Welcome Home

Welcome Home
There are no greater words that anyone can hear than YHVH saying, “Welcome home.” It is with those two words that the angels in heaven rejoice, and the body of the Messiah welcomes a new person in. Those who are in the body can relate to the difficulty of putting the old self to death and finally responding to the call of the Savior.
It is a step in a journey taking us from this old world to the portals of glory. With each and every step we take, we are that much closer to our promised land. Our slave work on earth to our cruel master Satan is over, and we are pitching our tents each day closer to Heaven. What once thrilled us is but a fading memory. The joys of this world are nothing compared to the joys that await us in Gloryland.
Each day can bring its share of happiness and sorrow as this world fights desperately to claim our souls. Although this world may lay claim to our mortal bodies, our souls have found release already in the arms of our loving Savior. When He has made us heirs of the Kingdom, then what more does this world hold for us? For we, as Abraham, are just strangers in a land that is not ours. But we also have a sure promise, that if we are faithful, we shall be able to sing the new song: “Thou art worthy to take the book, and to open the seals thereof: for Thou wast slain, and hast redeemed us to YHVH by thy blood out of every kindred, and tongue, and people, and nation; and hast made us unto our Elohim kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.” (Rev 5:9-10)
As we enter the Kingdom, we can proudly exclaim, “Victory!” For it is a long hard fought battle, and sadly, not all that fight with us in this battle shall make it to the end. This wilderness we walk in is littered with the souls of those who were struck down by the enemy and were not able to make it to the end. We have a promise waiting for us, if we are able to make it to the end, for Yeshua promised us, “And he that overcometh, and keepeth My works unto the end, to him will I give power over the nations”. (Rev 2:26) Sacrificing this world for the world to come, let us lift high His banner for all the world to see, that though we may be strangers and pilgrims in a hostile land, the Savior has already given us the victory. Although we are despised and rejected by the world, we shall rule and reign with our Savior over this same world who has rejected both us and most importantly, Him. Although the battle is hard and vicious at times, just remember those sweet words already uttered, which we shall hear again as we pass through those pearly gates, “Welcome Home!”
“This world is not my home I’m just a passing thru My treasures are laid up Somewhere beyond the blue
The angels beckon me From Heaven’s Open door And I can’t feel at home In this world anymore
Oh Yah, you know I have no friend like you If heaven’s not my home Then Yah what will I do
The angels beckon me From Heaven’s Open door And I can’t feel at home In this world anymore
I have a loving Savior Up in Gloryland I don’t expect to stop Until I with Him stand
He’s waiting now for me In heaven’s open door And I can’t feel at home In this world anymore
Just up in Gloryland We’ll live eternally The saints on ev’ry hand Are shouting victory
Their song of sweetest praise Drift back from heaven’s shore And I can’t feel at home In this world anymore” Words and Music by Albert E. Brumley © 1965 - Albert E. Brumley & Sons
