This was a very interesting film. I´v never seen such a proffesional document before. I´m not able to discuss the facts which are presented here. But there is a thought which is coming after seen this fantastic film. As it says in the film, many people feel that Yahweh is leftet out when You can explain the miracles on a sientific way. I believe this thougths is important to discuss. Why do some people react like this as even I in some degree? Is it because our faith is weak or is it because You may have a a need of believe of the "myths", the unexplained facts that You can´t prove. Yes, thats may be interesting to see what You others think, who have seen the film.

I am not saying that the scientific explanations are the correct ones but that these are the best I have seen yet and more than plausible. I learned a LOT from this film. And the fact that ALL the plagues, plus the dividing of Yam Suf, could have been caused by ONE event in Greece is even the more remarkable for only Yahweh could have carried it out AND prophesied its details, in the right order, in advance. I shall be watching it again!

Yes, the astonishing thing is that even IF Yahweh used naturalistic phenomena to create the plagues and part Yam Suf it was STILL an incredible miracle of supernatural dimensions if for nothing else because of the timing.

Somewhere I have a book by a German writer, written about 30 years ago, which attempts to do the same as these videos but I'll be blowed if I can remember the title or his name as I can't locate it in my library. I wanted to contast his research with the modern which shows the enormous strides and developments that have take place. It was a best seller amongst Christians of the time so someone might remember it.

I saw this when it came out. This is one of the great ironies of the messianic movement. We have scholarship everywhere telling us about the migration or "bread crumbs" if you will left on the path out of the land(s). Yet so called leaders are fanning the flames of exile by ignoring the vast amount of evidence for recovering context to the scriptures, opting instead for grandiose Cecil B. DeMille accounts that eclipse the reasonable and factual interpretation crying out to us from the rocks that could do so much to equip the wep's (wild eyed protestants that messianics really are) for a sure and measured path to restoration.

If you have some online sources that contain 'crumb scholarship' I should be very interested to review it.

You posted the video relating the greek connection to exodus, similar threads are found in the cultures in every direction our of Egypt from that period. Most of the information I have gleaned on this subject has been from camping out in the stacks at our local University Liraries and combing through everu volume touchiing on the subject rather than web resources. As I rebuild my office and come across the notes etc, i will post them here. Vut this is not something that is going to happen over a few weekends, it's more of an all winter project. I'm sure you're familiar with Brit-Am and other stock web resources. One thing I can offer that will help locate crumbs, is the hermeneutic of the OT, Just as the invectives from the talmud etc. use terms like Cuthians to convey rejection of people groups who are legitemately Israelite, so does the language of the OT. As it is written; Your father was an Amorite and your mother was a Hittite, the condemnations of Jebusites et al, very much refferred to the deviations found in sections of the commonwealth where in more observant times they are refferred to by yhteir Israelite tribal designations. For example Ephraim posessing far more than all of Judah is entirely redacted out of some later Judean tribal allotments found in scriupture.

It is the job of the restorationist to recover these "whole loaves" along with the crumbs left on the journey into exile. Cyrus Gordon, Robert Gray, Barry Fell and many other top drawer scholars comment on pieces of this puzzle if we know the code and can place the nomenclature back into it's Israelite context. I should be very interested to learn of your research work. Yes, I am conversant with the writings of Brit-Am, British Israel, and others and have noticed inherant biases in both. It is interesting, I think, how prejudice skews logic and distorts the conclusion of research work. For instance, both BA and BI acknowledge that the English, Dutch, and Scandinavians are of Israelite stock and yet their North European Plain forefathers or progenitors are conspicuously absent. I refer to the German people who must logically be Israelites if the English, Dutch, Swedes, Norwegians and Danes are. (For a Norwegian account of the Israelite origins of the Scandinavians, see Skandinavias opprinnelse) I have written an article on the Germans called East Manasseh and Germany: Unveiling an Israelite Tribe to correct this bias and restore a missing piece of the Israelite puzzle - this, IMO, is the ultimate 'redaction' owing to some tragic circumstances and events in the 19th and 20th centuries which has led to bloody Israelite civil war. (See my website on Prussia). This is for sure a big subject and I have only scratched in one or two corners but what I have found has been eye-opening. Our history books will all one day have to be re-written.

I don't find it unusual that Yahweh would perform miracles using natural laws . . . after all, He designed those laws! I did wonder, though, if He does that so as to test our faith. That is, leaving some room for doubt so that people can choose to obey Him or reject Him.
