“This then is the message which we have heard of Him, and declare unto you, that YHVH is light, and in Him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with Him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: but if we walk in the light, as He is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Yeshua the Messiah His Son cleanseth us from all sin.

“If we say that we have no sin, we deceive ourselves, and the truth is not in us. If we confess our sins, He is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. If we say that we have not sinned, we make Him a liar, and His Word is not in us. My little children, these things write I unto you, that ye sin not. And if any man sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Yeshua the Messiah the righteous: and He is the propitiation for our sins: and not for ours only, but also for the sins of the whole world.

“And hereby we do know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. He that saith, ‘I know him,’ and keepeth not His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in Him. But whoso keepeth His Word, in him verily is the love of YHVH perfected: hereby know we that we are in Him. He that saith he abideth in Him ought himself also so to walk, even as He walked.

“Brethren, I write no new commandment unto you, but an old commandment which ye had from the beginning. The old commandment is the Word which ye have heard from the beginning. Again, a new commandment I write unto you, which thing is true in Him and in you: because the darkness is past, and the true light now shineth. He that saith he is in the light, and hateth his brother, is in darkness even until now. He that loveth his brother abideth in the light, and there is none occasion of stumbling in him. But he that hateth his brother is in darkness, and walketh in darkness, and knoweth not whither he goeth, because that darkness hath blinded his eyes.” (1 John 1:5-2:11)

People are so easily detached from the reality of Scripture. You see, it does not matter what the vast majority of people do or say, nor does it even matter what your spouse does and says, if it does not align up with the Word of YHVH, then it is nothing but a babbling tongue spewing damnable heresies. The fact is that we are to walk in the light as He is in the light - not as our wife or husband is in the light, or as our pastor is in the light. If they tells us something that is not of the Word of YHVH, then they have lied, and are not walking in the light as He is in the light.

If we abide in Yeshua, then we are to walk as Yeshua walked, talk as Yeshua talked, behave as Yeshua behaved, and live a life that is pleasing to YHVH as He did. Yes, we are going to make mistakes and sin, for we are not perfect. But if we are earnestly trying with all our mind, soul, body and strength to walk in the the light as He is in the light, then when we come to Him, repenting and confessing our sins - two different and district acts - the He is faithful to forgive us.

We are called to live a life of holiness. When you start to chop and dissect the Word of YHVH in order to come up with a doctrine that proves that what you are doing is justified, the only ones eyes that you are justified in is your own. Scripture gives witnesses that YHVH does not change. Yeshua, of whom Scripture says, “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with יהוה, and the Word was YHVH” (John 1:1), is everything that is “Thus sayeth YHVH”, and as such, Scripture also says, “Yeshua the Messiah the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.” (Hebrews 13:8)

Yeshua lived a life of holiness. YHVH has called His people to be holy as He is holy. In fact, YHVH said, “For I am YHVH your Elohim: ye shall therefore sanctify yourselves, and ye shall be holy; for I am holy: neither shall ye defile yourselves with any manner of creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth. For I am YHVH that bringeth you up out of the land of Egypt, to be your Elohim: ye shall therefore be holy, for I am holy.” (Leviticus 11:44-45) “And YHVH spake unto Moses, saying, ‘Speak unto all the congregation of the children of Israel, and say unto them, “Ye shall be holy: for I YHVH your Elohim am holy.”’” (Leviticus 19:1-2) “Sanctify yourselves therefore, and be ye holy: for I am YHVH your Elohim. And ye shall keep My statutes, and do them: I am YHVH which sanctify you.” (Leviticus 20:7-8) “Ye shall therefore put difference between clean beasts and unclean, and between unclean fowls and clean: and ye shall not make your souls abominable by beast, or by fowl, or by any manner of living thing that creepeth on the ground, which I have separated from you as unclean. And ye shall be holy unto Me: for I YHVH am holy, and have severed you from other people, that ye should be mine.” (Leviticus 20:25-26)

Over, and over, and over again YHVH calls His people to be holy as He is holy. But who are His people? You may say that this was only pertaining to Israel, or to the Levites. But first off, who is it that Scripture says is His people? “Now therefore, if ye will obey My voice indeed, and keep My covenant, then ye shall be a peculiar treasure unto Me above all people: for all the earth is Mine: and ye shall be unto Me a kingdom of priests, and an holy nation. These are the words which thou shalt speak unto the children of Israel.” (Exodus 19:5-6) Does this sound familiar to you? “Ye also, as lively stones, are built up a spiritual house, an holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices, acceptable to YHVH by Yeshua the Messiah. . .But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light”. (1 Peter 2:5,9) What else does Peter tell us? “Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Yeshua the Messiah; as obedient children, not fashioning yourselves according to the former lusts in your ignorance: but as He which hath called you is holy, so be ye holy in all manner of conversation; because it is written, ‘Be ye holy; for I am holy.’” (1 Peter 1:13-16)

Again, we see that YHVH does not change. I go over this in great detail in my book, “What is the Truth?” The Israelites had the truth, but did not worship in spirit. Christians today have the spirit, but not the truth. Yeshua said that you must worship YHVH in Spirit and in truth. One with out the other is like faith without works - it is dead. Sure, there are million if not billions of people that will give you reasons and excuses while using Scripture to tell you that a sin is alright. HaSatan did the same thing in the Garden of Eden to Eve, and so anyone who falls for this same lie is just as Eve.

So when you are shown that you believe a lie, do you become angry with your brother, falsely accusing him of things and cutting yourself off from him? If so, then you are not walking in the light as He is in the light. You are a liar and the truth is not in you when you claim self righteously that you are following Yeshua when you treat your brother so badly. I am obligated, out of love and holiness, to let a brother or sister know when they are sinning. Yeshua went around letting people know that what they were doing was sinful. Paul did the same thing. But when we do it now days, we are manipulating, and being hateful. This is how out of touch these people are with both YHVH’s reality and Word.

Remember, the truth is ugly, and the vast majority of people do not want to see this. When you stand up and hold up Scripture, you are walking in the light, and that light shows the ugliness of sin, and people will attack you, and avoid you, and say all manner of falsehoods against you all because they do not want to know Scriptural truth. Give them the full Scriptural Truth, even when they refuse to see it, because it is only through the Word of YHVH that you can reach YHVH. There is no other way.

If you wish to follow YHVH, then you will have to live a life of holiness, being separated from the world. “Thus saith YHVH, ‘Learn not the way of the heathen’”. (Jeremiah 10:2a) This is not an option. For YHVH is the one that will judge the quick and the dead, and because of this, is you refuse to live a life of holiness, for any reason that you can come up with, then you will not be judged as righteous. If you desire to keep one foot in denominational Christianity and one foot in the Kingdom of YHVH, then you will be vomited out of Yeshua’s mouth. So if you refuse for any reason to live a holy life, rejecting the Word of YHVh, then He will reject you. You must have living faith, and not just faith without any resemblance of truth.
