Divide and Conquer
Personal blog posted by Scott Ledbetter on July 19, 2009 at 3:30pm
Nothing and no one is to come in-between you and YHVH. Not the governments laws, or the denominational laws, or the teachers who lead these denominations. There is one and only one High Priest and He sits at the right hand of the Almighty. No man or woman or institution can save you. No cultural or modern way, or teachings of science can get you into the Kingdom of Heaven.
Only the truth can lead you to the salvation to which you seek. This truth does not lie in the half-truths and perversions that are taught by men, but rather they are in the very Word of YHVH. His Son – The very Word of YHVH – said of the truth, “If ye continue in My Word, then are ye My disciples indeed; and ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:31-32) So the truth shall set you free from what? It will set you free from the bondage that the tradition of men and the rudiments of the world dictate. The Word will set you free from the life of enslavement to the doctrines of men and the edicts of religious leaders. Only by following the truth will you then discover the way of Salvation, for The Word says again, “I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by Me.” (John 14:6)
In Hebrew, the word for truth is emet (HSN 571). The Hebrew word emunah (HSN 530) means trusty, trustworthiness, and moral fidelity and is most commonly translated as faith. Both of these words come from the same root word and go hand in hand together. The Hebrew word tzaddik (HSN 6662) means just or righteous (someone who has been cleared of any wrongdoing). So how does the Scripture tell us how a just or righteous person is to live their lives? “The just shall live by his faith.” (Habakkuk 2:4b) Scripture tells us that a righteous person will live by what is trustworthy and that is the truth.
If you do not believe a government can tell people that if they do not believe a certain way that they will die, one needs only to look at the history of this world to see the fact of this. In Cambodia, the killing fields happened because those that had knowledge were a threat to those in power. This also occurred in China during the reign of Mao Zedong. Look how just for being the people of YHVH that the Israelites were to be sentenced to death in Persia (the book of Esther).
When searching out the truth, you will find that those who control the masses are often those who will pervert the truth to make sure that their control is not questioned. These people’s minds were reprobate and their seething hatred towards others are obvious to the naked eye. Constantine, the man who merged the Roman government and the so called Christian church together, passed laws advocating the death penalty for Jews who followed not his Christianity. Martin Luther wrote a book that talks about burning the Jews synagogues and schools, stealing their homes, and ridding the world of them.
To hate the Jews for putting the Lamb of YHVH to death is erroneous because the truth is that you and I put Him to death because of our sins and our need for atonement to bring us into YHVH’s kingdom. Further, it was YHVH Himself who sent Him to this earth for the sole purpose of His death. So to hate those that put the Lamb of YHVH to death means that you must hate yourself.
Perversions of the truth to justify ones own beliefs or to consolidate power to oneself have been seen even since the Garden of Eden. With the Great Lie being that what YHVH says is not what He means, then this opens a door to allow anything and everything in. One could see that already by the third century that you had so called religious leaders debating on whether Scripture meant what it said or whether it was entirely allegorical can be seen, as you look at the writings of Origin and Eusebius (who was the chosen historian to Constantine).
Taking the Scripture and changing it up between languages allows those controlling the changing to make changes of their own. Using languages that are considered dead and translating words whose meanings do not change into languages whose words do change causes people to misunderstand Scripture, and those teaching the Scripture do not make those corrections but rather continue down paths that use the new meanings of words and work backward changing the meanings of the words that do not change.
By going to The American Heritage Dictionary of the English Language, Fourth Edition, and taking a word that has changed down through the years via different languages, we can see how exactly words can mean one thing but in actuality mean something completely different. By taking the word cretin and looking at its definition, we see that it means either a person afflicted with cretinism, or as a slang term means an idiot. But when you look at the etymology of the word (study of the origins of a word), we see that in English we get the word from the French word cretin which means a deformed and mentally retarded person found in certain Alpine valleys. This word can be traced to the Swiss French word crestin which comes from the Latin word christinus and this is the word for Christian.
The fact of the matter is that when you change up words or phrases – or in the case of new manuscripts found within the last one hundred plus years where they mysteriously leave entire verses or chapters out – then you have a situation where the truth is being manipulated so it can manipulate you. Also, Scriptures are taken out of context to mean whatever one wants them to mean instead of reading what the Scripture wants them to read. This causes different people to believe different things all the while calling what each believes to be the truth.
The divisions that are here today are not new to the followers of the Messiah, and are even recorded in Scripture to tell us how spiritually deadly they are. “Now I beseech you, brethren, by the name of our Adonai Yeshua HaMashiac, that ye all speak the same thing, and that there be no divisions among you; but that ye be perfectly joined together in the same mind and in the same judgment. For it hath been declared unto me of you, my brethren, by them which are of the house of Chloe, that there are contentions among you. Now this I say, that every one of you saith, ‘I am of Paul;’ and ‘I of Apollos;’ and ‘I of Cephas;’ and ‘I of the Messiah.’ Is the Messiah divided? Was Paul crucified for you? Or were ye baptized in the name of Paul?” (1 Corinthians 1:10-13)
Divisions is the Greek word schisma (GSN 4978) and it means a split or gap, and it is where we get our English word Schism. How many times have you known, seen, or heard of a congregation having a schism? It is all too common because you can not get people to agree on what Scripture says. Contentions is the Greek word eris (GSN 2054) and means a quarrel or wrangling. How many times have you known, seen, or heard of people wrangling over the meaning of a passage until someone or a group of people get angry?
