    Nothing to come before YHVH

Personal blog posted by Scott Ledbetter on July 20, 2009 at 10:41pm

This lesson comes from a very heavy heart, and an understanding that with this lesson, things will not be easy at all but will in fact become even more complicated for me. But YHVH has put this on my heart because it is time that His children open up their eyes and see what the enemy is doing and how that there are those parading around as believers who have put other things above YHVH. It is time that we that are in the Kingdom of YHVH wake up and understand the parable of the wheat and the tares, so that we can clearly see who the tares are.

There is nothing that is to come between YHVH and us. For He said, “I am הוהי thy Elohim, which have brought thee out of the land of Egypt, out of the house of bondage. Thou shalt have no other elohim before me.” (Exodus 20:2-3) An elohim is anything that we worship or allow to come before YHVH in any way. It may be a person of the opposite sex. It may be a sports team. It may be a movie star, or music star, politician, or even a country. Anything that is so important to us that it comes before YHVH is an elohim to us.

When I began preaching in the North Central Texas area, on the first day of the week from late summer through early winter, I knew that I had to preach a shorter morning sermon because there were many members of the congregations that were keeping an eye on the time so that they did not miss the beginning of the Dallas Cowboy’s football game. Were these people really focusing on YHVH or was their first priority the football game and the Cowboys? We refer to these people as fans, but the word fan is short for fanatics, and we should only be fanatical about YHVH.

Why do you think YHVH said this: “Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: but the seventh day is the sabbath of הוהי thy Elohim: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: for in six days הוהי made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore הוהי blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it”? (Exodus 20:8-11) YHVH wanted the people - those who called themselves His people - to focus on Him and on nothing else. He did not want to compete with the cares of the world, or a persons work, or a politician, or even a person’s favorite sports team. He wanted their full, undivided attention, so that He could have that personal relationship with them.

So when we come across something or someone that has us choose between it or them and YHVH, then you must choose who or what is your elohim. If a boyfriend or girlfriend or spouse.has you chose between them and YHVH, then you know that first off they are not of YHVH or they would not ask you to choose, and secondly that if you choose them and not YHVH, then you have put an elohim before YHVH. This also applies to your job, to your hobbies, to your relatives, or anything or anyone else.

And the Ruach HaKodesh (The Holy Spirit) will not tell you to do something that is against the Word of YHVH. That would be confusion, and the Word of YHVH says, “For Elohim is not the author of confusion, but of peace, as in all assemblies of the saints.” (1 Corinthians 14:33) So no Scripture does not contradict Itself, neither does the Ruach (Spirit) contradict the Word. YHVH will not have you deny Him to save your life. YHVH will not have you steal so that you can survive. There is no contradiction. He will not tell you to sin, or to put any other elohim before Him, at any time or any place. YHVH can not sin and neither does He have His followers to sin. So if your job, or spouse, or hobby demands of you to do something that is a sin, that goes against the Word of YHVH, then you must again choose which of the two is your elohim.

If a person comes to you and claims to be a man or woman of YHVH and tells you to do something that is a sin, you are not to follow them for they are not of YHVH. If a person comes to you and has a religious title and tells you that even though you have to choose between YHVH and something or someone that wants to come before YHVH in your life, and they tell you that choosing the latter is alright, they are not from YHVH. It goes back to confusion, and YHVH is not the author of confusion. “For such are false apostles, deceitful workers, transforming themselves into the apostles of the Messiah. And no marvel; for Satan himself is transformed into an angel of light. Therefore it is no great thing if his ministers also be transformed as the ministers of righteousness; whose end shall be according to their works.” (2 Corinthians 11:13-15) Be not deceived into thinking that just because someone appears outwardly to be a follower of YHVH that they are.

“Beware of false prophets, which come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly they are ravening wolves. Ye shall know them by their fruits. Do men gather grapes of thorns, or figs of thistles? Even so every good tree bringeth forth good fruit; but a corrupt tree bringeth forth evil fruit. A good tree cannot bring forth evil fruit, neither can a corrupt tree bring forth good fruit. Every tree that bringeth not forth good fruit is hewn down, and cast into the fire. Wherefore by their fruits ye shall know them.” (Matthew 7:15-20) If someone is telling you it is alright to sin for any reason, then they are not of YHVH. If they themselves do not follow the Word of YHVH but do as they please placing other things and people before YHVH, they are not of YHVH. There is no grey area but only right and wrong.

