong to complain about it - if we werent pained by it, it wouldt be a meaningful trial or testing for purification, now would it?

The Tribes of Israel were SCATTERED - we are living in a Diaspora, and unlike the Jews, we are unable to sum up our faith and lifestyle in a single word, that is easily recognized and usually accepted. "Judaism" is an accepted "-ism", along with (implicitly Catholic or Protestant) "Christianity", that are defendable positions to some extent, but our evolving, restorationist, Torah-keeping movement and direction apparently has to be "justified", and people generally dont know how to react.
Thus defending one's diet and such can be much harder for a Torah-observant Messianic / Nazarene / Sabbatarian Christian etc, than for a Jew.

The internet offers quite a few oppurtinites for fellowship though, and for finding words and arguments to use next time you're called upon to defend your faith.

    -Chris
