What God is saying for 2010??
Personal blog posted by Lahry Sibley on January 30, 2010 at 7:16am
The following was posted in another forum. My comments imediately follow.
Chuck Pierce (prophet) and Dutch Sheets (Apostle/prophet) came to the Vineyard Church, in Albany, Oregon on January 7-9 of 2010. It was a yearly prophetic conference and accompanying the two prophets was Steve Shultz (prophet) of Elijah List and Kimberly Daniels (deliverance minister).
The following is part of a word spoken by the Lord through Dutch Sheets. He is probably the most accurate prophet we have today as far as what he has prophesied.
PART ONE
Many things are happening in 2010. However, best way to get started is quickly recap 2009. For too many folks, 2009 probably was not a stellar year. However, I have heard as many positive reports as I have negative - but this is not quickly, is it?
Two-thousand nine was the year of the “Tet,” or the Hebraic number nine. It resembles a picture of the womb, and symbolizes whatever we conceived that year would birth.
Although it was a year of travail, the most significant warning from the prophet was that we were entering into the greatest three-year crisis time of our generation. However, it was also a season of great faith when the world would begin to seek believers out. In 2009, we began an unchartered season of wilderness.
It was a season that we were to align ourselves with someone, during the birthing process, who would help bring us through the narrow place. Ask any woman who has given birth and she will tell you about the narrow place. There is much travailing and pain.
THE BAD This brings us to the present year and What is God Saying for 2010? Let’s get the bad stuff out of the way first and then get to the good stuff.
ECONOMY
The economy will tank this year. The pseudo- recovery is short lived. When? Somewhere around mid-summer or late fall is a good guess. It is just a feeling and the prophet was not prophesying a date.
There is a supernatural ability coming to get out of debt. Believe God for that ability. Christians should position themselves for God to use them when it happens.
Some of this will be because of God’s judgment on America. God is going to show us that mammon is not a good god. However, it will position us for the great awakening. So get ready for it. This is a good time to get out of the stock market.
TERRORISM
Terrorism will increase. The gap between light and darkness will increase. Violence will increase. However, this will prepare the way for God to move because people will seek us out and be hungry.
Fear will seize some hearts. They will turn to us and we will be able to say, “Here’s the Rock; here’s what we do; here’s who we turn to in times such as these.”
Jonah 2:8 says, “They that observe lying vanities forsake their own mercy.” In other words, it is then one general maxim, including all people's idols, idols of the flesh, idols of intellect, idols of ambition, idols of pride, idols of self and self-will. People "observe" them, as gods, watch them, hang upon them, never lose sight of them, and guard them as though they could keep them. Therefore, what are they? “Lying vanities,” breath and wind, which none can grasp or detain, vanishing like air into air, and what do they who so “observe” them? They all “forsake their own mercy”; i. e., God.
Luke 13:35 says, “Behold, your house is left unto you desolate: and verily I say unto you, Ye shall not see me, until the time come when ye shall say, Blessed is he that cometh in the name of the Lord.” The translators added the word desolate because in the Greek, part A of 35, ends with the word you. It made more sense to the translators. However, what God was saying is this, He was going to leave their house to their own devises.
It is what He is saying today. You’ve taken me out of your schools, your nation’s streets, and your government. You’ve removed prayer and My Ten Commandments. The Lord says; try it without me for a while. You are on your own. This is judgment.
Our part is to position ourselves when all this happens. We can then, as fishers of men, be ready with the net, we can be ready with power, be ready with deliverance, and be ready with a prophetic voice. This will begin the biggest harvest of all time.
THE GOOD
There is coming, in this season, a new level of maturity to the prophetic. We are deficient in the prophetic at this time. What with the progressive crowd, liberalism, and PC crowd, there is, to a certain extent, a fear of man and of what he thinks. Restoration will come to the prophetic in this season. The Old Testament prophet mentality is coming. There is raising a new realm of the prophetic, which will boldly proclaim the Word of God.
If the prophets do not speak the truth of God for fear of man, it is confusing to the body of Christ. We won’t know with whom to listen, especially with all the heresy and false Christ’s that will appear and the false Christ’s who are already here. There is clarity coming, in this season, a true discernment, and a new level of the spirit of revelation.
Issachar’s are coming. Ask questions. To who are they connected. Where do they come from? If what they are saying doesn’t witness to your heart, then it is more than likely not true. Listen to your spirit!
AWAKENING
There is an awakening coming. The spirit of awakening is already here. This year momentum begins and by the end of the year everyone will know that something is happening in the church.
The winds of Pentecost are going to blow again. Wells of salvation are going to spring up all over. We will have to discern quickly what to do in certain situations.
Children will come to salvation. Many healings will happen. Supernatural deliverance is coming from addictions, shame, hang-ups, and others. In this awakening we will hear again about spiritual gifts, not just prophecy. Please read my story of deliverance on my note entitled, “My Snapshot.” God supernaturally delivered me from guilt.
The Lord is coming to write on a generation, “Belonging to the Lord.”

My Comments:
Don't get me wrong Sir, I love Dutch Sheets. I think his book on Intecessary Prayer is top knotch. But the above puplished material leaves much to be desired as "Prophetic". First of all, it's non-descriptive. I especially would like to be descriptive about what he had to say about God taking His hand off of the USA because of our ungodliness, and as a nation desiring to remove God from our culture. It doesn't take a rocket scientist or a prophet to see this has been happening for years, and getting worse by the day.
As a nation we have demanded God be removed. We are no better than Haiti. We just disguise our paganism a little more carefully, and often call it "CHRISITIANITY".
As for people crying out to the remnant for help when things go sour? No, they turn to the apostasy, to pray for the safety of mammon, just like 9/11. We saw more politicians and businessmen in "prayer" than ever before. What was missing? REPENTANCE. Not one was repenting. They feared losing their weatlh, comfort, pleasure, entertainment, amusements. They were crying out for security, but there was no crying out for forgiveness. The heart of greed did not change then, has not changed yet, will not change 'till Jesus comes again just prior to the mellinium.
The winds of pentecost are NOT blowing again. The numbers in churches across this nation are dwindling. They are desperate for a new fad to bring in the numbers, ie, more cash to fuel the kingdoms of man. Fads do not equal a moving of the Holy Spirit. Those who thirst and hunger for them are those who will fall for the beast of Revelation, who comes performing signs and lying wonders. Apostasy, plain and clear. God's people hunger and thirst for righteousness. Oh many in the so called church talk about it. But how few are actually modeling it? Church has become man centered. The so called prophecy above is man centered.
Jesus said when the Holy Spirit comes, He will testify of me! Where is that testimony? Oh they talk about Him, but where are those who are willing to forsake all for obedience and holiness? Where is the cry?
Finally, that part about God providing a supernatural way of getting out of debt? Smacks of the same fleshly appeal that "pre-trib rapture" has. Escapism. The best way to get out of debt is stop using credit and pay off your bills. That's Bible and it has never changed. It will not change.
Jim, you know I love you brother. Know that my remarks are not directed at you, your heart, your intent by posting this. But a true prophet of God is 100% correct, according to Moses. Look at Samuel, Ezekiel, Elijah, and others. Do you think ANYONE on the Elisha List compares? I don't. They are an abomination to God!
Luk 16:15 And he said unto them, Ye are they which justify yourselves before men; but God knoweth your hearts: for that which is highly esteemed among men is abomination in the sight of God.
I would tremble to post what is written above and call it God said. ICABOD! That's what God said, beloved. The glory of the Lord has departed, and they don't even realize He's missing from their midst.
Humbly before Him,
Bro. Lahry