Yeshua told us that th would happen when He spoke in a parable about the Wheat and the Tares. “The kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man which sowed good seed in his field: but while men slept, his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat, and went his way. But when the blade was sprung up, and brought forth fruit, then appeared the tares also. So the servants of the householder came and said unto him, ‘Sir, didst not thou sow good seed in thy field? From whence then hath it tares?’ He said unto them, ‘An enemy hath done this.’ The servants said unto him, ‘Wilt thou then that we go and gather them up?’ But he said, ‘Nay; lest while ye gather up the tares, ye root up also the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest: and in the time of harvest I will say to the reapers, “Gather ye together first the tares, and bind them in bundles to burn them: but gather the wheat into my barn.”’” (Matthew 13:24-30)

This parable is one of the most misunderstood parables Yeshua gave. He even had to explain it to His Disciples. “Then Yeshua sent the multitude away, and went into the house: and his disciples came unto him, saying, ‘Declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field.’ 37 He answered and said unto them, ‘He that soweth the good seed is the Son of man; the field is the world; the good seed are the children of the kingdom; but the tares are the children of the wicked one; the enemy that sowed them is the devil; the harvest is the end of the world; and the reapers are the angels. As therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire; so shall it be in the end of this world. The Son of man shall send forth his angels, and they shall gather out of His kingdom all things that offend, and them which do iniquity; and shall cast them into a furnace of fire: there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth. Then shall the righteous shine forth as the sun in the kingdom of their Father. Who hath ears to hear, let him hear”. (Matthew 13:36-43)

Yeshua came to set up a spiritual kingdom, one not of this earth. Satan has come in, even from the beginning (see Judas) and sowed tares in with the wheat of the kingdom. The tares are the false teachers, false prophets, and those that although they profess to be the wheat, while in fact they have no place in the Kingdom and will be burning for eternity. That is why Yeshua said, “Not every one that saith unto me, ‘Adonai, Adonai,’ shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven. Many will say to me in that day, ‘Adonai, Adonai, have we not prophesied in Thy name? And in Thy name have cast out devils? And in Thy name done many wonderful works?’ And then will I profess unto them, ‘I never knew you: depart from Me, ye that work iniquity”. (Matthew 7:21-23)

So when someone who is a tare uses Scripture, twisting it to tell you to sin while supposedly obeying YHVH, then you are not to listen to that person. Even if they claim to be an angel of YHVH, if they tell you to do something other than what Scripture has told you to do, then you are to refuse to do it. “I marvel that ye are so soon removed from him that called you into the grace of the Messiah unto another evangel: which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the glad tidings of the Messiah. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other evangel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed. As we said before, so say I now again, If any man preach any other evangel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.” (Galatians 1:6-9) There is only one testimony, and it is the Word of YHVH. Everything else is a perversion. And if it is a perversion, then it is sin, and the wages of sin is death. (Romans 6:23)

Now just because I call myself something does not make it so. I have never been to France, studied the language in high school, but never have set foot on French soil. So I could call myself a Frenchman, but it would be a lie. I could say to everyone I meet that I am a baseball player since I played the sport when I was in school, but I am not a baseball player since I am not playing the sport now. When a person makes themselves out to be something they are not, they are perpetrating a fraud. Lying is a sin, and one of the seven deadly sins. So when a person claims to be in the Kingdom of YHVH and does not live or act like nor do they produce the fruit of a citizen of the Kingdom of YHVH, then they are perpetrating a fraud and lying to you.

I just mentioned citizenship to you, and I want to point something out that is very important for you to grasp. Citizenship of earthly countries only matters if you are not in the Kingdom of YHVH. We are to walk by faith and not by sight (2 Corinthians 5:7), and for those that are in the Kingdom of Heaven, then only YHVH matters to them. Nothing else is to come before Him, not our nationality, not our state or provincial origin, not our ancestry nor even our culture. None of those things I just listed will get you into the Kingdom of YHVH nor will they get you to spend eternity in heaven with YHVH. So the things of this earth need to be dim to non existent to us because the only thing that matters is the state of our spiritual health.