HaSatan, by getting men and women to argue over the meaning of words as well as changes in words, has caused the body of the Messiah to split to where many have erred and left the faith because they allowed their forbidden desires to take hold of their minds. In doing so, they chose to allow the Word’s meanings to change because they could not have them stay the same. These people are not arguing over the Word, but rather they are arguing over their forbidden desires and how that they can control others.
Controlling others leads to money and power. The ones who control the masses controls what they do and can order them to do whatever they want. Instead of fighting against him, HaSatan has us fighting against each other, biting and devouring one another to the point that we all lie bloody and spiritually dead. And since no one bothers to seek the truth out, the fighting that they are doing is all based on lies and misinterpretations of Scripture.
These modern day spiritual leaders love to be addressed by titles which make them sound even more above others than they already are. They are called by Pastor or Reverend or Father, but they are not being called these things for the Messiah’s sake. These men and women wish to sit in the honorary places and be given reverence for their positions in the “church.”
They put themselves in the positions of being entrusted with the spiritual truths so that the layman must go to them and them only so as to find out what they need to do in the kingdom of Heaven. If you have any problems, they are the ones who you are to seek out and you are to ask them to pray for you because whatever they pray will happen. They see their positions as destiny and so anyone who questions or who does not recognize their positions are to be shunned. They are excellent at delegating, but do not like to get their hands dirty.
These leaders, who do not teach the truth but revel in the perverted truth work hard to go throughout the world and make disciples for their cause. They scour the land, sea, radio, television, and internet seeking converts to their ways. They teach out of other spiritual leaders books that have been published before them so as to justify their own beliefs and teachings. They seek those who are willing to submit to their teachings and judgments and who will not go to the Word but go through them to go to the Word. These false teachers huddle in seminaries and other ministerial colleges teaching young minds using other books than the Word to explain what the Word really means.
They have bound extra rules to people so as to make sure they do it the certain denominations way. There are books, like the Methodists Book of the Law, that seek to tell you how to live that denominations brand of Christian life. Then they take those rules and regulations and use them to sit in judgment over others, even kicking people out of a denomination if they do not follow that denominations rules and regulations to a tee. They hide their own lives behind closed doors so that no one would be able to see their hypocrisy.
These false teachers love to demand your money and use the last little bit that you have simply to enrich themselves or their own projects. They love the long introductions detailing all the “good works” they have done. They love to be asked to say the prayers or to lead the congregation in study. They love to sit in special places within the building and to wear fancy clothing that distinguishes them from the rest of the people there.
None of this is new, for it has been happening ever since before the time that the Word became flesh and tabernacled among us. This had been happening ever since the times of Moses and after, when leaders took more upon themselves than YHVH gave them permission to do. Here is what The Word had to say to those and these people.
“But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even the Messiah; and all ye are brethren. And call no man your father upon the earth: for one is your Father, which is in heaven. Neither be ye called masters: for one is your Master, even the Messiah. But he that is greatest among you shall be your servant. And whosoever shall exalt himself shall be abased; and he that shall humble himself shall be exalted. But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites For ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites For ye devour widows' houses, and for a pretense make long prayer: therefore ye shall receive the greater damnation. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites For ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves.” (Matthew 23:8-15)
He goes on to say: “Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites For ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess. Thou blind Pharisee, cleanse first that which is within the cup and platter that the outside of them may be clean also. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites for ye are like unto whited sepulchers, which indeed appear beautiful outward, but are within full of dead men's bones, and of all uncleanness. Even so ye also outwardly appear righteous unto men, but within ye are full of hypocrisy and iniquity. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites Because ye build the tombs of the prophets, and garnish the sepulchers of the righteous, and say, ‘If we had been in the days of our fathers, we would not have been partakers with them in the blood of the prophets.’ Wherefore ye be witnesses unto yourselves, that ye are the children of them which killed the prophets. Fill ye up then the measure of your fathers. Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?” (Matthew 23:24-33)
Those words were not only for all of those religious leaders of that day, but they have been for every religious leader that denies the very truth even to this day and beyond. These are people who will divert you from the truth by sending you to another source. They will gladly show you all the awards, recognitions, and degrees proving to you that they are wise. When they do take you to Scripture, they either pull a verse or two out of several different places or they tell you that what you have read is not saying what it says, but really says something else. The modern day scribes who publish modern day translations leave out words, phrases, and even long sections of Scripture simply because it does not bolster their views and they have found manuscripts that do not contain them, written by others who did not share the view of Scripture.
