Isa 60:3-5
Personal blog posted by Jose Fernandez on August 24, 2009 at 3:28am
Isa 60:3-5:
3. Nations—A plain prophecy of the calling of nations.
Your dawn—Rather, "your sun-rising," that is, "to the brightness that riseth upon thee."
4. Lift up . . . eyes—Jerusalem is addressed as a female with eyes cast down from grief.
5. Look—(Isa 60:4), namely, the bringing back of your sons.
Look—With delight the multitudes of thy children running to you.
Throb—Or stand amazed.
Swell—Both with joy, and love.
The wealth—The islands on the seas, the nations, will turn to you in religion, and affection.
Brought—Rather, "be turned," instead of being turned to purposes of sin and idolatry.
The riches—Or wealth.