For those who are members of the body of the Messiah that are also known as the wheat of the Kingdom, our King is YHVH and no matter what other say or do, we lift up YHVH and live according to how He has told us to live. We have been called out of this world, which is the meaning of the Greek work ekklesia which is translated as church in the English translation. As Peter reminds us, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of הוהי: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” (1 Peter 2:9-10) We are to be different than everyone else, because everyone else is part of the body of the Messiah.

So even when there seems to be something that is ordinary and common, it can be something that if we do as everyone else is doing, it will separate us from YHVH. Before I go any further, I want us to take a look at Isaiah chapter 59. “Behold, הוהיs hand is not shortened, that it cannot save; neither his ear heavy, that it cannot hear: but your iniquities have separated between you and your Elohim, and your sins have hid His face from you, that He will not hear. For your hands are defiled with blood, and your fingers with iniquity; your lips have spoken lies, your tongue hath muttered perverseness. None calleth for justice, nor any pleadeth for truth: they trust in vanity, and speak lies; they conceive mischief, and bring forth iniquity. They hatch cockatrice eggs, and weave the spiders web: he that eateth of their eggs dieth, and that which is crushed breaketh out into a viper. Their webs shall not become garments, neither shall they cover themselves with their works: their works are works of iniquity, and the act of violence is in their hands. Their feet run to evil, and they make hast to shed innocent blood: their thoughts are thoughts of iniquity; wasting and destruction are in their paths. The way of peace they know not; and there is no judgment in their goings: they have made them crooked paths: whosoever goeth therein shall not know peace.

“Therefore is judgment far from us, neither doth justice overtake us: we wait for light, but behold obscurity; for brightness, but we walk in darkness. We grope for the wall like the blind, and we grope as if we had no eyes: we stumble at noonday as in the night; we are in desolate places as dead men. We roar all like bears, and mourn sore like doves: we look for judgment, but there is none; for salvation, but it is far off from us. For our transgressions are multiplied before thee, and our sins testify against us: for our transgressions are with us; and as for our iniquities, we know them; in transgressing and lying against הוהי, and departing away from our Elohim, speaking oppression and revolt, conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood. And judgment is turned away backward, and justice standeth afar off: for truth is fallen in the street, and equity cannot enter. Yea, truth faileth; and he that departeth from evil maketh himself a prey: and הוהי saw it, and it displeased Him that there was no judgment.

“And He saw that there was no man, and wondered that there was no intercessor: therefore His arm brought salvation unto Him; and His righteousness, it sustained Him. For He put on righteousness as a breastplate, and an helmet of salvation upon His head; and He put on the garments of vengeance for clothing, and was clad with zeal as a cloke. According to their deeds, accordingly He will repay, fury to His adversaries, recompence to His enemies; to the islands He will repay recompence. So shall they fear the name of הוהי from the west, and His glory from the rising of the sun. When the enemy shall come in like a flood, the Spirit of הוהי shall lift up a standard against him. ‘And the Redeemer shall come to Zion, and unto them that turn from transgression in Jacob,’ saith הוהי. ‘As for me, this is My covenant with them,’ saith הוהי; ‘My spirit that is upon thee, and My words which I have put in thy mouth, shall not depart out of thy mouth, nor out of the mouth of thy seed, nor out of the mouth of thy seeds seed,’ saith הוהי, ‘from henceforth and for ever.’” (Isaiah 59:1-21)

Those who turn from the wicked paths and accept the calling that YHVH has made to them, they will be hunted down as the hunter does the prey. The wicked will stalk the righteous and try their best to bring them down to defeat. There is no righteous judgment because even those who call themselves righteous and members of the called out assist the wicked in destroying the righteous. There is no intercessor because the intercessors are too busy with things that matter more to them than YHVH.

The world has busied itself with things of the world, and making sure that the laws of the world are kept that they have forgotten about YHVH. Sure they may come together once, twice, or even three times a week to speak of Him, but they do not know Him because their ways are not His ways, and His ways are shunned and attacked the rest of the week. The false witnesses line up to accuse the righteous because they do not see the wrath of YHVH and think that they are right. They even cause the righteous to be put to death because the righteous were not of them and so the righteous in the wicked’s eyes had to be wrong.

They have forgotten about YHVH because they do not want the judgment, only the mercy. They do not want to change, because they enjoy the world too much to care about ways. They seek not their brothers good, but their own good. They are too afraid to stand up for YHVH fearing that what is happening to the righteous might also befall them. They are more afraid of the world and what the world can do to them than they are of falling into the judgment of the Almighty. When they speak, they speak just as the wicked speak. When they act, they act just like the wicked act.

But the righteous judge sees all of this, and if no one will assist His people that are called by His name, then He will act, and in the process, condemns all of those that have either said nothing or who have persecuted His people. He will reward people based on their deeds and actions, and if their actions are against Him and His ways, then they shall be rewarded accordingly. He does not care that others are sinning, He only cares if you are sinning or are obeying. So when the wicked, all in the His name persecute His righteous, then they too shall be persecuted, but not by man but by YHVH.

Even Yeshua warned us, “If the world hate you, ye know that it hated Me before it hated you. If ye were of the world, the world would love his own: but because ye are not of the world, but I have chosen you out of the world, therefore the world hateth you. Remember the word that I said unto you, ‘The servant is not greater than his master.’ If they have persecuted Me, they will also persecute you; if they have kept My saying, they will keep yours also. But all these things will they do unto you for My names sake, because they know not Him that sent Me. If I had not come and spoken unto them, they had not had sin: but now they have no cloke for their sin. He that hateth Me hateth my Father also. If I had not done among them the works which none other man did, they had not had sin: but now have they both seen and hated both Me and My Father. But this cometh to pass, that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, ‘They hated Me without a cause.’

“But when the Comforter is come, whom I will send unto you from the Father, even the Spirit of truth, which proceedeth from the Father, He shall testify of Me: and ye also shall bear witness, because ye have been with me from the beginning. These things have I spoken unto you, that ye should not be offended. They shall put you out of the synagogues: yea, the time cometh, that whosoever killeth you will think that he doeth הוהי service. And these things will they do unto you, because they have not known the Father, nor Me. But these things have I told you, that when the time shall come, ye may remember that I told you of them. And these things I said not unto you at the beginning, because I was with you.” (John15:18-16:4)

The wicked rejoice in the suffering of the righteous. The wicked lie and say all manner of falsehoods against the righteous, make promises and do not keep them, simply to punish the righteous for following YHVH and forsaking the world. The wicked seek not YHVH’s will, but the will of the world. So that they, while calling themselves the children of YHVH, persecute, punish, and annihilate the righteous, all the while thinking they are doing the right thing. The righteous are peculiar, so they are against the normalcy of this world, so the world hates them because the righteous show how wicked the world actually is.

The world makes laws that they selectively chose to apply to their own, but which they use specifically on the righteous to shut them up and to turn them away from YHVH and make them the slaves of Satan. The world calls themselves Christians and claim to follow Him, but in actuality what they do is that they follow the worlds laws and standards while seeking to destroy the righteous from this world. If they can not get the righteous to change by making their life hard, they will result to the legal system so as to force the righteous to give up YHVH and follow the world’s standards.

Who then will stand up for the righteous that are suffering? Who then will plead the case of those being persecuted for following YHVH. People see these suffering and turn their backs, not wanting to get entangled, too concerned about their own well being to assist the righteous. As the Savior was beaten, and imprisoned, and put to death in an effort to silence Him and to stop Him from His appointed task, so too the world does the same to those who follow Him and do as He did.

The judges and the prosecutors, the sheriff’s and the police, while claiming to be followers of Him, while pointing to how they attend church services, and the good they do, persecute the righteous and bring up charges against those that are His disciples. They point to the verse where Peter tells us, “Submit yourselves to every ordinance of man for הוהיs sake: whether it be to the king, as supreme; or unto governors, as unto them that are sent by Him for the punishment of evildoers, and for the praise of them that do well. For so is the will of הוהי, that with well doing ye may put to silence the ignorance of foolish men: as free, and not using your liberty for a cloke of maliciousness, but as the servants of הוהי.” (1 Peter 2:13-16) But if we took this passage to include every law of every land, then the countries that tell you that you must renounce YHVH and Yeshua, those laws must be followed. If you are told to have an abortion, you must do that too.

Yet in Scripture, we find that there are many times when the law of the land is in opposition to the Law of YHVH, and so His people had to make a choice as to whom to follow. When Moses’ mother put her son in the basket in the water, she chose to disobey the law of the land and obey YHVH. When the midwives refused to obey the law of the land and kill the Hebrew male children, they chose to obey YHVH over the law of the land. When Daniel was thrown into the lions den, or the three Hebrew children were thrown into the fiery furnace, they chose to follow YHVH over the laws of the land. Even when the Apostles where commanded to not speak or teach in the name of Yeshua, Peter told the authorities, “Whether it be right in the sight of Elohim to hearken unto you more than unto הוהי, judge ye.” (Acts 4:19)

When the wicked deceive the righteous all in an effort to trap them and to get them to sin, then the wicked are the ones at fault. If a police officer has to lie to get you to stop what you are doing, and Scripture says that all lying is a sin, then that police officer has to make a choice whether to follow the law of the land or follow YHVH. If they choose to lie, then they have chosen to place the law of the land before YHVH. If a prosecutor has a believer that sits before them, the prosecutor has a choice to follow YHVH’s ways or the law of the land’s commandments. YHVH says, “Dare any of you, having a matter against another, go to law before the unjust, and not before the saints? Do ye not know that the saints shall judge the world? And if the world shall be judged by you, are ye unworthy to judge the smallest matters? Know ye not that we shall judge angels? how much more things that pertain to this life? If then ye have judgments of things pertaining to this life, set them to judge who are least esteemed in the assembly. I speak to your shame. Is it so, that there is not a wise man among you? No, not one that shall be able to judge between his brethren? But brother goeth to law with brother, and that before the unbelievers. Now therefore there is utterly a fault among you, because ye go to law one with another. Why do ye not rather take wrong? Why do ye not rather suffer yourselves to be defrauded? Nay, ye do wrong, and defraud, and that your brethren.

“Know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of הוהי? Be not deceived: neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor abusers of themselves with mankind, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners, shall inherit the kingdom of הוהי. And such were some of you: but ye are washed, but ye are set apart, but ye are justified in the name of the Adon Yeshua, and by the Spirit of our Elohim.” (1 Corinthians 6:1-11)

Scripture tells us that instead of going to the unjust in the court systems, if there is a problem with a brother or sister, we are to take before a wise man in the assembly of the saints. So if a prosecutor claims to be a follower of the Messiah, then he or she can not take a believer before the court system. If a judge claims to be a follower of the Messiah, then he or she can not allow a believer to be tried in the court system. If they do, they are not believers for they are transgressing Scripture in order to obey the laws of the land.

And this is a reminder of something that is extremely important: we all have committed sin and all of us are guilty and deserving punishment. Shall we require judgment or mercy? “Judge not, that ye be not judged. For with what judgment ye judge, ye shall be judged: and with what measure ye mete, it shall be measured to you again. And why beholdest thou the mote that is in thy brothers eye, but considerest not the beam that is in thine own eye? Or how wilt thou say to thy brother, ‘Let me pull out the mote out of thine eye;’ and, behold, a beam is in thine own eye? Thou hypocrite, first cast out the beam out of thine own eye; and then shalt thou see clearly to cast out the mote out of thy brothers eye.” (Matthew 7:1-5)

So if you are called to sit in judgment of a fellow believer in a court of law in the land, then you must ask yourself the question if whether or not you would desire mercy or justice? That judge and that prosecutor is not perfect, and even they have probably had things swept under the rug because of their position, so should they be able to prosecute the righteous? If the answers are mercy and that they should not prosecute the righteous, then how can you convict a righteous person in the courts of the land?

But we should also remember what Yeshua said to a woman, who was caught in a sinful act, and brought before Him. “He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her.” (John 8:7) Before you cast that stone and say someone is guilty, if you were in their shoes, would you want someone else to cast the stone at you? She was guilty, but Yeshua showed mercy and not judgment. The judge and the prosecutor that claim to be believers, they have brought a righteous person before you and asked you to pass judgment just as the Pharisee’s did with the woman brining her before Yeshua. But His answer left everyone of those men walking away.

“And they which heard it, being convicted by their own conscience, went out one by one, beginning at the eldest, even unto the last: and Yeshua was left alone, and the woman standing in the midst. When Yeshua had lifted up himself, and saw none but the woman, He said unto her, ‘Woman, where are those thine accusers? Hath no man condemned thee?’ She said, ‘No man, Sir.’ And Yeshua said unto her, ‘Neither do I condemn thee: go, and sin no more.’” (John 8:9-11) Are we to be like our Savior and not like the Pharisees? How can someone be a believer and work in the law of the land? If we are a believer, the law of the land has no control over us. We have been set free from the chains of the laws of men into the glorious freedom of the love of YHVH. If we sit in judgment, how are we walking and living in love?

How do you know if a person is a believer or not? You will tell in the way they act, in the way they speak, and in the way they carry themselves. They are not in this world to please the world nor to do the bidding of this world. They are not here to draw attention to themselves, but to lift the Messiah up for all the world to see. They choose YHVH over everyone and everything, refusing to compromise and live like the world. They offer the Divine Love that was given to them to others. When they see a brother or sister in need or hurting, they go and minister to that brother or sister. “Let love be without dissimulation. Abhor that which is evil; cleave to that which is good. Be kindly affectioned one to another with brotherly love; in honour preferring one another; not slothful in business; fervent in spirit; serving הוהי; rejoicing in hope; patient in tribulation; continuing instant in prayer; distributing to the necessity of saints; given to hospitality. Bless them which persecute you: bless, and curse not. Rejoice with them that do rejoice, and weep with them that weep. Be of the same mind one toward another. Mind not high things, but condescend to men of low estate. Be not wise in your own conceits. Recompense to no man evil for evil. Provide things honest in the sight of all men. If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, ‘Vengeance is mine; I will repay,’ saith הוהי. Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Be not overcome of evil, but overcome evil with good.” (Romans 12:9-21)

The righteous are so few, and the wicked are multiplying. If we do not look out for the needs and cares of each other, the world will not do so. If we allow the world to deal with the righteous, the world will devour the righteous. We are in the middle of a spiritual battle, and it is a fight that we must not fail in. The battle in the end will be won, but we must stand our ground, have each others backs, and help those who have fallen. We are not to love the world, but we are to love each other. The sports teams, the homes and cars, the laws of the land will all be destroyed, and we will take none of them with us into eternity. If that is your goal in life and the reason why you live, and work, and get up in the morning, then you will be empty throughout eternity, for none of that will be with you then. If you serve the Living Elohim and joyfully work every day for Him, then you will be filled with joy throughout eternity.

If you claim to be a believer, then now is the time to live like one. No one is guaranteed one more second on this earth, and how sad it will be to enter eternity being asked, “Why did you persecute ______?” or “Why did you not help __________?” Yeshua put it very plainly in the 25th chapter of Matthew, when He spoke of the sheep and the goats.

“When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with Him, then shall He sit upon the throne of His glory: and before Him shall be gathered all nations: and He shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats: and He shall set the sheep on His right hand, but the goats on the left. Then shall the King say unto them on His right hand, ‘Come, ye blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world: for I was an hungred, and ye gave Me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took Me in: naked, and ye clothed Me: I was sick, and ye visited Me: I was in prison, and ye came unto Me.’ Then shall the righteous answer Him, saying, ‘Adonai, when saw we Thee an hungred, and fed thee? Or thirsty, and gave Thee drink? When saw we Thee a stranger, and took Thee in? Or naked, and clothed Thee? Or when saw we Thee sick, or in prison, and came unto Thee?’ And the King shall answer and say unto them, ‘Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these My brethren, ye have done it unto me.’ Then shall He say also unto them on the left hand, ‘Depart from Me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels: for I was an hungred, and ye gave Me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave Me no drink: I was a stranger, and ye took Me not in: naked, and ye clothed Me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited Me not.’ Then shall they also answer Him, saying, ‘Adonai, when saw we Thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto Thee?’ Then shall He answer them, saying, ‘Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to Me. And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.”

Which side do you want to be on - the sheep or the goats? It is entirely in your hands as to which group you will be in. When you do unto others as you would have them do unto you, then you will treat others the way you want to be treated. If you refused to place the laws of the land before YHVH, then you will not be as eager to see others punished on this earth. We should not seek punishment, but rather, allow YHVH to punish them. We are to take care of the family we are in, which is the body of the Messiah. We should never turn our backs on another.
